After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1388: Chapter 403: The Great B*stard Thing

Since the Ballon d’Or, which values strength more, has already been decided,

the Mr. World Football award, which values fame more, should also be secure.

Huang Kaiwen even wondered,

whether he could still win the football award if he didn’t play the entire season until December.

After washing up in the evening,

to help Lily learn history,

they selected a segment from a book on United States history that wasn’t as thick as a textbook.

Lily played the widow of Abraham Lincoln,

while Huang Kaiwen played Lincoln’s half-brother, Johnston,

the brother who was refused a loan by Lincoln.

Though the story leaned towards Liben, considering their families were so close, the plot was pretty normal.

...

When he woke up the next morning,

Huang Kaiwen found Lily still sound asleep.

This girl really can’t take much.

”Master, there’s good news!”

Albert, who was waiting in the living room, said with a smile.

”What news?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

”Regarding Milan’s application for land to build a stadium, it has finally been approved!” Albert said excitedly.

He knew this matter weighed heavily on Huang Kaiwen.

”Really? Where did you see it?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

”The madam called in the morning.”

The madam Albert referred to was Barbara.

”Alright, let me take a look.”

Without bothering with breakfast, Huang Kaiwen directly opened his computer.

As soon as he accessed Milan’s official website, he saw their announcement of this great news: ”After discussions by the city council, Milan’s new stadium plan has finally been approved. The new stadium will have over 70,000 seats and will be a five-star stadium according to UEFA regulations. We are still discussing related matters with Inter Milan, and currently, the stadium name is open for public voting. Fans are welcome to vote.”

Whoa!

Is Milan finally going to have its own stadium?

I wonder if Moratti has any money left.

It’s hard to get such a stadium plan approved without involving a rival.

There’s a big difference between using it for one team and two teams.

Especially with those leeches in Milan.

The young lady must have put in a lot of effort to get this plan through.

The Allianz Arena was built with joint funding from Bayern and 1860 Munich, but later Bayern seemed to have bought the shares back.

Having a stadium belonging to a single team is definitely better.

The turf and even the pitch dimensions can be adjusted to meet one’s own team’s needs.

But there’s no need to rush this matter.

I bet Moratti can’t afford fifty percent anyway.

When he’s ready to sell Inter Milan, I’ll buy back the stadium shares from Inter Milan then.

It’s truly unexpected.

That Milan could one day have its own stadium.

After being excited for half a day,

Huang Kaiwen realized he hadn’t had a meal yet.

Today, the British newspapers are basically all about Chelsea’s last-minute win over Manchester United.

”The Times”: ”No one but time itself can defeat Kevin; even in just eight minutes on the field, Kevin helped Chelsea turn the game around against Manchester United.”

Huang Kaiwen laughed and shook his head.

In a couple of years, the older Yellow Ball King will become even more formidable.

Even time would probably find it hard to defeat the Yellow Ball King.

If he wanted to,

he could even let the next generation of players feel true despair.

However, Huang Kaiwen really had no interest in playing football into his fifties.

”Daily Mail”: ”The probability of Kevin winning the Ballon d’Or is increasing.”

”The Sun newspaper”: ”Deco allegedly has broken off with Anna, and he has resumed contact with Garciarra. Up next is a review of several times Deco’s career got exposed for hiring escorts...”

”Manchester Evening News”: ”Ferguson is willing to accept this outcome, as he had no better options. Manchester United chose excellent tactics in this showdown, but Kevin’s ability surpasses everyone else.”

They also featured a story on the second page about Beckham possibly transferring to Milan.

This is definitely fake.

After all, Milan doesn’t need Beckham.

Right now AC Milan has so many attacking players that they’d need a lottery to decide who plays; what’s lacking are defensive players.

What’s the point of buying Beckham?

The commercial value is high, but the image rights belong to him.

The United Kingdom doesn’t only have Beckham as a superstar.

There’s no need to bring his whole family to Milan City just to earn an extra million or two a year.

After watching TV for a while,

in the afternoon, Huang Kaiwen took Lily and Ramos out for a meal together.

Ramos chose a Spanish restaurant.

But it was indeed very well made.

After an enjoyable lunch, they returned home.

Over the next few days, they had rare opportunities to rest.

On November 14,

Huang Kaiwen flew to France with Lily, Mourinho, and others.

This year’s awards ceremony was arranged to be at a French television station.

Huang Kaiwen suddenly remembered,

that soon the Ballon d’Or and Mr. World Football were going to merge.

That means he’ll only win one less award each year in the future.

On the way to the TV station, Abramovich handed Huang Kaiwen a pamphlet, upon seeing ”Riva” printed on it, Huang Kaiwen asked: ”Is this for me to help you choose a new yacht, boss?”

Riva is a yacht brand under the Ferretti company, always favored by celebrities and the wealthy.

”I told you, call me Roman.”

Abramovich laughed and said, ”I feel like you’ve contributed a lot to Chelsea, so I wanted to gift you a yacht.”

”Thank you very much for your generosity, but no thanks,”

Huang Kaiwen shook his head and said.

He wasn’t that enthusiastic about going out to sea.

Yachts are quite a hassle to maintain.

Borrowing or renting one for occasional outings is sufficient.

”Alright then.”

Abramovich said with a hint of disappointment.

He didn’t know what else to gift Huang Kaiwen.

Once they arrived, they were seated in the audience area.
