Chapter 1367: Chapter 399: The Impending Battle for the Top Spot

Beep——

”Atletico Madrid has a free kick in the frontcourt, this is a good opportunity.”

”Yes, Atletico Madrid’s set-piece ability is not bad, Aguero and Fran and even Simão have the ability to score directly, and several defenders’ heading ability is also quite good.”

Atletico Madrid pays great attention to this attacking opportunity.

Almost the entire team moved to the frontcourt.

Looking at the people in the penalty area, Cech said sternly: ”Don’t let me down, or you’ll pay for it.”

Bale stood by without daring to speak.

Terry turned back with a smile and said, ”Don’t worry, tin man.”

”Hmph!”

Cech responded with a nose snort.

He did not believe Terry’s words at all.

Chelsea’s defense is quite outstanding, but in crucial moments they make inexplicable mistakes.

Fran stood in front of the foul spot, constantly observing the situation in the penalty area.

With the referee’s whistle, Fran ran up and kicked the ball towards the left post.

Indirect free kick!

Terry, standing in the middle, had no way to compete for the first point.

But just as Terry turned his head, he saw Ramos leap high and head the ball out, overpowering Domingos.

Atletico Madrid players frantically ran back.

The attack failed and they lost possession; what awaits them is Chelsea’s counterattack.

Standing outside the box, Mata successfully received the ball at the top of the arc.

Mata smoothly passed the ball to Huntelaar in front.

Huntelaar turned and tapped the ball with his right foot’s instep, passing it forward again in front of Santana.

Damn!

Trailing at the end, Uyfalusi cursed.

In the entire backfield, there were only him and goalkeeper Assuncao, this ball was quite dangerous.

Even though Kevin Huang was only a few meters from him with the ball.

But Uyfalusi did not choose to press forward, instead, he half turned and sprinted back.

He just hoped his teammates would defend faster.

Because Atletico Madrid’s half was empty, Kevin Huang was not in a hurry with the ball.

He dribbled while continuously tapping the ball with his feet, maneuvering it closer to the center.

The booing in Vicente Calderon Stadium grew louder.

Some Atletico Madrid fans no longer dared to watch the field.

In this situation, the possibility of Kevin Huang wasting the attacking opportunity was much lower than him scoring.

As the distance to the penalty area decreased, Kevin Huang pushed forward with his right foot, suddenly accelerating.

Uyfalusi hastily sped up his return run.

But in the next second, Kevin Huang tapped the ball with the outside of his right foot, continuing to dribble towards the center.

Feint!

Uyfalusi knew he was deceived.

Kevin Huang’s right foot had already swung up.

Uyfalusi quickly extended his foot to block Kevin’s far corner shot.

Originally simulating a far corner shot, Kevin twisted his body, pushing the ball with his instep.

The ball rolled quickly and straight towards the goal, and Assuncao, thinking it was a far corner, couldn’t adjust his steps in time, collapsing in place with a reach, but seated in the center he missed the ball, which rolled into the goal almost brushing the left post.

Boom——

”Saint Kevin!”

”Saint Kevin!”

”Saint Kevin!”

The numbed Atletico Madrid fans watched as only a few thousand Chelsea fans glorified in their home stadium.

Kevin Huang ran to the corner flag and leaped with a backflip, oddly making them breathe a sigh of relief.

At least it showed Atletico Madrid was still a formidable opponent, worthy of celebration after scoring against them.

”Coach, shouldn’t there be a substitution?”

Higuain, who had been warming up for a long time, asked.

”No need for your reminder. Pay attention to discipline, I am the coach!”

Mourinho frowned and said.

”Oh, sorry coach.”

Higuain lowered his head, clutching his right fist tightly where Mourinho couldn’t see.

All coaches are the same, no good ones among them.

”Get ready to go on the field.”

Mourinho said.

Higuain’s fist clenched tighter.

Damn!

If he was ready to substitute, was he deliberately scolding me?

Damn it.

Higuain nearly crushed his fist.

He used to think Mourinho was a nice person.

Didn’t expect him to reveal his true colors so soon.

”Kevin, substitution!”

Huntelaar pointed to the sideline and said.

Kevin Huang nodded and walked to the sideline.

Higuain smiled and hugged Kevin Huang actively, ”Nicely done!”

”Good luck!”

Kevin Huang patted Higuain’s back and walked off the field.

Boas handed over a towel and a water bottle.

”Kevin, just leave directly.”

Mourinho affectionately wrapped his arm around Kevin Huang’s shoulder and said: ”Don’t you have friends in Madrid? Just meet with them and if you don’t come back with us tomorrow, give Sérgio a call to send your passport to you.”

Having taken only two steps, Higuain stumbled and nearly fell at the sideline.

Damn!

This is what you call paying attention to discipline?

”Alright, coach, I’ll head out first.”

Kevin Huang nodded.

Mourinho’s goodwill.

Even if he didn’t make prior arrangements, he had to acknowledge Mourinho’s kindness at this moment.

If he behaved too approachable constantly, the coach wouldn’t know how to treat him properly.

Just right, the villa in Madrid hadn’t been sold yet.

He could go there directly for the night.

Exiting the stadium, Kevin Huang directly called a cab to go home.

There were staff left at home for daily maintenance.

No need to worry about cleanliness issues.

After ordering dinner, Kevin Huang turned on the TV to watch the second half.

On the TV, he saw Shakira!

He took out his phone and sent a message.

Chelsea scored two more goals in the second half, with Fran scoring a goal in the final stages, leading to Chelsea’s 8:2 victory over Atletico Madrid.

Just after the match ended, Shakira arrived at the door.
