After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1372: Chapter 400: The Yellow Ball King’s Miraculous Arrival

Huang Kaiwen said.

”I often play basketball.”

Bale nodded and said.

”Don’t you play golf?”

Huang Kaiwen asked curiously.

Could it be that Bale hasn’t started playing golf yet?

”I’m somewhat interested, but haven’t had the time to learn.”

Bale said.

He decided to sign up for a class once he got home.

”Kevin is really good at basketball, even NBA teams have contacted him!”

Ramos chimed in while helping the old butler with the plates.

Bale glanced at the silver tray and the exquisite tableware, and felt completely overwhelmed.

Although it’s an English afternoon tea, he is also from the United Kingdom.

Normally, at home, you’d just use a plate for a freshly baked cake, whoever eats it cuts it, maybe have some cookies, and the whole family would have tea together.

If it’s too fancy, he wouldn’t know where to start; usually only nobility or hotels would have so many items.

Afraid of making a fool of himself by not paying attention to dining etiquette.

Huang Kaiwen noticed Bale’s awkwardness, directly picked up a piece of cake, and stuffed it into Bale’s hand, also taking a piece for himself and taking a bite, saying: ”We’re all family, no need to be so polite. The butler set this up for outsiders to see, don’t worry about it.”

”Yeah, yeah.”

Bale nodded and said.

Just felt that Huang Kaiwen was easier to talk to than he thought.

Didn’t put on any airs at all.

With Huang Kaiwen and Ramos as reference, Bale gradually relaxed.

Had no choice.

When he was in Southampton’s youth team, he grew up watching Huang Kaiwen’s games.

Even as teammates, there was still a sense of distance.

After all, he was someone who had won the Ballon d’Or and Mr. World Football many times, and also won the Laureus Best Male Athlete twice.

Bale had no doubt.

Even if Huang Kaiwen retired now, he’d still be a legendary figure in football.

This was essentially a football king in his prime.

Seeing Huang Kaiwen so approachable, Bale decided to strike while the iron was hot.

”Kevin, I heard you like to play cards?”

Bale asked.

”It’s just a small hobby, let’s not play today.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Although Bale will achieve great things in the future.

Tottenham’s team is notoriously stingy.

He probably hasn’t saved much money at Southampton and Tottenham.

Even if Chelsea’s salary is high, they won’t offer a Tottenham substitute a high salary.

That’s not how it works.

You need to prove yourself before your salary increases.

He’s only proven himself for a couple of years, buying things for the family.

Stars have big expenses for themselves, especially living in London.

Huang Kaiwen guessed if Bale had nearly a seven-figure savings, he was already doing well.

Huang Kaiwen felt bad about winning money from the team’s little brother.

You need someone like Inzaghi, who has a solid background and wouldn’t flinch at spending millions.

”Come on, I like playing too!”

Bale assuredly said: ”Even if it’s another country’s style, I can learn it quickly.”

”Alright then.”

Huang Kaiwen nodded and said.

It’s hard to refuse Bale’s enthusiasm.

Ramos quickly pulled out the ledger.

Collected during the afternoon awards.

Bale left Kevin’s house with a few thousand pounds he won.

Didn’t expect to bring a gift and still make money on his first visit.

Kevin was more amicable than he thought.

And wasn’t upset about losing money.

Invited him to come over more often before leaving.

Bale decided to visit again on the next match day’s rest.

...

”Kevin, this is the world record certificate for the farthest thrown ball by a goalkeeper, and the other is for the 800-meter world record.”

The staff who came over said.

”Shouldn’t there also be a certificate for the speed of Kevin’s kick? A penalty shot over 200 kilometers per hour isn’t a world-first?”

Ramos asked.

”Yes, yes, we forgot about that. We’ll give it to you later.”

The staff said.

”Alright, thank you.”

Huang Kaiwen smiled as he saw them out.

The old butler didn’t forget to give them gifts as well.

Huang Kaiwen really wasn’t that concerned about these records.

Guinness was too watered down.

They record anything.

You could get a world record for farting.

Whether he gets such honors or not, Huang Kaiwen didn’t feel particularly proud.

But Ramos was quite happy.

He touched and examined the two certificates sealed in tempered glass from left to right.

”We should invite them over to celebrate in a few days.”

Ramos enthusiastically said.

”Sure, whatever.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”Alright, I’m heading home.” Ramos said.

”Not staying for dinner?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

It’s just past 5 o’clock, Ramos wasn’t usually this eager to head home.

”My sister’s here, if she knows I’m at your place, she’ll definitely insist on coming over.”

Ramos said with a headache.

Huang Kaiwen hurriedly sent Ramos away.

Mr. Huang had just one principle.

Don’t get involved with teammates’ relatives.

Otherwise, if there’s a fall-out in the future or any conflict, it would make things difficult for the teammate.

Just look at what happened with Giggs and Terry, morally speaking, Giggs was more at fault, but Terry’s situation was definitely more damaging to the team.

Despite Giggs being a scoundrel, he was still a good brother to the team and didn’t affect Manchester United players.

Terry’s situation surely left teammates with their thoughts.

That’s why Huang Kaiwen kept advising Terry not to get involved with Bridge’s girlfriend.

Otherwise, teammates won’t dare invite you over to their homes.

Higuain wanted to pursue Gago’s girlfriend, but ended up getting subtly expelled from the National Team.

So many things in a day.

Huang Kaiwen wasn’t in the mood to keep writing.

During dinner, he saw on TV that Adebayor’s agent was criticizing Arsenal again.

His agent John Smith said: ”Arsenal let my player leave, they accepted the offer, they wanted to sell him to Manchester City. But after the player left, they said he moved for money, so it’s understandable he felt emotional scoring against Arsenal.”
