Chapter 1597: Chapter 1596 Did I Say Something Wrong?

Gao Yun suddenly attacked Lin Dong, delivering a sidekick toward him.

It was evident that he had some training in Taekwondo, possessing some basic skills.

Such a sidekick could sweep an ordinary person off their feet and onto the ground.

However, he was up against Lin Dong.

Lin Dong didn’t even use his Inner Qi; with a casual kick, he sent Gao Yun flying.

”Bang!”

He fell about five or six meters away, heavily crashing onto the ground, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

”Brother Yun.” At the moment, Zhang Hao quickly ran over to help him up.

Gao Yun was in pain all over, looking at Lin Dong with a resentful face.

The others were also shocked by this scene and gathered around.

”Village chief, what happened here?”

”Brother Yun, are you okay?”

Everyone started asking, concerned for Gao Yun.

That kick from Lin Dong was obviously not full-strength, otherwise a casual kick from Lin Dong could have killed him!

It was merely a slight lesson!

Gao Yun just spat some blood and didn’t sustain internal injuries.

A medical student who studied abroad helped him check, saying, ”I’ve just checked Brother Yun and he’s not seriously injured.”

”Brother Yun, what exactly happened here?”

Many people were still unclear about the cause and effect and asked further.

Gao Yun didn’t say much; he had instigated the conflict, and speaking more would only lose him face.

He shook his head and said, ”It’s nothing, just messing around. It’s none of your concern; just enjoy your drinks and have fun. Don’t mind me.”

Lin Dong shrugged his shoulders, uninterested in dealing with them.

He and Li Zhaixing, carefree, went to the dining area to eat.

Both were here on an empty stomach, and since Zhang Xia and Lu Ting had each paid 3000 yuan membership fee for them, wouldn’t it be a huge loss if they didn’t eat?

Seeing this, Zhang Xia couldn’t help giving Lin Dong a thumbs up, ”Handsome Brother Lin, impressive!”

”This scum man deserves such treatment.”

Lu Ting also said, ”Handsome Brother Lin, that kick was cool. Was it Taekwondo?”

While eating, Lin Dong rolled his eyes, ”Do you think that kick just now looked like Taekwondo?”

”Indeed not, but it seems that boys mostly practice Taekwondo. So, subconsciously, I thought that Handsome Brother Lin was using Taekwondo,” Lu Ting explained.

Lin Dong responded, ”To those who seriously practice martial arts, Taekwondo is nothing more than fancy moves.”

These words reached Gao Yun’s ears, and he couldn’t help but retort, ”Kid, that’s only because you haven’t met a real Taekwondo expert!”

”If you encounter a genuine Taekwondo expert from Yinghua Country, they will beat you until you’re searching for your teeth on the ground.”

Lin Dong sneered and asked him, ”Oh, are you dissatisfied? How about we fight again?”

Hearing this, Gao Yun, frightened, instinctively stepped back.

That kick from Lin Dong had not really injured him, but it sure hurt. He was still in pain now.

He knew well that he was no match for Lin Dong, hence he dared not challenge Lin Dong.

His face flushed, he said, ”I am not a Taekwondo expert myself. The Taekwondo experts I mentioned are those from Yinghua Country.”

”I know quite a few experts, kid. Do you dare to fight them? Do you dare to say to their faces that Taekwondo is just fancy moves?”

Lin Dong coldly huffed, ”Why would I not? Bring them on, I will say the same thing!”

”You little fool, you’re really seeking death. Okay, then I will call those Taekwondo experts right now!”

At this point, Gao Yun actually started making a call, summoning the Taekwondo experts he knew.

Taekwondo originated from Yinghua Country, so there are more people practicing Taekwondo here than in Dragon Country.

There are indeed some Taekwondo experts capable of taking on multiple opponents!

Gao Yun knows the strongest person in Taekwondo, named Toyotomi Kei.

This Toyotomi Kei is also the manager of the ’Toyotomi Horse Fencing Club’ and is a side branch member of the Toyotomi Clan.

He knows a bit about Martial Way, but not much, and is a low-rank martial artist.

At the moment, he made a phone call to the other party.

”Lord Jie, it’s me, Gao Yunsang. Are you available today? I am currently at your horse fencing club organizing a fellow countrymen meeting.”

”If you have time, I’d like to invite you to attend.”

”Yes, today we have many beauties from the Dragon Country here...”

”You are at the club? Coming over immediately? That’s great, I, Gao Yunsang, await Lord Jie’s honored visit.”

After hanging up the phone, Gao Yun looked at Lin Dong with a sinister smile and said:

”Kid, I’ve made a call to the other side. When he comes, if you have the guts, say in front of him that Taekwondo is all flash and no substance, impossible to withstand a single blow! Do you dare?”

Lin Dong had seen the ingratiating tone Gao Yun used on the phone just now, and it was shameful that the head of a fellow countrymen association for students studying abroad was flattering a person from Yinghua Country. Regardless of the other’s identity, it was indeed a loss of face for the people of the Dragon Country.

He coldly said: ”You call yourself Gao Yun, right? Are you even fit to be the head of this fellow countrymen association?”

”Haha, whether I’m fit or not, you aren’t qualified to say. I’m just asking you, when the Taekwondo expert from Yinghua Country arrives later, do you dare to repeat what you just said in front of him?” Gao Yun asked again.

Lin Dong hmphed once and said, ”Why wouldn’t I dare?”

”Okay, then I’ll wait to see you get beaten by his Taekwondo until you’re searching for your teeth all over the floor,” Gao Yun scoffed, ”You think just because you know a bit of Three-legged Cat Kung Fu, you can be endlessly arrogant?”

”Let me tell you, in this world, there are some people who are not part of the same world as ordinary people. And the one who’s coming later is one of those people!”

Gao Yun knows that in this world there are martial artists.

He knows Toyotomi Kei is one.

He has witnessed the prowess of Toyotomi Kei and a few other martial artists. In his eyes, martial artists and ordinary people are completely from two different worlds.

Martial artists can easily crush an ordinary person just by flicking their fingers.

By calling Toyotomi Kei over, if he angers Toyotomi Kei, then there is a high possibility Toyotomi Kei might actually kill.

Such a person as Toyotomi Kei, if he truly killed him, what could he, a man from the Dragon Country in a foreign land, do?

Gao Yun waited with a cold smile for Toyotomi Kei to arrive.

Since Toyotomi Kei was already in the club, it didn’t take long for him to come over.

Soon, he arrived at the location of their fellow countrymen gathering.

After Toyotomi Kei arrived, both Gao Yun and Zhang Hao approached him with obsequious smiles.

”Lord Jie, you’ve arrived.”

Toyotomi Kei, who is over one meter seventy tall, is a common ninja level martial artist from Yinghua Country, skilled in Taekwondo.

Being born as a side branch of the Toyotomi Clan and possessing average martial talents, he is just a marginal figure within the Toyotomi Clan.

He manages a minor industry within the Toyotomi Clan, the ’Toyotomi Horse Fencing Club.’

Of course, this kind of identity is marginal in the Toyotomi Clan, but in the eyes of ordinary people, it is unattainable.

Toyotomi Kei recognizes Gao Yun, and they seem to have a good relationship.

He nodded at Gao Yun, laughingly said: ”Gao Yunsang, where are the beauties from the Dragon Country?”

Toyotomi Kei pointed towards Zhang Xia and Lu Ting who were not far away.

Gao Yun then leaned closer to Toyotomi Kei with a sly grin and whispered something.

Then, suddenly pointing at Lin Dong, he said: ”Lord Jie, but next to those two beauties, there is a flower protector who is very arrogant.”

”He just took a swing at me, which was fine as it ended there. But because I used improperly learned Taekwondo, he belittled Taekwondo, saying it is all flash and no substance, unable to withstand a single blow...”

Hearing this, Toyotomi Kei’s complexion darkened, and he looked towards Lin Dong.

”People of the Dragon Country, did you say such things just now?”

Many people at the fellow countrymen meeting gave him a hint, signaling him to deny it. It was clear to keen-eyed people that Toyotomi Kei was not someone to be trifled with.

Lin Dong, after all, is from the Dragon Country, and other members of the fellow countrymen association didn’t find Gao Yun as abhorrent; naturally, they hoped their compatriot would be safe abroad.

However, Lin Dong seemed not to notice their suggestive glances and simply said flatly:

”I did say that. Is there anything wrong with those words?”
