Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Saving Old Master Ye

Lin Dong stood with his hands behind his back, seemingly indifferent to Ye Linglong’s repeated pleas.

Mayor Fang continued to implore, ”Master Lin, Old Master Ye has dedicated his life to military service and his contributions shine bright in this world. In light of this, please lend your aid to treat him.”

Lin Dong pondered, and finally nodded, ”Very well, I shall intervene to save him.”

Having said that, he turned his head to look at Ye Linglong.

”Ye Linglong, remember your condition!”

Ye Linglong’s body trembled, then she quickly nodded, ”Naturally, I am willing to accept the bet and concede defeat.”

Ye Ruyu, standing to the side, had an incredibly ugly expression on her face but dared not say anything more. She merely lowered her head and internally clenched her teeth, thinking:

”Lin Dong, if you can’t cure my grandpa, I’ll risk my life to fight you to the death!”

At that moment, Lin Dong also approached Old Master Ye, who lay rigid on the bed.

Old Divine Doctor Li Qingyang had been pacing there all the while, but despite various pulse diagnostics, was unable to discern the cause of Old Master Ye’s critical illness.

He also witnessed the battle between Lin Dong and Ye Linglong.

And he was, of course, greatly surprised!

He had never imagined that Lin Dong’s strength could actually suppress Ye Linglong!

With such martial arts prowess, this person was no longer someone he could afford to underestimate.

”Can you truly cure Old Master Ye? What exactly is his illness?”

Old Divine Doctor Li Qingyang’s eyes were intently fixed on Lin Dong as he asked.

Lin Dong didn’t answer but instead directly picked up Old Master Ye, who was stiff and hanging on by a thread, from the bed.

Immediately, he punched him in the abdomen!

”Boom~~~~” The power of this punch was terrifying, sending Old Master Ye flying out of the room.

In the end, he crashed heavily into the courtyard outside!

Whew!!!

Everyone was stunned by this scene.

Complete silence fell over the entire area!

Apparently, everyone was shocked by Lin Dong’s actions.

It took several minutes before people could react.

Veins bulged on Ye Ruyu’s face as she let out a fierce roar, ”Lin Dong, you’re seeking death, thinking you can do whatever you want just because you’re strong in martial arts?”

”My grandpa was already hanging on to his last breath, yet you still treat him like this!”

Killing intent rose again from Ye Linglong, even though Lin Dong had won against her and earned her respect with his strength. Yet Lin Dong’s current actions were too despicable.

Her grandpa was already critically ill. Lin Dong’s ’desecration’ of him fueled a hatred that couldn’t be shared under the heavens.

Li Qingyang was also stunned, then he shook his head, saying, ”I thought you had a way to cure him, but I didn’t expect such grandstanding!”

”Old Master Ye still had a breath left in him, but now with your punch, he’s likely dead. You’re a murderer!”

Others also began speaking up.

”Lin Dong, to treat a hero like Old Master Ye in such a manner, even dying a million times would not be enough for you!”

”Do you really think that just because you defeated our Miss, you can do as you please?”

”You are doomed, the Military Department will not let you off!”

”Though you have strength, daring to kill a hero means only a dead end!”

”...”

Swish swish swish~~~~

At this moment, a group of War Soldiers, fully armed, entered from outside the Ye Family home.

This troop of War Soldiers was the elite guard of the Ye Family from the War Department.

There were over fifty of them, each holding a rifle in hand.

Ye Ruyu shrieked, ”Lin Dong, no matter how high your martial arts skill, can you stop bullets?”

”Elite War Soldiers, this man has murdered my grandpa. No need for a trial, just open fire and shoot him dead!”

Just as those elite soldiers were about to fire, a sudden turn of events occurred.

”Cough cough... Hold your fire!” A hoarse voice echoed from the courtyard.

Then, to everyone’s astonishment, the person speaking turned out to be Old Master Ye, who had been sent flying by Lin Dong.

They saw him actually getting up from the ground, coughing violently, and as he coughed, he expelled black blood mottled with disgusting wriggling worms, which was quite unsettling to behold.

Everyone was dumbfounded, never expecting Old Master Ye to actually awaken.

”Grandpa, have you woken up?” Ye Linglong was incredibly surprised and hurried toward Old Master Ye.

Old Master Ye Zheng stopped coughing and first nodded slightly toward his granddaughter.

Afterward, he bowed toward Lin Dong’s direction, ”Many thanks to the Young Miracle Doctor for saving me, I feel much better now!”

After speaking, he frowned at the armed soldiers in the courtyard and said, ”Lower your guns; this Divine Doctor was saving me, not attacking me!”

Whew!!

Another wave of commotion and shock ensued!

No one had expected that Lin Dong’s punch was actually to save someone.

And evidently, it was effective!

Old Miracle Doctor Li Qingyang had practiced medicine all his life, encountered countless mysterious illnesses, and witnessed all sorts of medical techniques but had never seen anything like Lin Dong’s approach.

Now filled with curiosity, he hurried to Old Master Ye’s side, wanting to discover the reason.

Suddenly, he saw the black poisoned blood expelled by Old Master Ye, teeming with tiny worms.

”This... the blood is poisoned. Could it be the real cause of Old Master Ye’s illness is due to poisoning?” he exclaimed.

At this revelation, everyone was shocked again.

Particularly Ye Linglong, as killing intent once again shrouded her.

”Who dares to poison my grandpa!?”

Her tone was icy cold, and the killing intent radiating from her caused the surrounding temperature to plummet.
