Chapter 52 -52: Healing Disease with a Slap

“Lin Dong, have you lost your mind!” Huang Hua bellowed, then immediately shouted at Brother Snake’s underlings, “What are you standing around for?”

“Smash him, this guy actually dared to hit Brother Snake.”

Brother Snake’s little brothers were also stunned. Wasn’t this guy supposed to treat Brother Snake’s sickness?

Out of the blue, he slapped Brother Snake twice? What did that mean? Was he looking for death?

Qiao Bing was dumbfounded too, unable to understand why Lin Dong would do such a thing.

The interns were also discussing it.

“Tan Ya, is your teacher sick or something? Assaulting a patient? Just for that, he could be dismissed,” Zhang Yao, an intern under Huang Wude, said to Tan Ya.

Tan Ya was bewildered, thinking, my mentor couldn’t possibly be violent, could he?

At this moment, she noticed that Brother Snake’s henchmen were charging towards Lin Dong.

Huang Hua continued yelling, “Lin Dong, you’re definitely dead this time! Assaulting a patient, and it’s Brother Snake of all people, you’re finished…”

However, at that moment, Brother Snake shouted, “All of you, fucking stop!”

Those who were about to rush at Lin Dong came to a sudden halt in their tracks.

Perplexed, Huang Hua reminded him, “Brother Snake, you’re sick, and this guy just hit you. Don’t let him get away with it!”

Brother Snake glared at him and said, “You don’t know shit. Just now, Divine Doctor Lin wasn’t hitting me, he was treating me!”

“I was in such pain I wanted to die, but after being slapped twice by him, my whole body feels relaxed.”

“I’m not in any pain now.”

Everyone: “…”

Everyone was shocked!

Incredulously, Huang Hua said, “Treating with slaps? No way, right?”

Qiao Bing was also stunned. Was Lin Dong’s medical arts so terrifying?

With a “thud,” Brother Snake knelt before Lin Dong at that moment, saying, “Thank you, Divine Doctor Lin, for treating me despite our previous grudges.”

Lin Dong shook his head and said, “Just now, I only temporarily relieved your pain. I haven’t cured you yet.”

Hearing this, Brother Snake’s face turned iron blue again.

The thought of future relapses filled him with fear.

He knew that the other party definitely had a way to completely cure him.

But he wasn’t willing!

“You’d better watch yourself,” Lin Dong said as he turned and left.

Following behind him, intern Tan Ya quickly caught up.

This mentor of hers was incredibly impressive.

She was genuinely relieved that she had become his intern.

“Thank goodness I didn’t agree to be Doctor Thomas’s intern, or I would’ve missed out big time,” Tan Ya praised her own cleverness. Having such a mentor, what was Haver Medical School compared to this?

This was even better than a walking Haver Medical School!

Just as Lin Dong had left, Brother Snake looked distraught with a gloomily changing expression.

Seeing this, Huang Hua came over to console him, “Brother Snake, it’s okay. Next time you have an episode, I’ll treat you.”

“It’s just slapping, right? I can do that too…”

“Pop—” Brother Snake slapped him across the face and looked at him as if he were an idiot, “I’ll start by using slaps to cure your brain-dead disease!”

“You idiot, do you think you’re Divine Doctor Lin? Do you think you can do the same as him?!”

Clutching his slapped face, Huang Hua felt wronged. Wasn’t it just slapping? Did it make a difference whether he or Lin Dong did it?

How could he know that even slapping required knowledge?

The slap from Lin Dong had been aimed precisely at the acupoints on the face.

The exact acupoints, combined with the right amount of force, could temporarily relieve Brother Snake’s pain.

…

Lin Dong returned to the Doctor’s Office, with intern Tan Ya quickly following.

She was filled with admiration for Lin Dong.

“Teacher, you were just too handsome,” Tan Ya said with stars in her eyes. “From now on, I will steadfastly follow you.”

Lin Dong laughingly said, “You are a Western Medicine Student, are you sure you want to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine with me?”

“Of course,” Tan Ya said, clenching her fists firmly.

“Aren’t you afraid you won’t find a job after graduation?” Lin Dong asked again.

“I believe that the essence of being a doctor is to cure the patients. As long as I master medical arts, whether it’s Traditional Chinese Medicine or Western Medicine, that’s what really matters,” Tan Ya said earnestly.

Lin Dong nodded, “Good understanding, okay, I’ll take you on as an intern.”

“Hee hee, thank you, Teacher!”

At this moment, Doctor Thomas came running over again.

He had also been in the crowd and witnessed Lin Dong using the slap to cure the disease.

He was astounded!

“Mr. Lin Dong, let me be your intern too?” Doctor Thomas said earnestly.

He was completely drawn to Traditional Chinese Medicine, and he was very curious about this miraculous medical art.

Lin Dong was speechless. This old fart, whose language skills were not even on par with his, how could he teach him?

Lin Dong refused once again.

Thomas was insistent, and Lin Dong started to become afraid of him.

It was also time to finish work.

Lin Dong simply left the hospital.

After he had gone, Doctor Thomas still did not give up.

“Tan Ya, from now on, you’re my senior sister,” Doctor Thomas said seriously.

Tan Ya: ???

She was a bit bewildered!

A renowned overseas neurosurgeon, their hospital’s Neurosurgery Director Huang Wude’s instructor, shamelessly wanting to be her junior brother?

Then… what should Doctor Huang Hua call her?

And what about her intern classmate Zhang Yao, who came with her? What should she call her?
