Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“So confident?”

“Mhm.”

I nodded.

At the moment the concept of the Life Clone was born, some concepts became self-evident.

Regarding the process of consciousness being born from life, I was no longer a bystander, but a participant.

The perspective of observation was different, and the ability to understand was different.

Observation, experience, and understanding were truly, to a certain extent, the best means to cognize those unknowable things.

“However, at this stage I might be quite busy. The Ancient Glacial Ice over there cannot complete the gestation of subsequent life consciousness after completely ending its own life; it requires me to take action, so I might not have time in the near future.”

“No time... that’s no matter.”

Academy Head Mei spoke.

At this stage, the Ancient Glacial Ice was groping for the large-scale preparation technique of Hexagonal Crystal Amber, so there was no rush to use it as a trade.

Regarding the initial attempt at this technique, it had created countless fine fragments of Hexagonal Crystal Amber in the Qunluosen Wasteland, accompanied by a large amount of associated materials.

This also directly verified the possibility of this method.

It couldn’t be helped; before the Grand Spellbook was created, what I experimented with most were those materials.

These associated materials were all by-products used to verify the Hexagonal Crystal Amber.

After perfecting the preparation technique, the King of Ancient Glacial Ice would be traded to the Main World Consciousness.

After that would be the trade and cooperation between the academy and the World Consciousness.

I believed the Ancient Glacial Ice would not be so tactless.

Academy Head Mei chatted with me a bit more about the Ancient Glacial Ice matter.

Since a decision had already been made, it was naturally necessary to make preparations for the variables that might happen later.

According to what Academy Head Mei and my clones learned, some Witches tried to use the Ancient Glacial Ice Transformation Spell as an entry point to see if they could borrow the might of the Grand Spellbook.

After all, the entire race of the Ancient Glacial Ice had transformed themselves into power.

And the result was... they could, but they were restricted by the King of Ancient Glacial Ice.

This meant that if Witches wanted to prepare Hexagonal Crystal Amber later, they would inevitably need to deepen cooperation with the Ancient Glacial Ice.

Or... make the Main World surrender; then the Ancient Glacial Ice belonging to the Main World would willingly work hard for the Witches.

There were also Witches who proposed the suggestion of Witchification for the Ancient Glacial Ice.

But because it might intensify the conflict between the Witches and the Main World Consciousness, it was explicitly prohibited.

I chatted with Academy Head Mei quite a bit on this topic.

After all, this matter involved many things, and certain matters that needed to be fully disclosed naturally required communication.

Otherwise, if things were ambiguous, it would lead to difficulty in execution in the end.

After finishing these topics, Academy Head Mei mentioned the topic of the Academy War.

The development of the Academy War this time was somewhat beyond my expectations.

With the promotion of the Power Network model, the conflicts that broke out first were actually regional conflicts, which were conflicts between ordinary people.

To be more detailed... violent friction between families.

Rather than conflicts between academies.

Transcendent Academies did not interfere with the society of ordinary people, and families took over the vacancies in social governance.

The academies defaulted to this solution.

After all, a world was too big; someone always needed to complete regional integration.

This feeling was somewhat similar to the Game World.

However, the Game World only had one Infinite Group, but the Main World had many Transcendent Academies, and there were large and small families in society.

But regardless, everything was moving towards the established direction.

The major trend could not be changed, but the minor trends could.

Once a conflict broke out, there would always be hands that did not want it to stop, fanning the flames.

After finishing my chat with Academy Head Mei, I also left this place with Big Sis Bai.

Not long after I left, Mei Linde did not rise from the sofa.

A clone simply appeared beside her, stood up, and went to get busy with some auditing work within the academy.

Only a part of the new branch had been established just now.

The Witch Academy back then was the same, developing into its current look under the witness of batch after batch of students.

Mei Linde’s clone picked up an application from the side.

It was a request from that Witch Dana, wanting to establish a Witch Cat Cafe in the best lot of the new branch.

Inside, it also mentioned some arrangements regarding the Fool’s Dreams.

Mei Linde recalled the matter of the Fool’s Dreams.

If the Fool’s Dreams really were to become true lives, the number needing settlement would absolutely not be small.

After all, she had learned that Xiao Han brought back the Fool’s Dreams of an entire Fool’s Village from the unknowable depths of the Primal Dream State...

She hadn’t seen it with her own eyes; she hoped there weren’t too many.

However, at this moment, Mei Linde’s main body did not move.

Throughout the entire process, it was only the clone processing these work-related matters.

“Aren’t you coming out to have a cup of tea? You should be done listening by now, right?”

Mei Linde spoke.

There were not many Witches in the Witch Academy that she would deliberately tolerate like this; that Anti-Witch she let sneak in was definitely one of them.

“Called out just in time. If you were a second slower, I originally planned to just leave like this.”

A familiar voice accompanied by a familiar figure appeared here.

It was exactly Cheryl.

“Is there any matter you called me out for? I know you don’t like me much. If you just came out to bicker with me, that would be too boring.”

Cheryl asked with a smile.

However, as Cheryl finished her words, another voice sounded along with them: “It’s the Academy Head Hello, Academy Head.”

The one who emitted this voice was exactly the little fellow perched on Cheryl’s shoulder.

“Hello, what is this little fellow’s name?”

The Academy Head looked at this petite figure and asked softly, even while facing Cheryl.

“I am called Fool’s Tea.”

“Fool’s Tea? I didn’t expect you would actually follow her.”

Mei Linde’s gaze looked at Cheryl again and she continued: “By the way, what exactly is going on today? Is it in fashion to travel with a Fool’s Dream? Also... where did you abduct this one from?”

“Don’t say it like that, how can you call it abducting?”

Cheryl said with a look of grievance: “As for where I met her... naturally at the Witch Cat Cafe. I felt she and I had a lot of affinity, so I invited her to witness some other scenery, and she agreed.”

“Yes, Big Sis Cheryl is super amazing! She took me to many places, super interesting! I even took photos to share with the other Fool’s Dreams they are very envious too!”

Fool’s Tea excitedly shook the ultra-miniature camera in her hand; it should be a custom model hand-crafted with alchemy.

“So the reason I didn’t see you causing trouble during this period was actually that you took her traveling?”

“Witches have their own lives too, okay? Are Anti-Witches not Witches anymore?”

Cheryl asked back.

“Fine, I won’t ask more about your personal life. What is the purpose of your appearance this time? Xiao Han just arrived here, and you followed right after. Being so active?”

“Naturally to care about Xiao Han. Xiao Han suddenly appeared in that posture; of course I was worried. Especially when she came to find you afterwards... in the end, I didn’t expect to learn about such a wonderful thing.”

“And so? What do you plan to do?”

“Let nature take its course Xiao Han has her own wonderful ideas, and I don’t plan to stop her. I even support her strongly. But unfortunately, I cannot provide any assistance on the path she is taking.”

After all, Transcendent Witches could achieve many things by risking everything, but encountering Transcendent academic problems gave them a headache too.

“It’s enough that you recognize your positioning. I don’t want you to forcibly interfere with Xiao Han.”

“Aren’t you ashamed to say that to me? Is your own positioning accurate yet you talk about me.”

Cheryl directly retorted: “Oh actually it’s quite accurate. Investing in advance, giving a favor, and even entrusting your own Grand Spellbook to Xiao Han. Why don’t you be a bit more generous and give away that Grand Spellbook too?”

“That would require it to be give-awayable first. If Xiao Han hadn’t mentioned it to me, I would have ignored this contract, but Xiao Han remembered it very clearly. After talking for a long time, I still used a favor as a way to ignore those two Primal Spell Sequences. Otherwise, Xiao Han might really create another race for me one day, not to mention a portion of [Transcendent Knowledge]. Does Xiao Han lack a Grand Spellbook?”

“Fine, fine let’s not talk about this. Let’s talk about Xiao Han herself.”

Cheryl came to the side of the sofa, tinkered with the tea set to pour herself a cup of black tea, leisurely poured another cup for Fool’s Tea, and then continued:

“By the way, if my feeling isn’t wrong... Xiao Han’s level of life has been soaring quite fast recently, less than two years since enrollment, and she’s almost touching the threshold of True Time, right?”

“You don’t know about this?”

“You didn’t tell me, Xiao Han didn’t tell me, and that Bai Yu didn’t tell me either. All appraisals and searches by the Seed of Great Knowledge are classified information. How would I know?”

Cheryl said with a posture of giving up.

“That means there are still many things you don’t know.”

Mei Linde said crossly.

“True you guys indeed kept me in the dark quite miserably. If the secret realm hadn’t exploded, I wouldn’t have known that Ancient Glacial Ice was actually Xiao Han’s clone.”

Cheryl continued to complain.

But her tone was mostly one of exclamation.

Before Mei Linde could respond, Cheryl followed up: “Tell me roughly when will Xiao Han advance to Transcendent? Three years? One year? Or... half a year?”

“I’m not clear. Why do you ask this? Do you want to give Xiao Han a gift after she enters the Transcendent Entry into Saint Stage?”

“Giving a gift would be too out of character for my identity as an Anti-Witch.”

Cheryl waved her hand in disdain.

“Then what do you want to do?”

Mei Linde frowned.

After all, the meaning of the other party’s sentence was that she would ”congratulate” Xiao Han on becoming a Transcendent Witch in the manner of an Anti-Witch.

“For the ‘childhood’ Xiao Han missed, I plan to help her have one without regrets. How about... a Coming-of-Age Ceremony?”

“Nonsense!”

“How is it nonsense!”

Cheryl’s voice directly drowned out Mei Linde’s.

“You... are already preparing for it?”

“You can think of it that way. Treat it as lighting up this missing puzzle piece of the Main World for the Void. I will do my best to let more eyes of the Void turn here. And you guys just happen to be able to declare the ownership of the Main World, and then push Xiao Han onto the stage of the Void in one stroke.”

“...”

“If you’re silent... I’ll take it as your default consent although whether you agree or not, the final result won’t change.”

Looking at the silent Mei Linde, Cheryl was not in a hurry.

At least this time the other party wasn’t rushing to refute, which showed that the other party had already passed the stage of refuting just for the sake of refuting her.

She was thinking.

A Coming-of-Age Ceremony held by Anti-Witches for a Witch advancing to Transcendent; this kind of honor was not something just anyone was qualified to receive.

Rather than calling it a Coming-of-Age Ceremony, it would be better to call it a grand event of the Void!

At that time, countless young talents and geniuses of the same level would gather here.

This was equivalent to using the Void as a stage and building an opportunity to gather.

If this were an ordinary Coming-of-Age Ceremony, then countless geniuses and talents competing and challenging by name would just be episodes on the stage, ultimately fighting for a ranking in everyone’s cognition.

If a Coming-of-Age Ceremony was held specifically for someone, it meant that the hosting force possessed absolute confidence that the person could suppress all other geniuses.

Otherwise, it would be a joke!

If Cheryl held this Coming-of-Age Ceremony for Xiao Han, then Xiao Han would not only encounter challenges from various internal factions of the Witch race, but other Transcendent races of the Void would also target her.

Xiao Han would not only have to bear the pressure from countless geniuses but also carry the expectations of the Witch race.

She could not lose!

Absolutely could not!

That kind of pressure and despair was not something anyone could bear.

There were also countless geniuses within the Witch race; they didn’t have such treatment either, so Xiao Han would first and foremost face challenges from those geniuses!

If she couldn’t even win against them, then Xiao Han would have no qualification to represent the Witch race in holding her own Coming-of-Age Ceremony!

At least losing to fellow clansmen of the same race would look better than losing to other Transcendent races.

In battles with other Transcendent races, there was no such thing as showing mercy; it was common to fight until even a Resurrection Spell couldn’t bring someone back.

And during this period, other Transcendent Witches could not take action.

If they did, then existences of an even higher level would intervene.

The Coming-of-Age Ceremony had no room for losers who couldn’t afford to lose!

Not even for geniuses!

“Have you considered it?”

Cheryl put down the tea cup in her hand and stood up.

This time, she had brought a big piece of news to Mei Linde.

Or rather, a surprise.

Yang Yuehan’s Coming-of-Age Ceremony.

She was worth the Anti-Witch group taking a risk for her once.

She wouldn’t be wrong.

The only thing worth worrying about was... Xiao Han’s experience was still too little.

The Main World lacked everything.

No geniuses, no opponents within, much less enemies of equal match, no conflicts or games between forces, and even very few races.

There was a reason why the races of the Void were called the Myriad Races of the Void...

“You’re not going to just blurt out... ‘it’s still too risky’, are you?”

Just as Mei Linde was about to speak, Cheryl spoke first.

“I’ll be very disappointed if you really say that.”

Mei Linde’s words got stuck in her throat, making it a bit awkward for a moment.

Only after a while did she speak: “When do you plan to tell Xiao Han about this?”

“Naturally after she advances to Transcendent.”

Cheryl said as a matter of course.

“After advancing to Transcendent? I thought you would say now, and then speak pompously about giving Xiao Han a bit of pressure so she’ll have motivation.”

Mei Linde spoke.

“How could that be? Xiao Han never lacks motivation; she has her own ideas... moreover, regarding this matter, my positioning is... a surprise! A surprise is naturally only revealed at the final moment.”
