Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“Why couldn’t it? The Witch’s Contract was never a tool for Witches to make things difficult for other Witches.”

Academy Head Mei spoke very casually.

Although the extended meaning expressed by her saying this might not be correct, there was essentially no problem with this sentence; the Witch’s Contract was never a tool for Witches to make things difficult for other Witches.

Dealing with specific situations as they arise—this phrase used to describe the current state of affairs was absolutely without any problem.

“That’s good, that’s good... regardless, since Big Sis Mei said it like that, I will definitely be grateful to you.”

“You’re overstating it. Is it still so hard to distinguish between us and Big Sis Mei?”

As the topic returned to her rhythm, she also felt the atmosphere of the chat becoming relaxed.

Even she had not expected that Xiao Han would view such a small matter with such importance; perhaps this matter involved things she cared about?

However, Mei Linde did not think much of it.

Xiao Han just cared about some Fool’s Dreams; it was just a small matter.

Fool’s Dreams were not Witches, so it hadn’t reached the point where she would place importance on them.

What made her somewhat curious was whether Xiao Han would let the Fool’s Dreams become a branch of the Witch race in the future, becoming Fool’s Dream Witches or something... thinking that the Witch race might have such cute little fellow clansmen in the future made her feel somewhat expectant.

“True... it’s because I thought of Big Sis Mei as too serious, it’s my fault...”

“It’s good that you know the problem.”

Mei Linde moved from her lazy posture leaning against the sofa to sitting upright again.

“However... since you brought up the matter of the contract, Xiao Han, then let’s confirm this Witness Contract and trial again, so as to save you from misunderstandings in the future, Xiao Han.”

“Confirm it again? That’s fine too!”

I nodded hurriedly.

If this matter could be explained clearly, I would also be at ease.

“Then I’ll just say it straight. Let’s review the situation at that time. At that time, your reputation was gradually rising in the academy, and you entered the Fool’s Village Secret Realm under the suggestion of your counselor. In the secret realm, you first displayed your powerful talent in Spirit Vision, as well as your savvy and insight on the Transcendent level.”

“Actually, during that period of time, I had already shelved the progress regarding the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell to a certain extent. After all, without that Revelation of yours at the time, it would have taken me at least decades, or even a hundred years, to preliminarily complete the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell.”

“This... shouldn’t be that exaggerated, right?”

Being told this by the Academy Head, I did indeed feel a bit strange.

“Regardless of what is said, you have already perfected a Grand Spellbook. If I say it would take a hundred years, it would take a hundred years.”

Mei Linde became assertive at this moment.

“Big Sis Mei is right!”

“Then continuing, after completing the creation of the Grand Spellbook, I handed the Grand Spellbook and the Fool’s Dreams over to you. The Grand Spellbook served as an investment, while the Fool’s Dreams were the accompanying attachment that matched the Grand Spellbook.”

“To soothe your unease, I proposed that this was a trial for you. Since it was an investment, I proposed one portion of [Transcendent Knowledge] and two Primal Spell Sequences as my return, which also served as your trial missions.”

“During this period, I guided you with words, letting the portion of [Transcendent Knowledge] awakened by your enrollment talent serve as the first trial chip. Later, I informed you of the concept of Primal spells and used it to motivate you to obtain two Primal Spell Sequences through the life experiment of the Fool’s Dream.”

“Xiao Han, the process was roughly such a process, right?”

Mei Linde asked with a smile.

“Um, pretty much.”

I nodded, not caring about the issues of some details; it indeed was like that at the time.

“Then let’s look at the trial from back then from the perspective of having come this far?”

“Okay.”

“First is the investment I gave you. The Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell has already been dismantled by you, so in principle, what I gifted you was actually the Fool’s Dream Sacred Relic [Transcendent Knowledge] in your mouth, as well as the dream-state consciousness that is the Fool’s Dream. I didn’t use the technical terms wrong, did I?”

“No.”

I shook my head and said: “But I don’t think it should be said like that. In the beginning, the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell still brought me great inspiration, and even many of the unique techniques I master were created and derived at that time.”

“Don’t say those hollow things, wasn’t it all dismantled by you in the end.”

The Academy Head said mockingly.

“Uh... is Big Sis Mei still brooding over me dismantling the Grand Spellbook?”

I spoke up somewhat awkwardly.

“Out with the old, in with the new. Although I couldn’t understand it at first, however... just now, I changed my mind. Because I also really want to witness a miracle, the Primal Great Fool’s Dream Transformation Spell. When it succeeds, you must let me, Big Sis Mei widen my horizons!”

“Mhm! Definitely!”

I nodded firmly.

The Academy Head had spoken to this extent, so I naturally couldn’t say anything else.

“Next is the issue of the return on the trial and investment. Actually, regarding this point, I still had some selfishness at the time. As for the Primal spells, I can do without them...”

“Wait! Big Sis Mei! How can you do without them? One thing is one thing. I am confident...”

Hearing the Academy Head’s words, I immediately interrupted Big Sis Mei’s action, but before I could finish, my words were also interrupted by the Academy Head.

“Fine then! Those two Primal Spell Sequences, I can want them, but... I hope you won’t give them to me. How about that?”

“...?”

I was momentarily unable to react to the Academy Head’s words.

Finally, I tilted my head and subconsciously threw out a question mark.

“This Witness Contract has no mandatory execution deadline. This means you can keep dragging it out until the end of your life, mine, or both of ours; this contract will have no binding force for execution. This counts as a bit of my selfishness...”

Mei Linde began to explain.

“I have foreseen my path. Admittedly... I am undoubtedly very successful in the Main World, respected by many Witches, but I feel I cannot take another step forward. The limit that can be reached in the Main World is likely my upper limit from now on. Strength is not everything for every Witch, but you are different, Xiao Han. Your seriousness and love for Transcendence, as well as that persistence that many Witches cannot understand, coupled with your talent—you can go even further...”

“Actually, I regret not investing in you earlier. When you rise, the things you do could even influence the arrangements at my level. So I want to take this opportunity to leave a favor. The Grand Spellbook, plus the period when you were just starting to rise—I want to use this method...”

“Big Sis Mei...”

I interrupted what Mei Linde was saying, then continued: “Just now you said to me that since I call you Big Sis Mei, there’s no need to be so formal. Now it’s conversely you who is being formal with me in this regard!”

“Formal... yes, I’ve become formal too.”

Mei Linde smiled and shook her head, then her gaze looked at me again:

“Xiao Han, regarding the matter I just spoke about... have you considered it? It doesn’t matter even if you don’t consider it. Regarding the things you are worried about, I won’t make things difficult for you in this regard either.”

“What did you just say? I didn’t quite hear it clearly Big Sis Mei, aren’t we talking about the matter of Primal spells? Such important things as the Primal Fool’s Dream spells, I naturally couldn’t just hand them over to Big Sis Mei like that. Big Sis Mei will have to wait a while longer!”

I spoke, but my words weren’t finished yet.

“Don’t worry I definitely won’t be in arrears. We’ll talk about it whenever I want to create a new batch of races! But creating a new race is truly too difficult; you’ve personally experienced this point as well, Big Sis Mei. There are truly too many uncontrollable factors. If it’s dragged out for a few hundred million years, I hope Big Sis Mei will understand my difficulty. If it really doesn’t work... we’ll discuss changing the content of the Witness Contract then. How about that?”

As I finished this long paragraph, the eyes of Mei Linde, who was originally somewhat dazed, instantly lit up!

“Xiao Han, you really are...”

Saying this, Mei Linde subconsciously began to laugh.

Xiao Han really knew how to talk.

She really didn’t know what was going on with Xiao Han; sometimes her EQ was so low it made a Witch anxious, and sometimes her EQ was actually online.

“So, Big Sis Mei should be able to understand my difficulty, right? I’m so busy normally, and so tired, I really can’t find time to create a brand-new race. You said it yourself, Big Sis Mei, that the Primal Fool’s Dream Spell Sequences don’t meet the conditions of the contract! You can’t go back on that.”

“Fine, fine, fine! I won’t go back on it!”

Mei Linde said with a laugh: “Since that’s the case, then there’s no need to quibble over the matter of confirming the contract anymore, right?”

“Ah wait!”

I said hurriedly.

“Is there anything else, Xiao Han?”

Mei Linde was a bit surprised.

Since Xiao Han had already agreed to this matter, there shouldn’t be anything else to handle.

“[Transcendent Knowledge] Big Sis Mei hasn’t forgotten this, right? The Great Weakening Spell was originally yours, Big Sis Mei, wasn’t it? What I promised was only two Primal spells; it didn’t include this portion of [Transcendent Knowledge].”

I spoke.

I was very clear on how important the Great Weakening Spell was to the Academy Head.

Back then, the Grand Spellbook was forcibly used by the Academy Head and eventually shattered and fell into the Main World.

That so-called talent awakening ceremony at enrollment was essentially a ”random” method used in hopes of relying on the accumulation of time to fish back the [Transcendent Knowledge] after the Grand Spellbook shattered.

It could be said how much importance the Academy Head placed on this.

Now it was right before the Academy Head; how could she not want it?

“Great Weakening Spell...”

Mentioning this term, Mei Linde still uncontrollably fell into memories.

“Don’t think of your Big Sis Mei as if she’s nothing without the Grand Spellbook! Current me is still an existence that makes many Transcendents apprehensive. Regarding that portion of [Transcendent Knowledge], continue to keep it. You can even research it, try it, and use it for experiments.”

“And then I’ll make it into a brand-new Grand Spellbook and return it to Big Sis Mei, how about that?”

I followed the conversation and asked.

“Rea... ahem, mhm, I didn’t say that sentence; that was your own guess.”

The Academy Head coughed lightly to hide her embarrassment, then continued: “If you really have that capability, then I look forward to your results.”

“Mhm! If I have time I’ll give it a try.”

“Everything should still be based on your own rhythm. I’m not in a hurry; I passed the stage of being in a hurry for everything long ago. I have plenty of time to wait, to wait for a matter to slowly ferment.”

Mei Linde spoke.

Actually, she really hoped Xiao Han would ponder it herself; perhaps she could figure something out.

If this portion of [Transcendent Knowledge] returned to her hands, at most it would only become the Great Weakening Spell again, and it would also take several decades.

Currently, the situation of the Main World changed every day; she didn’t have enough time to settle down just to work on one Grand Spellbook.

Better to leave it to Xiao Han and see if some miracle would occur.

“Alright Since Big Sis Mei says so, then I’ll temporarily keep it on Big Sis Mei’s behalf.”

I then “reluctantly” accepted the Academy Head’s [Transcendent Knowledge], and I would also have an ample reason to take action against this [Transcendent Knowledge] afterwards.

“Um, that’s for the best. After all, Xiao Han, currently your prestige among the Witch group even overshadows mine as the Academy Head. If someone seeking death wants to move against you, there is absolutely a large group of Transcendent Witches who will stand up for you...”

After finishing this paragraph, Mei Linde then sighed again and continued: “Sigh if you advance to Transcendent, Xiao Han, and in one stroke Transcendent entry into Saint Stage to become a Saint Stage Witch, I guarantee that if you say a word in the Witch Academy about wanting to become an Academy Head, the Witch Academy can immediately have one more new position for an Academy Head. So with my [Transcendent Knowledge] placed with you, I am at ease.”

“Look at what you’re saying, Big Sis Mei, it’s too exaggerated!”

I waved my hands hurriedly.

“I’m very serious. You don’t like socializing, Xiao Han, nor do you participate in any tea parties; perhaps you have never truly understood your influence. Your vision perhaps doesn’t need to stay at the perspective of a student anymore. You are already an Honorary Lesser Witch, and also a Witch recognized by the Witch race!”

The Academy Head said solemnly.

After saying this, the Academy Head’s expression relaxed, not intending to continue this topic, “Alright let’s not talk about this.”

“Um, then let’s not talk about it.”

I also nodded, “Then this visit can also be considered a bother...”

“Ah don’t be in such a hurry!”

The Academy Head reached out and pressed down on Big Sis Bai, who wanted to stand up and lead me away.

“Is there still something else?”

I inquired curiously.

“You really are good at forgetting things, Xiao Han since you took the initiative to come to the door this time, then inquire about the matter of the King of Ancient Glacial Ice while we’re at it.”

“Uh... if you ask the King of Ancient Glacial Ice directly, isn’t that the same as asking me? It is my Life Clone! I am fully aware of it.”

“That is true, but I personally still find the concept of a Life Clone somewhat incomprehensible. I still prefer to talk to you in person, Xiao Han; it seems more formal this way.”

“Alright what does Big Sis Mei want to ask? I know the King of Ancient Glacial Ice is currently perfecting the technique for preparing Hexagonal Crystal Amber with a large group of Witch sisters; there are no obstacles in the progress.”

“I naturally know about that matter. What I want to ask is also not about the Hexagonal Crystal Amber, but about that question of your trade with the World Consciousness. You want to return a brand-new life to the King of Ancient Glacial Ice. According to your statement, you shouldn’t have mastered this method yet, right?”

“Um, but wanting to figure it out through trying isn’t hard.”

I spoke very confidently.

After all, with my talent, techniques, and means for this matter, plus the safety net of the Main World’s Destiny interference, I simply couldn’t imagine how I could lose!

After all, the Main World Consciousness wished to receive the King of Ancient Glacial Ice more than I did.
