Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1376 - 709: Lin Ya’s Aura

The door opened, and Tang Ying was holding a wrinkled little baby.

The baby’s skin was fair, and he was closing his eyes, crying loudly.

Tang Ying hurriedly wrapped him in a swaddle that had been prepared earlier, saying while wrapping, ”Congratulations, Mr. Liang, Sister Yang Mei, it’s a boy.”

As she spoke, she finished wrapping the child and handed him to Liang Yuan.

Liang Yuan looked at this little life, crying loudly, making him feel a bit at a loss.

This is my child?

I’ve become a father?

He was momentarily unsure of what to do, and merely stretched out his hand to cautiously take the child, a smile unconsciously appearing on his face.

The child reached out, still crying vigorously.

Tang Ying smiled and said, ”Mr. Liang, after childbirth, it’s best to let the mother breastfeed; this is the best time.”

Liang Yuan promptly asked humbly, ”What should I do?”

”You don’t need to do anything, just give him to Sister Yang Mei.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan quickly brought the child to Yang Mei’s side.

Yang Mei was truly exhausted at this time, her forehead covered in sweat, with her hair wet and stuck to her smooth forehead, even her clothes were wet.

She weakly looked at the child in Liang Yuan’s hands, and couldn’t help but smile: ”Let me see Dudu.”

Liang Yuan quickly squatted down, carefully placing the child beside her.

Yang Mei turned her head to look at this fresh little life.

Seemingly sensing the familiar maternal presence, the child immediately stopped crying, babbling softly.

Yang Mei’s face was full of a loving smile of a new mother.

She looked at Liang Yuan and said, ”Just like you.”

Liang Yuan smiled and replied, ”The skin is like yours, very fair.”

Yang Mei beamed and said, ”The features are like yours, handsome.”

Liang Yuan watched the mother and child, his heart filled with infinite emotion.

He bent down and kissed Yang Mei’s forehead, saying, ”Thank you for your hard work, Sister Mei.”

Yang Mei shook her head, deeply moved, ”I’m very happy, not at all hard. With you here, with the child here, I feel like my life is complete.”

Everyone outside witnessing this scene showed a warm smile.

At this moment, Tang Ying reminded, ”Mr. Liang, remember to let the baby breastfeed from the mother; we’ll step out for now. If you need anything, feel free to call us.”

She then left the room with the other delivery nurses.

For a moment, only Liang Yuan, Yang Mei, and their child were left in the room.

Liang Yuan asked, ”Why did everyone leave? How do we start breastfeeding?”

Yang Mei chuckled, ”Alright, I’ll do it myself. Tang Ying already explained it to me.”

She lightly turned her body, unbuttoning her shirt to expose her fullness.

The little baby, Liang Hong, seemed instinctively to know how to nurse, leaning over on his own and starting to suckle.

For some reason, witnessing this scene, Liang Yuan felt a rush of emotion in his heart.

This is his child, his woman.

In the future, the ones he needs to protect won’t just be his loved ones, but also his children.

Liang Yuan silently vowed in his heart that no one would destroy his family!

Not even an ancient superpower user!

Yang Mei was very tired, halfway through feeding, she drifted off to sleep.

Liang Yuan gently took the full baby, dressing her in a coat.

Mother and child slept soundly on the warm bed.

Liang Yuan quietly left the room.

Outside the room, a large crowd was still gathered in the living room, not having left.

Seeing Liang Yuan come out, everyone stood up and gathered around.

Song Wen was the first to rush over, hastily asking, ”How’s Sister Mei? How’s the baby?”

”They’re both asleep.”

Liang Yuan smiled, then looked at Tang Ying, Yang Shenmin, and others, expressing his gratitude: ”Dr. Yang, Tang Ying, thank you.”

”Oh, don’t mention it.” Yang Shenmin laughed.

Tang Ying then appropriately added, ”Mr. Liang, giving birth for a woman is like going through the ghost gate, especially after the flood when many modern technologies have been lost, and conditions for cesarean sections and the like are inadequate.”

”Many medical instruments are missing, there aren’t enough doctors, all in all, Sister Yang Mei giving birth smoothly was very difficult.”

Liang Yuan quickly nodded, ”So I am even more grateful to you.”

Tang Ying smiled, ”I didn’t mean that, I meant that she also needs to go through postpartum confinement, and if not done properly, it could lead to health issues.”

”I’ll talk to you later about what to pay attention to.”

Liang Yuan nodded repeatedly; he really didn’t understand this aspect and truly needed to learn.

At this moment, Lin Ya walked over, ”Can I listen? I can cook, maybe I can help.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan was delighted, quickly saying, ”Miss Lin Ya, if you can help, that would be great.”

Tang Ying looked at Lin Ya, knowing she had been taking care of Yang Mei, immediately nodded, ”Postpartum confinement shouldn’t start with supplementation; there should be detoxification first, then supplementation.”

”Starting with too much supplementation can cause problems like milk swelling.”

”I’ll talk to you in detail later.”

Lin Ya quickly nodded, ”Alright, alright.”

At this moment, Granny Li laughed and asked, ”Liang Yuan, congratulations, also congrats to Yang Mei for giving birth to a boy.”

”Having a boy is great in these times, boys are better.”

”Girls suffer.”

Among the older generation, the preference for boys still exists.

Especially in post-apocalyptic times, men’s combat power is naturally greater than women’s, so having a boy is indeed easier to raise and more promising than having a girl.

Liang Yuan, however, laughed, ”Granny Li, even if it’s not a boy, I’d be happy. My child, whether boy or girl, can have a good life.”

Upon hearing these words, everyone laughed.

Granny Li also laughed heartily, ”That’s my clumsy talking; as an old party member, I shouldn’t say things like that.”

Liang Yuan laughed, ”In the future, let the child recognize you as their granny, teach them life’s principles.”

Granny Li instantly laughed, unable to close her mouth, repeatedly applauding.

Everyone stepped forward to congratulate Liang Yuan, who was beaming and thanked everyone one by one.

”Everyone, when the baby turns one hundred days old, I’ll invite you all to a meal.”

After some polite exchanges, Liang Yuan saw the guests off.

Now only family was left.

Oh, Lin Ya had been living here so long, she was practically half-family.

Even Yang Mei suggested to Liang Yuan last time that Lin Ya should temporarily stay at the house, to avoid the hassle of going back and forth.

It was precisely when Lin Ya went home last time that she was targeted by Leng Yuehua’s people.

Liang Yuan considered it, but he had promised Yang Mei and others not to bring anyone else home.

However, Lin Ya now needed to take care of the baby and Yang Mei, acting as a live-in nanny.

A live-in nanny should actually live in, right?

Especially since Tang Ying mentioned earlier that postpartum women shouldn’t even touch cold water.

Someone obviously needed to take specialized care of Yang Mei.

Song Wen, Dong Yan, and Ding Yan all had their own commitments and couldn’t make time.

Others couldn’t possibly be at home 24/7 to care for Yang Mei.

So looking around, Lin Ya was indeed the most suitable.

”It seems Lin Ya really needs to live here, we’ll have to partition another room in the house.”

Liang Yuan mused to himself.

”Brother Liang, have you thought of a name for the baby?”

Song Wen couldn’t help but ask. Liang Yuan smiled: ”Yes, I discussed it with Sister Mei. The baby’s full name will be Liang Hong, and his nickname will be Dudu.”

”Dudu?” Song Wen’s eyes lit up, delighted: ”What an adorable nickname.”

Beside him, Ding Yan was quite touched by the name Liang Hong, saying, ”Is it the Hong for flood?”

Liang Yuan nodded: ”Yes, he was born in the Flood World, so we named him with Hong, hoping he can adapt to this era.”

Ding Yan said, ”He definitely can; he has such a great dad and mom.”

Liang Yuan looked at her and laughed: ”Not just a great mom, he has you three wonderful moms.”

The three women were momentarily stunned, then burst into laughter.

Dong Yan exaggerated: ”Wow, at 20, I’m going to be a stepmom? Hahaha, the feeling is truly strange.”

Song Wen laughed: ”Why not? In ancient times, you’d be considered an old maid at 20.”

Dong Yan rolled her eyes: ”Come on, I’m just starting college at this age.”

Ding Yan gave a knowing smile and asked: ”Are you sure it’s just the three?”

Liang Yuan’s heart skipped a beat, and he touched his nose.

Ding Yan definitely knew that he had Zhuang Shuyuan as a lover outside.

Liang Yuan laughed it off: ”Don’t just envy Yang Mei, each of you might have a child someday.”

The women immediately laughed heartily.

The room was filled with a joyful atmosphere.

Lin Ya, however, seeing their family so joyful, couldn’t help but feel a little envious.

Whenever the night grew quiet and she returned from Liang Yuan’s home, there was a pervasive loneliness.

Even though her room had Shen Yunxi for company, Shen Yunxi was always busy with work in the research department and was hard to come by.

In this Flood World, with no internet or books, there were so few ways to escape loneliness and not many ways to entertain oneself.

From deep within her heart, she longed for someone to talk to and someone who could enter her inner world.

So at Liang Yuan’s place, she could feel their happiness, and she cherished this atmosphere, not wanting to leave at times and preferring to stay.

After some joking around with the women, Lin Ya glanced at the time and quietly went into the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Tang Ying, before leaving, had advised her on postpartum care tips and diet.

Ding Yan, Dong Yan, and Song Wen all took the day off, none of them went to work, enjoying the rare reunion.

In the afternoon, when Yang Mei woke up from a nap, she could hear laughter from outside.

Just then, the baby started crying loudly, grabbing the attention of Liang Yuan and the others outside.

Immediately, he and the women rushed in to check on the situation.

”Why is he crying?” Liang Yuan asked anxiously.

Yang Mei shook her head, a bit flustered: ”I don’t know.”

She was a new mom, with no experience in childcare.

Ding Yan quickly asked, ”Is he hungry?”

”Huh? I just fed him before I fell asleep,” Yang Mei replied.

Song Wen hastily said, ”I’ve heard some kids have quite an appetite; maybe it’s time to nurse again?”

On hearing this, Yang Mei hurriedly started to unbutton to nurse.

Dong Yan glanced enviously at Yang Mei’s voluptuousness, secretly wondering if she could go up a cup size once she had a baby.

It’s said that pregnancy generally adds a cup size.

This peculiar thought flashed by as Yang Mei had already unbuttoned, holding the baby ready to nurse.

But the baby was squirming, refusing to nurse.

”Sweet Dudu, what do you want? Are you hungry?” Yang Mei shook the baby, a bit at a loss.

At this moment, Lin Ya who heard the commotion walked in, and seeing the situation, couldn’t help but say, ”Let me take a look.”

Everyone immediately looked at Lin Ya, watching her take the baby in her arms, saying, ”Before Tang Ying the doctor left, she reminded me that newborns fuss for just a few reasons.”

”Either they’re hungry, or they’ve pooped.”

Saying this, she opened the small blanket and found, indeed, the baby had pooped.

Everyone burst into laughter helplessly.

Liang Yuan sighed, ”Caring for a child is truly an art.”

Lin Ya smiled, ”It’s just that we lack experience; experienced people can tell right away.”

Everyone watched her wipe the baby’s bottom, her radiating maternal glow rivaling that of Yang Mei.

It seemed Lin Ya naturally had a motherly aura.
