From Folly to Fortune：I Rewrite My Life After Rebirth!

”Shuangshuang, if you really want to start a dessert business or a tea shop, our restaurant is large enough to accommodate both!

Since that’s the case, you might as well sell the old restaurant now while it can fetch a good price!

Once you have that money, you can use it for other purposes! Or else, you can directly open a tea shop in the county.

You’ve been to the county, there are several times more people than in the town! And all those landlords there are willing to spend more than the ones in town, opening a dessert shop there might turn out to be more lucrative than in the town!”

Yu Dahai actively offered advice to Mu Shuangshuang.

Regarding restaurant business, he had been in it for quite a few years.

His suggestion was definitely worth considering!

After listening to him, Mu Shuangshuang pondered seriously.

With her current abilities, opening a dessert shop in the county wasn’t impossible.

Furthermore, setting up a shop in the county gave her a reason to keep an eye on Mu Dade.

”Brother Yu, what you say isn’t without reason! How about this, you help me gather information on those shopkeepers interested in buying our old restaurant! I’ll look over it, then decide who to sell the restaurant to!”

Mu Shuangshuang wasn’t someone who only looked at money and ignored people!

The old Chengfeng Restaurant, although small, took a lot of her effort.

Moreover, that place was chosen by her and Fengzi together; it held memories for both of them. If it really had to be sold, it needed to go to a good home!

”I’ve actually already inquired about those people! Anqing Restaurant is not a small restaurant in town, and their Manager Chen also has restaurants in other towns, reportedly doing quite well! So they are quite wealthy!

Next is Fugui Restaurant, a family that has run restaurants in town for generations, with a friendly shopkeeper!

Then there’s Ruyi Restaurant, also a local business, offering the most money.

However, their strength is weaker compared to the above two. I guess they’re hoping to profit big from our old restaurant’s location! The rest don’t stand a chance!”

”How much is the second restaurant offering?” Mu Shuangshuang asked.

”Three hundred and fifty taels! Anqing Restaurant is offering four hundred taels, while Ruyi Restaurant has put up four hundred and fifty,” Yu Dahai said.

Mu Shuangshuang was genuinely surprised at these numbers.

When she initially bought the restaurant, it cost over a hundred taels.

How long has it been since?

It increased threefold.

These three to four hundred taels could definitely secure a decent shop in the county for selling tea and pastries!

”Barring any surprises, I should sell the restaurant to Fugui Restaurant! But I still need to check it out!” Mu Shuangshuang said.

”Sure! But if you’re going to check it out, you should change your attire. All the waiters and shopkeepers in the nearby restaurants basically know you!” Yu Dahai suggested.

”Alright!”

After finishing their conversation, Mu Shuangshuang had lunch.

After the meal, Yu Dahai brought over the account books from the past few days to Mu Shuangshuang.

He couldn’t help but exclaim again, ”In the past, I thought our restaurant’s profit was considerable, but now after seeing the new restaurant’s profit, I realize how naïve I was!”

”Understandable! As the saying goes, ’Clothes make the man, Buddha relies on gold!’ Even restaurants need to be in grand locations, or else those ’big men’ won’t come!” Mu Shuangshuang said.

But since moving to a new place, those landlords who never used to come are now flocking over.

All the VIP cards she introduced were quickly snapped up by those landlords.

Although her old restaurant did well, mostly thanks to regulars.

The local wealthy rarely came, but now that her restaurant has upgraded, these local riches are coming faster than anyone.

”Either way, it’s good! The staff even say they’re more motivated to work now!” Yu Dahai said.

Mu Shuangshuang chuckled along.

Just then, the waiter Ah Cai came to open the door.

”Owner, there’s someone outside looking for you!”

”Who?” Mu Shuangshuang asked.

”They didn’t say, but it’s a young lady with a man who looks like a butler!” Ah Cai said.

”A young lady? With a butler?” Mu Shuangshuang tried to think, but couldn’t figure out who it was.

”Forget it, I’ll go down and take a look! Brother Yu, stay here and rest for a bit, have some tea!”

With that, Mu Shuangshuang followed Ah Cai downstairs.

In the restaurant lobby, seeing the lady and the butler that Ah Cai mentioned, Mu Shuangshuang finally knew who they were!

It was Mu Qingqing!

She was wearing a lake-blue, flowing sleeved fairy dress, her face adorned with just the right amount of makeup.

She wore a proud smile on her face; upon seeing Mu Shuangshuang, she immediately lifted her head upwards, her nostrils pointed directly at Mu Shuangshuang.

It was arguably the most fitting gesture of contempt.

Unfortunately, to Mu Shuangshuang, it looked childish.

”Housekeeper Liu!” Mu Shuangshuang ignored Mu Qingqing and greeted Housekeeper Liu directly.

”Miss Shuangshuang!” Housekeeper Liu nodded.

”Housekeeper Liu, I wonder why you’re here?” Mu Shuangshuang asked.

Mu Qingqing, seeing that Mu Shuangshuang ignored her and didn’t even acknowledge her presence, turned green with anger.

”Don’t mind her, Housekeeper Liu!” Mu Qingqing said.

”This...” Housekeeper Liu was troubled, he whispered to Mu Qingqing: ”Miss Qingqing, did you forget what Madam told us when we came? We’re here to invite Miss Shuangshuang to cook for your wedding. If we offend her...”

Housekeeper Liu’s words brought Mu Qingqing back to her senses a bit.

She put on a falsely gracious expression and smiled at Mu Shuangshuang: ”Sister Shuangshuang, I heard you changed restaurants and came to take a look.

Tsk tsk tsk, this restaurant is different now, back then I was embarrassed to say my cousin owned that tiny plot!”

”And now you can say it with pride?” Mu Shuangshuang smiled faintly and asked.

”Of course! My cousin now runs the number one restaurant in town. If I don’t help you promote it, who will?” Mu Qingqing shamelessly said.

To Mu Shuangshuang, Mu Qingqing’s feigned sincerity was completely uninteresting.

”Housekeeper Liu, you haven’t said why you’re here?” Mu Shuangshuang redirected her attention to Housekeeper Liu.

”Miss Shuangshuang, we’ve come to invite you to cook! Miss Qingqing is engaged to Sun Wei, the eldest grandson of Landlord Sun in town, on the third day of the third month.

According to our Madam’s wishes, both our Liu Family and the Sun Family will host a wedding banquet.

Madam said your culinary skills are renowned throughout town, so she’d like to invite you over. Don’t worry about the price, it’s negotiable! Madam insists, regardless of cost, that she must invite you!”

Housekeeper Liu said.

Mu Shuangshuang squinted, silently digesting the news in front of her.

So Mu Qingqing was getting married, and to Sun Wei, the eldest son of Landlord Sun!

And they wanted her to be the head chef?

This was truly interesting!

That Mu Qingqing, marrying without consulting her parents!

Money really is more important than her own father and mother!
