From Folly to Fortune：I Rewrite My Life After Rebirth!

”Can Little Zhi hold the little brother and sister?” Little Zhi suddenly asked.

Her big, watery eyes were filled with longing and expectation.

Looking at such a tiny pink bundle, she almost couldn’t resist.

Yuanbao and Xiao Han also wanted to hold the baby’s milk ball, but they were too shy to say it.

”Well...” Yu Si Niang looked troubled.

Little Zhi is just a child, and the two little ones are also children; what if she doesn’t hold them properly?

Seeing this, Mu Shuangshuang said to Little Zhi, ”Little Zhi, be good. Wait until the little brother and sister grow older to hold them! Right now, they are sleeping, and we can’t wake them up!

If they wake up and start crying, Aunt Xiao Hua will have to take care of the two little ones again. You wouldn’t want Aunt to hardly settle down for a rest, only to have to look after the brothers and sisters, right?”

Little Zhi nodded heavily, but her gaze still lingered on the two little ones.

”We’ll chat among ourselves, and the kids can just watch them!” Mu Dalang said.

”Shuangshuang, could you help give names to the two little ones? For now, we’ve only given them nicknames—the elder one is called Da Bao, and the younger one is Little Treasure!” Feng Xiaohua suddenly said.

After saying this, her face turned red with embarrassment.

Mu Shuangshuang thought for a while and said, ”Suihe, the little girl will be named Suihe! The little boy will be named Zhuang Cheng! Suihe, representing rice ears and seedlings, and Zhuang Cheng, meaning a bountiful harvest! Uncle Six, Aunt, do you like these names?”

”Suihe, Zhuang Cheng, Yu Suihe, Yu Zhuang Cheng! Wonderful names, wonderful names, Shuangshuang, you picked such excellent names!” Yu Liulang’s face was all smiles.

Not only him, but even Feng Xiaohua and the rest of Old Yu Family were beaming.

”Shuangshuang, these names are truly great. I’ve discussed it with Six Son before, and we wanted you to handle the naming! It’s certainly no worse than the names given by that old Scholar!”

After Yu Liulang praised Mu Shuangshuang, Feng Xiaohua wasn’t stingy with her praises either.

Mu Shuangshuang shyly touched her nose.

Thinking that, even though she’s considered illiterate in this era!

In her past life, she was still someone well-educated. During her time in the security team, dealing with household registrations, she had seen thousands of names.

So picking a couple of names wasn’t an issue!

”We’ve been here quite a while; could Xiao Hua be getting tired? Why don’t we head out first, let her rest, and visit again when she’s awake?” Yu Si Niang proposed, looking at Feng Xiaohua.

Just as Feng Xiaohua was about to refuse, Yu Liulang spoke up too.

”It’s getting late, and soon you will have to feed Da Bao and Er Bao. You’ll need to get up at night, so rest early!”

”But... I want to chat with everyone for a bit. Sitting during the confinement period is too torturous!” Feng Xiaohua implored, looking pathetically at Yu Liulang.

”Don’t worry, Aunt Xiao Hua. My mom will be staying around for a few days, you won’t have to worry about lacking company to chat with!” Mu Shuangshuang said with a gentle smile.

”And you?” Feng Xiaohua looked toward Mu Shuangshuang.

There were plenty of things Feng Xiaohua wanted to discuss with Mu Shuangshuang.

Although Yu Si Niang was her Fourth Sister, it somehow felt less comfortable than talking with Shuangshuang.

Additionally, there were little secrets she was only willing to share with Shuangshuang.

”Aunt Xiao Hua, I’ve been quite busy lately with the restaurant just opening, and I need to oversee things during the day. But I can come over in the evenings!”

Although Yu Family Village and Er Gui Village aren’t exactly close, having a horse cart makes it less of a hassle.

Still, the back-and-forth trips can be tiring.

Upon hearing Mu Shuangshuang say this, Feng Xiaohua quickly waved her hand, ”No, no, don’t! That’s too tiring! You’re busy with restaurant matters, don’t mind me, I was just casually saying!”

Feng Xiaohua was most afraid of causing trouble for Mu Shuangshuang.

She constantly remembered Shuangshuang’s kindness. If it weren’t for her, she wouldn’t have married the person she liked.

If it weren’t for her, she might never have become a mother.

Probably even end up being stepped on by Mrs. Li!

”Aunt Xiao Hua, don’t worry. I’ll certainly try my best. If it’s too tiring, then I won’t come. But if I have the time and energy, I’ll come by and check on you, Da Bao, and Er Bao.

Whatever you want to eat, you can tell me, and I’ll have the restaurant’s chef make it for you!”

As the topic turned to food, Yu Si Niang asked, ”Has the milk-increasing soup been prepared?”

Feng Xiaohua’s face instantly reddened.

Old Mrs. Yu, on the side, said, ”Yes, soybeans and pig trotters, carp fish, they’ve all been made, but no milk increase!

I was so anxious, but fortunately, these days Jin Yan from the village also gave birth and we’ve been squeezing milk from Jin Yan’s place to feed the little ones!”

A cloud of worry shrouded Old Mrs. Yu’s face.

Even though we can currently rely on others for milk, this certainly isn’t a permanent solution.

After all, she has two beloved grandkids, and even if others say nothing today, that doesn’t mean they won’t ever.

”Regarding increasing milk, I know of a folk remedy!” Mu Shuangshuang chimed in.

”What folk remedy?” Old Mrs. Yu’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”Pigeon soup, make a few nourishing soups during the confinement. It not only increases milk but is also beneficial for Aunt Xiao Hua’s health!” Mu Shuangshuang suggested.

”Pigeon... We don’t have pigeons here!” Yu Liulang added.

”I’ll ask Huang Da, who is in charge of purchasing ingredients for the restaurant. He might have seen pigeons somewhere!

But distant water can’t quench present thirst. I still think we should find other things to temporarily feed Da Bao and Er Bao!” Mu Shuangshuang advised.

As soon as she finished speaking, Old Mrs. Yu immediately asked, ”Other things? Rice paste or rice starch won’t provide much nutrition. If we feed these to the babies, aren’t we at risk of them lacking nourishment?”

”Grandma, I’m not talking about rice paste or starch! I’m suggesting cow’s milk or goat’s milk!” Mu Shuangshuang replied.

”Cow’s milk? Goat’s milk? Aren’t those meant for cows and goats? Besides, goat’s milk has that mutton smell; Da Bao and Er Bao might not want to drink it!” Old Mrs. Yu looked skeptical.

”Mom, goat’s milk can be drunk! Previously, when Shuangshuang’s cousin apprenticed in town, he was trimming sheep wool and squeezing goat’s milk!

He even brought back half a barrel of goat’s milk. Others said it had a mutton smell, but Shuangshuang boiled it with some almonds, and there was no smell at all!” Yu Si Niang explained.

”Really?” Old Mrs. Yu raised an eyebrow, looking at Yu Si Niang.

”Of course! However, these milk-producing sheep aren’t much easier to find than pigeons!” Yu Si Niang lamented.

”I know whose family has dairy goats!” Mu Shuangshuang exclaimed.

”Which family?” asked Yu Liulang beside her.

”At my cousin’s wife’s family. Initially, my cousin secretly gave three dairy goats to them. Based on what I know about them, they likely haven’t sold them!

If we go and buy one from them, we can feed Da Bao and Er Bao!” Mu Shuangshuang suggested.

”Shuangshuang, tell me where your cousin’s wife lives, and I’ll go buy it myself, bright and early!” Yu Liulang said excitedly.

”I’ll go with you! While we’re at it, we can bring my cousin and his wife over!” Mu Shuangshuang said.
