Chapter 1398: Chapter 34: Primordial Life

These four elders are evidently four ancestor-level powerhouses of the Taoist Hall.

”Lin Feng”!

...

”Heavenly Law”!

”Heavenly Principle”!

”Heavenly Domain”!

”Heaven Sect”!

...

”Pleased to meet you”!

After introducing each other, both parties cupped their fists.

Heavenly Law Ancestor said, ”May I ask where ’Taoist’ comes from?”

Lin Feng said, ”I come from a distant place, passing through here, and I heard there is a corpse of a primordial life in the Taoist Hall, which greatly shocked me, so I came to take a look. I wonder if I have such a fortune.”

Heavenly Principle Ancestor laughed, ”Taoist, you are too polite! If you wish to see the corpse of the primordial life, there is naturally no problem.”

”Hahaha...” Lin Feng laughed heartily, saying, ”Thank you to the four Taoists, as a token of gratitude, I have also prepared some gifts for the four of you”!

As he finished speaking, Lin Feng waved his hand, and four long rivers composed of top-grade spiritual stones flew out.

Each long river of top-grade spiritual stones was composed of ten million top-grade spiritual stones.

”Are these cultivation spirit stones?” The four ancestors were greatly surprised, their aged eyes looked at the four long rivers composed of top-grade spiritual stones, all showing a dazzling gleam.

These four ancestors are infinitely close to the God Realm.

However, even at their realm, they were extremely lacking in cultivation resources.

Now seeing those four long rivers composed of top-grade spiritual stones, they only felt their spirits stirring.

”A little token of esteem, not worth mentioning, please accept it, four Taoists!” Lin Feng said.

”Lin Taoist is truly too generous.” The four ancestors were all smiles, and they hurriedly accepted the four long rivers composed of top-grade spiritual stones.

”Lin Taoist, please come with us”!

After accepting the top-grade spiritual stones, the four ancestors jointly opened a Void Gate and entered it first.

Immediately following was Lin Feng, who also stepped into the Void Gate.

The next moment, Lin Feng found himself in a hall densely covered with prohibitions.

”Look, Taoist, there lies the corpse of the primordial life.” Heavenly Domain Ancestor pointed to the middle of the great hall.

Lin Feng looked over and discovered it was actually a stone statue.

However, the stone statue was quite peculiar, resembling a monk lying sideways on a rock, with the right hand propping up the head as if asleep.

”Is this? Stone Clan?” Lin Feng asked in confusion.

He had seen some Stone Clan members, and their strength was exceptionally formidable.

Those Stone Clan were all born after the world was created and were not primordial lives.

If it was inherently Stone Clan and still a primordial life, that would be unimaginably terrifying.

Among the primordial lives, Stone Clan’s primordial life must be one of the most powerful batches of primordial lives.

Heaven Sect Ancestor said, ”Not Stone Clan, but a Buddha, lying on a stone before dying, turning into a Stone Buddha after ages”!

”It is actually an Innate Buddha.” Lin Feng was greatly astonished.

Buddhism, unfathomable.

Even Lin Feng knew very little about Buddhism.

But the divine skills of Buddhism are quite peculiar, the Great Crossing Technique can transcend people into slaves, showing the power of this Buddhist divine skill.

Yet the most terrifying divine skills in Buddhism are not the Great Crossing Technique, but two other skills.

The Great Cause and Effect Skill, ranked third among the Three Thousand Great Dao.

The Great Destiny Skill, ranked second among the Three Thousand Great Dao.

...

In all things between heaven and earth, there is cause and effect, just like when a father is killed and the son seeks revenge, this is cause and effect.

The union of a man and a woman, giving birth to children, this is cause and effect.

Dedicated cultivation, improvement of cultivation, this is also cause and effect.

Being full and not hungry, waking up and not sleepy, this is still cause and effect.

And destiny is even more mysterious than cause and effect, everyone has their own destiny.

In the unknown, there is a heavenly decree, this is destiny.

A person’s birth, aging, sickness, and death, the blossoming and falling of flowers, these have all been predestined, this is so-called destiny.

Whether it is cause and effect or destiny, both are unimaginably powerful daos.

The Way of Destiny and the Way of Cause and Effect are the two supreme daos in Buddhism.

...

Lin Feng initially thought that the origin of Buddhism should be after Nuwa created all living beings in the Ten Thousand Realms over countless years, as the Heavenly Earth Great Dao gradually evolved, Buddhism arose at this time, but now it seems that is not the case.

Heavenly Law Ancestor said, ”The Ancient Buddha came first, then came the teachings, the history of Buddha is far more ancient than the history of Buddhism.”

Lin Feng nodded, this was also understandable.

Usually, doctrines form and then create the sect.

And Buddhist doctrines were gradually perfected over countless years.

Until later when a high monk founded Buddhism.

Heavenly Principle Ancestor said, ”Taoist Lin, have you ever heard of the Three Thousand Great Dao?”

Lin Feng nodded, saying, ”Naturally, I’ve heard of them, it is said that the Three Thousand Great Dao are evolved from the Heavenly Dao Rules.”

Heavenly Domain Ancestor said, ”Before the heavens and the earth were created, there was no heaven, no earth, but there were primordial lives, primordial lives were born before heaven and earth, reigning above the Heavenly Dao, and even this so-called Heavenly Dao was evolved from primordial lives.”

Lin Feng’s heart shook, if the Heavenly Dao was evolved from primordial lives, then how powerful were the primordial lives?

But thinking carefully, Heavenly Domain Ancestor’s words are not without reason.

Pangu created the heaven and earth.

Nuwa created all living beings.

...

Too many mythical legends tell of the fearsome power of primordial lives, it isn’t strange that the Heavenly Dao was evolved by them?

The Three Thousand Great Dao are rumored to be an evolution of the Heavenly Dao.

And since the Heavenly Dao was evolved by primordial lives, then many primordial lives might possess the Three Thousand Great Dao.

It’s just that up until now, the Three Thousand Great Dao have gradually been lost.

Lin Feng said, ”Why did these primordial lives go to war?”

”It can be said this is an eternal mystery, no one knows why those primordial lives went to war, Pangu, Nuwa, Fu Xi, Zhu Rong, Ancestor True Dragon, Ancestor Phoenix, Tai Shang, Guang Yuan... and so on, these formidable primordial lives all fell in that battle, after the battle of primordial lives, there were no more primordial lives in between heaven and earth.”

Heaven Sect Ancestor said.

Lin Feng stroked his chin, saying, ”It seems that something must have happened in ancient times, otherwise those primordial lives would not have fought against each other, but it seems these reasons are already unknown to later generations.”

Lin Feng’s gaze then turned to the Reclining Buddha and asked, ”Have the four Taoists discovered any mysteries on this Reclining Buddha?”

Elder Heavenly Law smiled slightly, saying, ”This requires Taoist Lin to comprehend on your own, we will not disturb you, please, Taoist Lin, continue your enlightenment here.”

Lin Feng nodded, saying, ”Please notify Yun Dieyi and Shen Yingxin outside waiting for me, and let both ladies leave on their own.”

”Rest assured Lin Taoist, we will certainly notify them...” The four ancestors nodded and then left.

In the great hall, only Lin Feng and the Reclining Buddha, which was transformed from this fallen primordial life, remained.
