Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

Capítulo 1366: Chapter 2: Precious Food

“Roar…” A deep growl came from behind, the Skeleton Giant Lizard moved swiftly, its powerful and robust hind legs enabling it to run incredibly fast.

Lin Feng ran wildly, wanting to use a Magical Treasure to attack the Skeleton Giant Lizard but ultimately failing.

In this world, Mana cannot be used, not even Divine Sense.

Lin Feng has turned from a powerful cultivator.

Into an ordinary person.

“What kind of ghost world is this?”

Lin Feng couldn’t help but curse under his breath.

He accelerated his pace.

But now Lin Feng was both tired and hungry, with no way to increase his speed.

The Skeleton Giant Lizard was gradually closing the distance between it and Lin Feng.

Lin Feng saw a low mountain peak, about three to four hundred meters high, ahead.

He quickly ran up it, lifted a giant rock from the peak, and threw it at the pursuing Skeleton Giant Lizard.

“Bang!”

This hit struck fiercely against the Skeleton Giant Lizard.

Yet the physical body of the Skeleton Giant Lizard was too strong, causing little harm to it.

This only angered the Skeleton Giant Lizard further.

With a powerful kick, the thick limbs of the Skeleton Giant Lizard launched its massive body into the air.

Directly leaping towards the top of the peak.

“You jump up, I jump down.”

Lin Feng quickly jumped off the peak and dashed away.

He fled the entire night.

By the time the sky gradually brightened, the Skeleton Giant Lizard let out uncontent growls, finally burrowing underground and disappearing.

The Skeleton Giant Lizard seemed to dislike appearing during the day.

Seeing the Skeleton Giant Lizard depart, Lin Feng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He felt like his body’s strength had been completely drained, lying on the ground, panting heavily.

Tired! Lin Feng had never felt so exhausted.

“The suppression of Mana in this world is too strong; I need to find a way to activate my Mana, otherwise, it becomes hard to move even a step.”

Lin Feng couldn’t help but sigh.

He tried to operate the Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique, but unfortunately, even in this world, it was difficult to exercise its power.

This made Lin Feng quite depressed.

“First, find some food and water…”

Lin Feng was now both thirsty and hungry, his whole body weak, needing food and water to replenish his strength.

He got up and walked into the forest.

But to Lin Feng’s disappointment, he couldn’t find any water source or any food to quell his hunger, not even wild fruit. The vegetation growing in the forest were all Cannibal Flowers, Poisonous Trees, and the like, requiring great caution, or one risked poisoning or attacks from Cannibal Flowers.

Lin Feng also found no trace of wild beasts, making it impossible to hunt one for food.

“How can this large forest have no birds or beasts? It’s really strange?” Lin Feng said, cluelessly.

He guessed that the birds and beasts might have been frightened away by the Skeleton Giant Lizard from yesterday and fled the area?

Or perhaps this world itself lacks birds and beasts, extremely rare.

Those frequent in the forest are often deadly poisonous, ferocious Yin Beasts, and Lin Feng tends to lean towards this latter speculation.

He walked for a long time but still couldn’t find food or water.

Exhausted, Lin Feng lay on a rock, resting.

……

By noon, a group of people came out carrying bamboo baskets, none of them older than seventeen or eighteen, and the younger ones only around eleven or twelve years old.

They cautiously surveyed the surroundings, seemingly searching for something.

“Brother, I found a piece of Fire Pattern Stone!” A boy, appearing to be eleven or twelve years old, found a stone amid a pile of rubble.

That stone was of dark brown color, with some fiery red spots.

The fiery red was a very low-grade mineral from which Fire Pattern Iron could be extracted.

Of course, extracting enough Fire Pattern Iron to forge a weapon would require a mountain of Fire Pattern Stone.

A seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy ran over, appearing quite excited, praised his younger brother a few times, then placed the Fire Pattern Stone into the bamboo basket.

“Sister, I’ve also found a piece of Fire Pattern Stone.” A thirteen or fourteen-year-old boy exclaimed joyfully.

He too found a fist-sized piece of Fire Pattern Stone among some rubble, quickly running to a sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl.

This boy was very handsome but due to long-term malnutrition, looked thin.

The boy’s sister seemed rather gentle, bearing six or seven similarities with the boy, her face pure and charming.

“Xiaoshen, good job!” The girl affectionately rubbed her younger brother’s head.

The girl was named Song Ying’er, seventeen years old this year, and the boy named Song Xiaoshen, thirteen years old.

Both siblings were mountain villagers from nearby.

At night, they hid in caves with other mountain people, and during the day, they came out to search for Fire Pattern Stone.

Because Fire Pattern Stone could be exchanged for food, although many times, searching for a day, the Fire Pattern Stone found might not even exchange for a piece of taro, but this was their only way to survive.

In this world, survival itself is difficult, and these boys and girls searching for Fire Pattern Stone were mostly orphans.

To survive, they can only rely on themselves.

Being able to live was the wish of many.

As for being full… many didn’t even dare to wish for it in their dreams.

This group continued searching for Fire Pattern Stone in the forest.

“Brother, I am hungry.” A boy of twelve or thirteen years looked at his elder brother.

Actually, his elder brother wasn’t very old either, appearing only fourteen or fifteen.

The elder brother carefully retrieved a fist-sized piece of taro from his bosom, broke off a small piece, and handed it to his younger brother.

The younger brother wolfed it down.

The ‘elder brother’ swallowed his saliva, not willing to eat, returning the remaining taro to his bosom.

In this world, food is life.

Unless unbearably hungry, it’s impossible to bear eating.

“Xiaoshen, you must be hungry too? You also eat a bite.” Ying’er similarly retrieved a taro wrapped in coarse cloth from her bosom.

The taro was already dried up.

She broke off a small piece and handed it to her younger brother.

“Sis…I’m not hungry at all, you eat it instead.” Xiaoshen was very sensible and cared very much for his sister, knowing that his sister hadn’t eaten anything for two days, persuading her.

“Sister isn’t hungry, hurry and eat.” Ying’er said smiling.

Xiaoshen held the taro, originally a single bite-sized piece, split it in half, and handed one half to his sister, saying, “Sister, we each have half.”

Although Ying’er was also very hungry, she wished her brother could eat all of it.

She tried her best to look after her brother.

“Sister isn’t hungry, hurry and eat up.” Ying’er said.

“If sister doesn’t eat, I won’t eat either.” Xiaoshen said.

Despite being young, he was very sensible, making Ying’er feel immensely gratified.

She took the taro Xiaoshen handed her and ate it.

Xiaoshen smiled, then wolfed down his small piece of taro.

Four hours later, they traveled several miles, but only found a dozen pieces of Fire Pattern Stone, not enough to exchange for a piece of taro, causing the siblings to sigh as the forest’s Fire Pattern Stone was already scarce, yet they dared not venture further for it.

This forest was only occasionally frequented by Yin Beasts, relatively safe.

But leaving this forest would likely encounter hunting Yin Beasts, leading to a miserable death.

The sky gradually darkened.

The siblings also prepared to return with everyone else.

At this point, Xiaoshen pointed to a stone in the distance and said, “Sis, look, isn’t there a person lying on that stone?”
