Chapter 607: Chapter 4 Heaven and Earth Ranking Ranking

After Qin Yao left, everyone went back to check the benefits provided by their respective sects.

For others, these sect benefits were incredibly precious, but for Lin Feng, they weren’t really anything special.

Out of all the sect benefits, Lin Feng was only interested in the Great Sun Clear Sky Sword Skill.

...

What truly interested Lin Feng was the Heaven and Earth Ranking. If he could make it onto the ranking, then he would be rewarded with top-grade spiritual stones.

Top-grade spiritual stones were exceedingly rare!

Yet Lin Feng needed top-grade spiritual stones to break through in his cultivation.

But obtaining top-grade spiritual stones was no easy feat.

”This Azure Cloud Sect is quite generous to reward top-grade spiritual stones,” murmured the Fire Kirin, smacking its lips.

”This is truly the magnanimity of a top-level force,” Lin Feng couldn’t help but sigh.

You see, top-grade spiritual stones are very difficult to mine.

Normally, a small mine might yield a few top-grade spiritual stones at best, and a large mine might produce only a couple hundred.

Thus, top-grade spiritual stones were extremely valuable.

To train disciples, the Azure Cloud Sect even offered top-grade spiritual stones as rewards.

The Azure Cloud Sect was truly making a bold investment.

...

Lin Feng took out the All Heaven Record and, after opening it, he saw the listed introductions:

Introduction to the Azure Cloud Sect.

Introduction to the Desert Domain forces.

Introduction to the Righteous Forces of the Seventy-two States in the North.

Introduction to the Evil Demon Forces of the Seventy-two States in the North.

Introduction to the Underworld.

Introduction to the East Sea neighboring the Seventy-two States in the North.

Introduction to Confucianism.

Introduction to Taoism.

...

Introduction to the Extraterrestrial World.

...

As Lin Feng perused the extensive catalog of introductions, he was quite amazed.

The All Heaven Record really contained a comprehensive account of many things.

Lin Feng then started reading intently.

Many of the contents broadened his horizons.

For instance, the All Heaven Record mentioned that in the extraterrestrial world, there existed powerful Star Beasts that could devour an entire life planet just by opening their huge maws.

And such Star Beasts lived by consuming planets.

Furthermore, there used to be an Immortal Island in the East Sea World where many Immortals lived.

Such wondrous tales were plentifully recorded in the All Heaven Record, as were several introductions to great forces, such as Buddhism. The All Heaven Record mentioned that Buddhism was located in the Western Region, where there was the Western Region Buddha Country, and the Little Leiyin Temple stood as a holy site of Buddhism.

However, the All Heaven Record sternly warned other cultivators to never venture into the territory of Western Region Buddhism. According to the All Heaven Record, once one entered the Buddha Country of the Western Region, no matter how strong their cultivation, they would willingly convert to Buddhism. This was considered to be extremely bizarre.

Lin Feng was astounded; he had not expected this mysterious Buddhism to be so strange that it could make cultivators willingly shave their heads and become monks.

Lin Feng also came across an introduction to Confucianism that recounted a story of a scholar who had never engaged in cultivation, but after diligently studying poetry and literature for eighty years, when the old scholar was on the brink of death, a divine thunder suddenly descended. With a great shout, the old scholar was enveloped in vast righteous qi, which shattered the divine thunder, and that old scholar directly ascended to Supreme Great Ability level strength.

”This is a bit far-fetched, isn’t it?” Lin Feng couldn’t help but say speechlessly as he read the story.

Clearly, the old scholar had shattered what was known in legends as the ”Heavenly Tribulation.”

And then he became a being of Supreme Great Ability.

But it still seemed like nonsense, no matter how you looked at it.

...

Of course, much of the content recorded within was very interesting, and Lin Feng had read many shocking things in the All Heaven Record, which could be said to have greatly broadened Lin Feng’s horizons.

Previously unheard of, certain events could be found introduced on the pages of the All Heaven Record.

In the days that followed, everyone became familiar with the Inner Academy of the Azure Cloud Sect, and many disciples even ventured to ”Great Tao Peak” to challenge and hope to earn a place on the Heaven and Earth Ranking.

Clearly, the rewards of the Heaven and Earth Ranking were too generous, tempting many new disciples to give it a try.

Lin Feng, Tian Zhongdao, and Old Drunkard set out together for Great Tao Peak.

They saw Great Tao Peak bustling with people, with many disciples entering to take on the challenges within.

The Old Drunkard said, ”It is said that Great Tao Peak is covered by arrays, within which there are all sorts of formidable War Spirits. Defeat a War Spirit, and you can score points; the more points you have, the higher your rank.”

Tian Zhongdao said, ”This, these, War, War Spirits, they must be, very, very terrifying, right?”

Lin Feng nodded and replied, ”It should be so.”

Soon, the three of them arrived at the foot of Great Tao Peak, at the base of which was a crystal screen over ten meters high. This crystal screen, etched with arrays, was constantly updating various data and displaying it.

”This is the Heaven and Earth Ranking.” Old Drunkard remarked.

Many people were gathered around the crystal screen to watch the Heaven and Earth Ranking, which listed eight hundred people.

Those who made it onto the Heaven and Earth Ranking were certainly formidable individuals.

The one ranked first was Long Jinyu, followed by Xue Wushuang in second, and Zhang Shihao in third... The top three had scores over three million each.

They were truly high above the rest.

The fourth place, Li Xiyu, had a score of one million seven hundred eighty thousand, a substantial gap from the top three.

”It seems these top three must be the strongest trio in the Inner Academy, and their position seems unshakeable.”

Lin Feng stroked his chin thoughtfully.

”Eh, Senior Sister Qin Yao is also highly ranked. She’s seventh on the Heaven and Earth Ranking, with a score of one million seven hundred fifty-thousand.”

Lin Feng was secretly astonished.

Qin Yao was approachable but possessed terrifying strength.

Lin Feng scanned further down the list.

Ranked eight hundredth was Liu Yu, with a score of thirteen thousand.

...

The method of earning points was by overcoming the War Spirits inside Great Tao Peak.

However, not all War Spirits were of the same strength.

Defeating an ordinary War Spirit only earned one point.

Defeating an intermediate War Spirit earned two points.

Defeating a high-level War Spirit earned three points.

Above War Spirits, there were War Kings.

Defeating an ordinary War King earned thirty points.

Defeating an intermediate War King earned sixty points.

Defeating a high-level War King earned ninety points.

Beyond that were the War Emperors; it was said that challenging a War Emperor was an exceedingly difficult task, and even those ranked at the top found it as hard as reaching heaven.

If one could defeat a War Emperor, they would earn five thousand points.

...

Continuously, many entered Great Tao Peak to take up the challenge, including old students from the Inner Academy and newcomers.

Lin Feng even saw Yang Jian, Shui Wentao, Shui Wenjie, Wu Ke, and others enter; these were all top-tier geniuses among the Outer Disciples.

”Ha, a bunch of self-important folks, are War Spirits that easy to defeat?”

Seeing these new disciples eagerly entering Great Tao Peak to challenge War Spirits, many of the veteran disciples sneered.

Aaaah...

Soon after, a scream rang out, and a figure was swept out and sent flying.

With a ”thud”, they landed on the ground, vomiting a mouthful of fresh blood.

Yang Jian!

Lin Feng was startled—wasn’t Yang Jian one of the top six during the minor competition? How could he be ejected from Great Tao Peak so soon?
