Tempest of the Stellar War

“Wang…. Zheng, I remember you. Seems like you made it into Ares College.”

Zhao Lingfeng exclaimed.

“Just a stroke of luck.” Wang Zheng was too embarrassed to say anything more. No one knew his family background, and Zhao Lingfeng was considerate enough not to expose his family matters in front of his classmates.

“Lingfeng, who are these people?” A slender, tall girl with a pony tail donning sports attire walked toward them. It wasn’t exaggeration when they said Beijing University was a lover’s paradise. Student Wang glanced at her a few more times.

Perhaps it was the workout that made her face turn a reddish glow which exuded a feeling of fitness.

“Qingqing, let me introduce you to Ye Zisu, belle of Dawn Middle School, now part of Ares College’s Mecha Department. And Wang Zheng is also Ares College’s….. Wang Zheng what’s is your specialization right now?”

Halfway through his speech, Zhao Lingfeng realised he didn’t really know Wang Zheng.

“Wang Zheng, I am from the Physics Department. Just an ordinary student.”

“Hi, I am Liu Qing. I am currently chasing Lingfeng, nice to meet all of you.” Liu Qing heartily offered her hand. “And who might this lovely little girl be?”

Zhao Lingfeng stood to one side. A sense of pride could be naturally sensed from him. It was needless to say how attractive he was to girls. No matter where he went, pretty girls would flock around him. He didn’t talk about Wang Zheng because he was too lazy to even discuss him, not because he acknowledged his presence. To a certain extent, Wang Zheng was not on his level, and belittling Wang Zheng would only lower his status.

“My name is Xiao Yin and I’m Wang Zheng’s distant cousin.”

She stepped back and held onto Wang Zheng’s arm, which made him unable to move.

Ye Zisu glanced and was mildly surprised. As a real fan of Lin Huiyin, Ye Zisu knew Lin Huiyin didn’t like to touch strangers, especially people of the opposite sex. Yet it seemed too natural and casual for Lin Huiyin.

“Hehe, Zisu, it has been a long time since we last met. Let’s have a meal together and have a good chat. I am Dawn’s alumni president. It has been a while since we met, and it would be nice to have a class gathering.”

Zhao Lingfeng stared gleamingly at Ye Zisu. Individuals who had stepped foot into a university were more or less equivalent to entering the true echelons of society. Ye Zisu’s identity and appearance had aroused the attention of numerous accomplished males to crave and to conquer her.

Meanwhile, Liu Qing was pondering in deep thought, “Hey, I think I have heard of this friend of yours from somewhere…”

Zhao Lingfeng peeked unnaturally at Liu Qing. With his looks, girls would only swarm over him, but instead Liu Qing had only been staring at Wang Zheng for a long while.

“When Wang Zheng was young and impulsive, he did a lot of shocking things at Dawn and has even been on Beijing’s newspaper. You have probably seen him there, which is why he seems familiar.”

Zhao Lingfeng said, as he looked at Liu Qing. On one hand, she was indeed attractive, and on the other hand, she could be used to improve his charm. If he was able to steal her heart, he would be able to attract more girls.

Ye Zisu frowned slightly, “Lingfeng, don’t talk about the past.”

Zhao Lingfeng shrugged and was confused. Why would Ye Zisu get mixed up with that bunch of unsavory people?

Liu Qing had definitely seen Wang Zheng’s name somewhere recently, but she couldn’t recall where she had seen it.

At one side, there was someone who hit a good shot, and thereupon Lin Huiyin clapped. “Cousin, I want to watch you play a game of baseball.”

Wang Zheng sweated because he and Yan Xiaosu often avoided this kind of stuff.

“I don’t know, I have never played baseball before.”

“Wang Zheng, it’s not me who’s trying to bring you down. But as graduates of Dawn and since you entered Ares College, we should not bring shame to Dawn. Let me give a demonstration instead.”

He grabbed the baseball bat, walked to the striking point, and proclaimed, “Your posture has to be like this, pay attention to your arms and wrists, turn your anger into power, and focus your attention on the incoming ball.”

Zhao Lingfeng made a few deliberate movements which were the most standard ones in the field. Zhao Lingfeng was known to be a sports tyrant in school because his genes were above average and he learned exceptionally fast. Not to mention he did all kinds of sports in his leisure time. As Yan Xiaosu once said, this guy was born to be a disaster.

The baseball bat swung forward. Zhao Lingfeng elegantly struck the ball and knocked it flying miles away at the right angle – a beautiful shot. Whereupon huge applause occurred and he made it seem like it was nothing special.

“Wang Zheng, it is your turn.” Zhao Lingfeng handed him the baseball bat.

Wang Zheng waved his hand, “I’m here to accompany you, I’m not going to play.”

“Cousin, you will not be able to chase a girl like this. I will support you, come on!”

Lin Huiyin was clearly more determined than Wang Zheng, and she gently pushed Wang Zheng. Unfortunately, he could only accept his fate and lightly picked up the baseball bat.

Zhao Lingfeng stood to one side and grinned modestly as he waited for Wang Zheng to make a fool of himself.

Wang Zheng had always felt that baseball was an overly easy sport. Although Lingfeng had hit the ball with his strongest strike, it looked like an amateur’s move to Wang Zheng. He felt lazy to participate, and he even felt that a haphazard strike on the ball from him would win cheers from the crowd.

Wang Zheng held onto the baseball bat and spontaneously reenacted the striking pose almost instinctively. Liu Qing, on the sideline, was shocked and even proclaimed that Wang Zheng was pretty good.

Peng….

A high speed ball instantly flew out from the automatic baseball pitching machine. To ordinary people’s eyes, it happened in a flash, but in the eyes of Wang Zheng, it was as though the ball was flying in slow motion.

Boom….

There was a loud sound like an explosion, and thereupon, the ball flew up toward the skies, far beyond the sight of any human being.

Wang Zheng’s heart skipped a beat. Granny’s leg! It seemed like he had used the wrong amount of strength. His mentality wasn’t quite right yet; it was as though he was flaunting his strength when he struck the ball.

Students cheered vehemently, “Damn, this is the first time I’ve seen such a ferocious strike!”

“This guy must be a professional player!”

“Out of 10 people who come to visit, there are 8 or 9 who only come to our school to flirt!”

“Girl, this is infuriating!”

Zhao Lingfeng was a little embarrassed, “Hehe, Wang Zheng’s luck is not bad.”

“Not bad, I guess. Just like I said, it was probably ‘beginner’s luck.’ It has to be like this.”

“Since luck is on your side today, why not play two more rounds and bring further glory to Dawn?” Zhao Lingfeng laughed.

Wang Zheng didn’t want to pick a fight with a nobody. However, Zhao Lingfeng didn’t know when to stop provoking him. Wang Zheng thought that Lingfeng was here to pick a fight because he had nothing better to do.

“Sure, a rare opportunity.”

Followed by three consecutive shots, Wang Zheng was no longer modest in using brute force to strike ball after ball, producing tremendous striking sounds which caused the field to be silent.

“Damn, he is definitely from a professional team!”

Ye Zisu and Lin Huiyin were not stingy with their applause. To Wang Zheng, unless it was an extremely complicated sport, sports like baseball would not pose a problem to him. Baseball only required hand eye coordination, so it was simply too easy for him.

Zhao Lingfeng felt ashamed and finally stopped pestering Wang Zheng.

“Sister Zisu, let’s go to the next place.”

Lin Huiying arrived as a guest, so naturally Wang Zheng and Zisu welcomed any of her requests.

“Zisu let’s gather during lunch break to discuss the class gathering.”

Zhao Lingfeng still did not want to let go of this opportunity.

“We’ll talk next time. Wang Zheng and I have something else to do, so we shall go first,” Ye Zisu said.

On the way there, Lin Huiyin was elated and playfully punched Ye Zisu and whispered into her ears, “Sister Zisu, I think you and Brother Wang Zheng are very compatible. Do you need my help to bring the both of you together?”

Ye Zisu turned red instantly, “We are friends, and we are not in the kind of relationship you thought us to be.”

“Is it? Back in my hometown, girls pursuing happiness need to be brave, and if you miss the opportunity, it will never present itself again.”

Lin Huiyin spoke like a young adult.

Under Lin Huiyin’s persuasion, they were on their way to the theme park. Indeed, girls her age would most likely love to visit the theme park. But it seemed like she was deliberately setting up an opportunity for Wang Zheng and Ye Zisu to be together.

In the near distance, hiding perfectly under the shadow of the trees, An Jili was confused that her highness was actually interested in this extremely childish theme park.

Lin Huiyin was too timid to ride the roller coaster, but she insisted for Wang Zheng and Ye Zisu to ride for her to see.

Lin Huiyin stood below with her eyes wide open. Although Wang Zheng was deemed to be “superb” by most people, he was not suitable for her cousin. Wang Zheng and Aina were both burdens to each other in their relationships. She knew her cousin’s personality very well. Aina might appear to be mature, but she was actually quite stubborn. But if Wang Zheng had a girlfriend, perhaps she would let him go.

“Oh, these few adults always make me worried.” Lin Huiyin shook her head helplessly.

Though Ye Zisu was from a military school, she was still intimidated by the high speed roller coaster. Girls would definitely try to be more delicate, especially in these situations.

Wang Zheng was tortured by Lin Huiyin’s roller coaster idea. He was dizzy by the tossing and turning of the roller coaster, but once he saw Ye Zisu so contented, it was all worth it. Since Ye Zisu had helped him several times and Wang Zheng had yet to show any sign of appreciation, he felt better if he could draw a smile from Ye Zisu from time to time.

When Wang Zheng and Ye Zisu finished the ride, they came down to find Lin Huiyin missing. She was replaced by a solemn woman.

“Nice to meet you two. Miss Lin is on her way back to attend to urgent tasks. To thank the both of you, she booked Xiang Fei Bin for dinner this evening. Once again, thanks for the hospitality, and in addition, here’s a small gift.”

She took out a rigid gift box after she spoke. Judging by its size, it should have been an album.

Retro albums had transformed into an appreciative art. It was the same reason as to why mechanical watches were so popular. Rumors had it that the nobility in the upper class society still did not appreciate new technologies like the Skylink.

The lengthened Lincoln electro-magnetic car had been waiting at the entrance of the theme park, and after Lin Huiyin got on, they would arrive at their destination in no time.

Xiang Fei Bin was one of the most famous restaurants in Beijing. The dinner was required to be scheduled one month in advance because it had five Michelin Stars. Even senior VIPs were also required to schedule one week prior to the dinner date. Since Wang student had been tortured by Lin Huiyin for the whole day, he had to eat to his heart’s content.

But he didn’t expect it to be such a high-class restaurant.

“Wang Zheng, Ye Zisu, Miss Lin has arranged everything. Please enjoy your dinner.”

The VIP area was situated at Beijing world trade center’s 88th floor with 360 degree rounded corners and a majestic view of the scenery. Of course, the most important aspect was the food, and no glutton would be able to refuse this place.

Ye Zisu was grateful for Lin Huiyin’s arrangement that allowed her to dine here several times. But it all seemed too good to be true.

If there was something to eat, Wang Zheng wouldn’t be courteous about it. The food here was good, and the amount of food Lin Huiyin ordered had caused Wang Zheng’s appetite to increase proportionately. Moreover, everyone who had come would never reject the food but focus on chewing instead. Ye Zisu was not a large eater, hence she spent most of her time watching Wang Zheng eat.

Wang Zheng’s surroundings were filled with elegant women and men who had nothing to say to him. With beautiful women at his sides and a classy atmosphere, he munched down his food a little too fiercely.

“I really envy your appetite.” Ye Zisu laughed. “Are you going for Dawn’s class gathering? Knowing more friends will help you in the long run.”

Wang Zheng waved his hand. “Forget it, that’s the elite classmates’ gathering, and it has nothing to do with me. Zhao Lingfeng was being polite and invited you. I don’t want to be thick-skinned and barge in to create more trouble.”

Ye Zisu sighed. “I know you look down on us.”

Wang Zheng was surprised. “What do you mean? I’m envious of you.”
