Tempest of the Stellar War

“These two must be elites from the military, or else they would not have been able to use such skills!”

“Who is it that could possibly be so free? Whoever he is, I think we should all meet him.”

A few girls were chattering away. Soon, the conversation topic shifted to whether Skeleton was a man or woman.

An Mei felt that Skeleton was most likely a woman. Skeleton was calm while fighting and was meticulous in executing fighting techniques. That was a sign that Skeleton was a female warrior.

Meanwhile, while Wang Zheng was having a good sleep, a sudden cold breeze caused him to sneeze a couple of times. In the dormitory, Chen Xiu and Yao Ailun were sleeping as soundly as night owls. Although the military regime in college had just started, they were both experts in their field. Otherwise, they could not have lasted this long.

In the beginning, the two of them led battles, but they were on losing streaks. Their logical and military prowess immediately vanished once they started fighting. It seemed that they were men of logic, unsuitable for battles.

While Wang Zheng was still snoring on his bed, the two men glanced at him. Rumor had it that Wang Zheng had fallen out of love. Ailun and Chen Xiu thought nothing of it… at this age, they were still single. Experiences in romance was a good thing, no matter the outcome.

Zhang Shan had yet to return. The crazy guy was still training at this hour. The fighting factor in his genes was triggered. In other words, he was on route to greater and greater improvement, and he would strive for it by all means.

The three military colleges’ exchange program had barely ended, and news of Masasi dropping out had attracted quite a lot of attention.

The elites that were the pride and joy of Ares College had mostly left. While Gu Te had been trying his best to keep them in the college, Masasi felt that college life was not all that suitable for him.

He attracted fame and admiration with his battle performances, but he was actually a low-key individual who preferred to be alone. Hence he had planned to leave without a sound. Ironically, his departure caused quite a lot of discussions around campus.

On his journey to the Moon through the lunar ladder, Masasi had with him only a simple backpack. Through the glass window of the space station, one could clearly see the planet Earth. For Masasi, his time on Earth was a memorable part of his life.

The Skylink sounded and Masasi accepted the call. A beautiful-looking girl with short hair appeared. She was in a silvery suit that was the same color as the surface of the moon.

“Why? Are you still feeling nostalgic?” Milo ridiculed.

Masasi grinned. “Planet Earth is indeed very beautiful.”

“Are you talking about the human culture on Earth? Did you became more sentimental after your trip to Earth? What about earthlings? How do you find their standards?”

“At best a C I would say. The average standard of an earthling is not high, but there are a few who are indeed capable. Lear, for example, is very strong.”

“Haha, an opponent worthy of your attention should be someone of high standards. It is always good for us to know our opponents well. Return quickly, everyone is here. When you see it, our gathering will show that we still have the highest standards.”

Milo smiled sweetly.

Suddenly, Wang Zheng came to Masasi’s mind. That guy… he was childish, yet there was something else about him that led to that miraculous battle.

“What happened? Did something happen?”

“I believe I might have found him,” Masasi said lightly.

Milo asked, “Are you certain?”

“Not yet, I am still investigating. The person I am talking about only has a gene score of 28 and good physical standards, but he does not possess Ability X.”

Masasi shrugged his shoulders.

“My intuition may not be accurate, but I am pretty sure that a person without Ability X will not be able to last that long in space. It should not be him.”

The two talked for a while longer. They both had good understanding about the forces of the solar system, including the elites of the younger generations of the various planets.

However, the image of Wang Zheng continued to float in Masasi’s mind. Wang Zheng had a beautiful record, but frankly speaking, Masasi was equally capable and might even be stronger than Wang Zheng. But none of these mattered. After his contact with Wang Zheng, Masasi still could still not paint an accurate picture of him.

When the space shuttle came to a halt, Masasi took a last look at Earth. There were some whom he would definitely have the fate to meet again.

To meet as his future opponents that is.

Wang Zheng was up early. He had completely recovered his strength and was back to his daily routine – classes and trainings. There was no notice from Aina, but Yan Xiaosu looked relieved as Wang Zheng looked like he was back to normal.

Student Yan was most concerned about getting a response from him. The thought of a reply would bring much joy to him and An Mei.

In the afternoon, the four of them ate lunch together. Zisu was there too. She was unsure about how she should have been feeling about Aina’s departure. She had long been expecting this outcome, but the thought of it actually happening made her a little disheartened.

Everyone in the dorm was gossipping. Instead of being happy that her love rival had left, Zisu was still mad at An Mei. At this point in time, Zisu should have quickly stepped up her game with Wang Zheng, even if Wang Zheng was still disheartened by his breakup. It was strange how Zisu was so fond of Wang Zheng. There was nothing really special about that guy, except that he was street smart and occasionally lucky.

From what Xiaosu knew, Zisu and Wang Zheng may have been school mates, but they were not personally close and had barely any private interactions.

Could it have been love at first sight?

Ye Zisu was not an impulsive girl. No matter who it was, for a girl to silently watch over a boy for four years definitely meant that he had a special place in her heart.

Her pride and self esteem stopped her from confessing after all this time. Ye Zisu often thought that if it was not for her fear of being ridiculed by Yue Jing, she might have already been together with Wang Zheng.

Ye Zisu suddenly paused her eating and asked, “Wang Zheng, Huiyin is about to arrive. Where are you planning to take her?”

For a moment, An Mei and Yan Xiaosu froze for a moment. “What did you say? Lin Huiyin??”

It was in the nature of girls to form cliques, even a group of four could be split into two smaller cliques. In the dormitory, Ye Zisu was closer to An Mei, while Meng Tian and Qing Qing were a pair.

“It was a mission that the school arranged. Wang Zheng and I are to be representatives of the college. The thing is, I am not sure what she likes.”

Wang Zheng slapped his head. “Oh, I forgot about it.”

The three of them looked at each other, Yan Xiaosu was enraged. If not to conceal the secret, he would have left in rage.

“Boss, Lin Huiyin, Lin Huiyin, ” Yan Xiaosu said, looking displeased.

Wang Zheng laughed. “An Mei, can you control him? He is acting so arrogantly now in front of us.”

Wang Zheng had a blank expression and then gave Yan Xiaosu a thumbs up. “Roger”.

Yan Xiaosu laughed gloriously like a pot of blossoming chrysanthemum flowers.

“It is difficult to serve big stars; we will have to adapt to them.”

Wang Zheng shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

“Same, I do not think this is going to be a good mission.”

“You two really don’t know how to appreciate this opportunity. If only I was the one assigned to this task. First, I’d get a hundred autographs from her and sell each at 10,000 dollars! You will be able to get a million bucks!”

Tyrant Su immediately looked for an opportunity for profit.

Yan Xiaosu brought joy wherever he went. This guy was also coming up with crazy ideas that surprised everyone.

At this point, in the distant planet of Aslan, the whole planet was preparing for the grand celebration of Aina’s return – the princess’s ritual of adulthood.

Without a doubt, the entire Milky Way was celebrating the festival dedicated for unwed youths. During the banquet, Her Royal Highness would lead the first toast. The topic of who would have the honor of becoming her partner was the biggest and most debated topic right now.

Amongst the Aslan Empire’s royal family of dignitaries, every unwed male from any important household was fighting for a chance to be on the list. A dance with the Princess on this special occasion would definitely leave her with a lasting impression, regardless of whether he would get the opportunity to be with Princess Aina in the future.

Although there was still some time before the celebration, the atmosphere was as lively as ever, even more so than that of Easter.

Kashawen looked over at the ever-so-calm princess Aina, brimming with happiness. She knew that Aina was capable of this; Aina understood the overall situation and was realistic, even more so than Huiyin.

Aslan needed a great queen, and Aina had to uphold the values and virtues of a queen, and that meant a great sacrifice for Aina.

“Aina, the royal family is already starting preparations. Tell us if you have any special requests; we will try our best to fulfill your wishes.”

Aina smiled. “It may be my adult ritual, but this festival is for everyone. My only wish is for everyone to be happy.”

“Silly girl, there may be many others celebrating this occasion as well, but of course, yours is the most important. You are one of a kind in the Milky Way.” Kashawen understood Aina well. Aina’s mother died during childbirth while the King was busy ruling over the empire, and she was the one who brought Aina up since she was a baby.

Aina maintained a faint smile. Kashawen understood that a young girl experiencing her first love would not return to reality immediately. “Aina, let me ask you a question… If you own a piece of property, you can sell it at $100,000 now, but if you wait three years, you can sell it at $1,000,000. Would you choose to sell it now or after three years?”

“Of course after three years.”

Kashawen smiled and nodded. She believed that Aina would understand. Three years later, she would not choose the same option. It may not matter to ordinary girls, but she was from a different world. She was the symbol of Aslan, and she could not afford to make any mistakes.

Aina blinked her eyes. She naturally understood what Kashawen was referring to. Kashawen was known as the Iron Fisted Prime Minister with a very direct style of governing, and he was very influential.

“Aunt, then let’s make the celebration grander. I want to enjoy this occasion with everyone.”

“Haha, don’t worry, the head of the Milky Way Union and the chief commander of the military will be there. Of course, there will be other important figures there, because to be present for your adult ritual shows respect and dignity for our Empire.”

Kashawen’s tone was filled with pride towards Aslan. These values were carved deep into the bones of every Aslan citizen.

It was this self-pride and self-reliance that led everyone to strive for greater progress and build a strong and proud country. Aslan was not only a great empire. Every citizen had the spirit of self-sacrifice, and this achieved an Aslan that was inviolable.

Kashawen believed in Aina. Ever since she arrived, Aina did not have any contact with the planet Earth. Moreover, Keshawen did not believe that there was a candidate worthy of Aina in that forsaken place.

After getting used to luxury, one might occasionally feel like smelling the dirt.
