Tempest of the Stellar War

In the VIP area, the audience was able to clearly feel the ground shaking violently. In fact, the meteorites in the skies could possibly be fatal!

Generally, in this situation, players who were inexperienced would have forgotten how to operate the mecha.

Two Wargod No. 1s charged at each other at full speed as meteorites crashed down onto the ground beside them. Both mecha performed high levels, dodging as the Wargod No. 1s lacked energy shields. Hence, any meteorites hitting them could prove to be fatal. Furthermore, the shaking ground was also an enormous test of balance.

Boom…

One of the meteorites impacted the ground nearby, causing a large plume of smoke to billow into the air. Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1 then jumped out of the smoke cloud and swung the alloy knife viciously downwards towards Magical Bird.

The ground beneath Magical Bird had collapsed and the mech had lost its balance due to the violent vibration.

The strike was fatal, and clearly, this chaotic environment did not seem to affect Skeleton.

However, Magical Bird’s Wargod No. 1 had lost its balance and fell. As a result, he used both his arms to support himself. Stuck in the situation, without any vision of Skeleton, he lashed out with his foot.

Boom..

His kick was sent towards Skeleton’s mech’s wrist. If the kick had landed as anticipated, the power of collision from both sides would have definitely been able to break the wrist. If not, at the very least it would send the alloy knife flying out of his grip.

But Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1’s fingers flashed inconceivably at this point, and the alloy knife was swapped into a reverse grip position! The knife continued to descend towards Magical Bird’s mech.

At that point in time, Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1’s mech’s fingers moved at a rapid speed, causing it to be absolutely dazzling.

Boom..

Both mecha’s armor collided and, utilizing the recoil, both of them jumped backwards at the same time. Skeleton’s alloy knife and Magical Bird’s legs were both still undamaged..

Boom…

The ground was filled with explosions, and both mecha somersaulted backwards to dodge the meteorite bombardment.

The audience was awestruck as they watched quietly. What in the world had just happened?

The real Magical Bird was sitting in the VVIP’s room, astonished. He originally thought that his opponent was just a rich second generation kid burning money for fame, but to his surprise, he turned out to be a highly skilled fighter. If he was to be replaced and was put in that situation in that kind of harsh environment, it would be pretty good if he could even perform at 30% of his usual performance.

One could not casually consider themselves to be a true expert. A true expert would be unaffected even in the face of harsh environments. In this case, the Wargod No. 1 only possessed a brittle mech armor, and the environment encountered would be more than capable of slaying over 90 percent of those so-called “true experts” if they were placed in a situation like this.

Young Deer and Bubbly Foam looked at each other. Young Deer looked like he had just drank a hundred cans of Redbull and was incredibly excited. “Did you see that? He is a highly skilled fighter! I am referring to Magical Bird. He is the definition of a dark horse. There are a lot of people who are able to pilot the Wargod No. 1, but only true experts like him are able to survive.”

Young Deer was feeling prideful.

As the two mecha were avoiding the meteorite strikes, at the lower left corner of the visual screen, a small video displayed the playback of the previous collision.

The moment when Magical Bird kicked Skeleton’s hand, instead of dropping the alloy knife, Skeleton instead used the force of the knockback to rotate the knife in a circular motion around the mech’s palm with his dexterous fingers. After eight rotations, he managed to mitigate the force entirely and grasped the knife in a reverse grip in preparation for a follow up strike.

Though Magical Bird’s kick seemed to have been done in a moment of desperation, at that instance, his leg then swept downwards instead of continuing to lash out, knocking the alloy knife out of Skeleton’s grip. Even up till that point, no one had landed a decisive strike on each other.

After exerting so much energy to create that most brutal kick, surprisingly, Magical Bird still had the energy and control to modify the movement of his kick into a leg sweep.

In one attack, both of them had made at least three predictions of the opponent’s next move and had even made at least three minor movements in their mecha in anticipation of the next attack.

Bubbly Foam mimicked Skeleton’s actions subconsciously, but her fingers got tangled up in no time. Even if it was done on an impulse, needless to say, to do the same thing on a mech would be a tall order.

Wang Zheng was excited because this opponent was the strongest he had ever faced. The opponent’s identity was unimportant.

Be it his ability to adapt, or his basic skills, he was ferocious. Furthermore, the opponent clearly did not lack battle experience, and in this aspect, the opponent definitely surpassed him!

This was what he wanted!

After the bombardment of meteorites, the terrain became even more complex. There was a plethora of uneven grounds, ravines, and gullies of different depths and lengths. In fact, even gouts of fire would burst out of the ground every so often.

Skeleton and Magical Bird’s mecha were less than 30 meters apart from each other. They stood silently for less than half a second and then laser guns were fired simultaneously.

They made exactly the same decision…

Boom….

When the laser guns were fired, both Wargod No. 1s dodged at the same time.

30 seconds passed with constant laser attacks and dodges being executed by both sides. Everyone knew how devastating Skeleton’s laser attacks could be; they were so accurate that they almost could not be dodged. But his opponent, Magical Bird, did not seem to be fazed by it.

Among the professionals, Magical Bird was known to be a sniper.

However, firing lasers at melee range was a completely different task compared to long distance laser sniping. If a highly skilled fighter, like Magical Bird, could perform like this, he did not simply lie in the realm of a Diamond rank. In fact, he would most certainly be that of the King rank! He could be acclaimed as a God!

This person….. was clearly not Magical Bird?!

A lot of people were doubtful and uncertain of his true identity, but clearly this was not important anymore.

Both mecha had been maintaining a distance of 30 meters apart from one another, and they were constantly making a wide array of high level dodging movements within a five meter radius.

Close range laser attacks were undoubtedly exciting and dangerous. Not only did one have to attack, he had to dodge as well. Switching up the frequency and rhythm of attacks was necessary to disrupt the opponent’s predictions.

These movements could not be done by most people, and the problem was, these two pilots still had to pay attention to the environment!

In this vile environment, even a wrong step could be fatal! Let alone focusing on switching up the rhythm and pacing of their attacks!

On the contrary, while the two of them were concentrating on retaliating, their mecha seemed like they were merely walking on flat ground.

Unwittingly, both mecha approached one another gradually and the frequency of lasers fired were getting lower as every shot was fired more cautiously. This was mainly because of the lack of stability of the mech on the hazardous terrain. At this point, whoever shot first would lose the upper hand and thereby lose the ability to threaten the opponent. Hence, every shot had to be fatal.

Lear laughed. Could the opponent really think he was that good? His warm up was finally completed; it was time to end this.

“Bo… Boss, breaking a million viewers….”

The staff stammered while looking at the screen number. The number of VIPs broke a million. It was a new record.

Within a short period of five minutes, a large amount of viewers had joined, and people were in admiration of Solon. The new simulation system was indeed a huge gimmick, and in such a short time, it had managed to attract so much attention.

Most unexpectedly, the vile environment had no effect against these two contenders.

When the distance between the two mecha was around 10 meters, Magical Bird’s movements changed instantly.

A ‘hum’ sound was produced by the mech. At this point, it seemed as though gravity had lost its effect on Magical Bird’s Wargod No. 1 as he quickly traversed the distance between them in less than 0.2 seconds. It had to be noted that the two had used less than 0.5 seconds to fight in this confrontation.

This moment of ascension was fatal.

Magical Bird had managed to gain the upper hand in this game of rhythm, and at this point, his laser gun radiated resplendently.

Boom boom boom boom….

In an instant, five intense shots were blasted. A huge, glowing X could be seen shooting towards Skeleton.

Everyone was shocked. Just who was this freak???

Yasopp’s X Melee Killing Move!

A perfect aperture!

Within 1.5 seconds, a continuous burst of lasers were fired with the laser gun at the center of it. If the distance was less than 0.5 meters, it would be a deadly melee technique!

It was definitely impossible to dodge the attack!

Young Deer jumped up excitedly. “Wahahahaha, Skeleton, you are surely going to lose this round!”

Yasopp’s X Melee Killing Move was not merely firing five laser shots in an X shape. Many people were able to mimic the X form of attack, but the crucial elements lay in the shooting time, angle, and distance. Each of these three elements had very strict requirements and thus this move had the highest form of melee and marksmanship requirements in order to achieve absolute lethality.

After so many years on Earth, it was the first time it appeared on CT!

Once this particular move was revealed, in the vicinity of Earth, it was definitely invincible! However strong you were, there would always be someone stronger!

Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1 did not budge as the real X Melee Killing Move could not be dodged and it had reached its limit. The executor of the move would definitely be pushed to their limits, while the defender of the move would conversely be pushed to the limits of despair.

But Wang Zheng did not feel despair.

Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1 fiercely leaped off the ground as the engine roared. It was a forceful controlling of the mech!

But it was still to no avail. No matter how he much he pushed the mech, he was still unable to dodge the attack.

Everyone was holding their breaths in the Skeleton Corps. Rainbow was about to suffocate after holding his breath for such a long time.

Rainbow tightly clenched his fist. This bastard was clearly a highly skilled fighter from the army. If anyone was able to mimic Yasopp’s X Melee Killing Move, he or she would definitely be promoted to be an ace in the army!

It seemed easy, but truthfully it was difficult to master.

Who was this fellow!?!

After the execution of the fatal move, one should savor the defeat of his opponent.

Boom…

A laser shot was fired at the Wargod No. 1’s left leg, causing it to explode. Fortunately, the alloy knife was able to block the other shot. However, it caused the alloy knife to fly out of his grip.

This was compounded by the fact that Skeleton was unable to grip his alloy knife after the forceful control of his mech.

He was finished!

Although Rainbow and the rest seemed to be waiting patiently, their hearts were turning icy-cold. Both of them were almost equally matched. Hence they could not afford to lose their legs and alloy knives even if they had to forgo their arms. Skeleton was utterly finished this time.

The majority of the people closed their eyes. Although there had only been eleven games, by now, it was as though people’s dreams were becoming a reality.

However, dreams couldn’t last forever. It was just that everyone hoped that it would not have ended so quickly!

Solon went pale. He thought he had everything under control, including winning the gamble earlier on. But little did he know that there would be such a formidable opponent. He had served for many years, yet none as impressive as this one had appeared!

That bastard’s Yasopp X Melee Killing Move!

The mechanical leg was flying tragically in mid air as the sparks splashed across the battlefield. The whole situation was very similar to his career and dreams, flying away.

Although the alloy knife blocked a fatal laser shot, it looked as though the result had still managed to sway Skeleton’s mental state.

Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1 seemed to have lost its soul and fell to its knees.

However, at this point, Lear had a bad premonition for what was going to happen. He was getting goosebumps and his hairs stood on end. This feeling had only occurred twice in his lifetime. Alas, this was the second time!

Not Good!

As the one-legged mech fell to its knee, it then sprang forward like a spring that was being compressed and released in an instant.

Ceng…

Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1’s engine roared and the armor creaked noisily… Was this manual control???

A laser gun was brandished!

Yes, the laser gun was still available, meaning there was one more chance for Skeleton to attack. There was hope because Skeleton’s marksmanship was strong as well!

But instead, a meteorite landed in front of the two mecha, blocking their paths forward.

Lear quickly made a decision as he had never ignored his hunches. This was definitely right.

However, just as Lear moved, Skeleton’s Wargod No. 1 fired.

Yet this attack was not aimed!

Everyone was feeling desperate. The match was like an reenactment of the previous fight, Skeleton vs Qiangsen, where he made full use of the environment.

In the previous match, Skeleton was the one who initiated the attack. But in this round, Magical Bird forced Skeleton into a defensive position.

In such a thrilling situation, this warrior’s heart remained calm and collected, just like the relationship of snow and ice.
