Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1148: Looks like Blood is happening way too often these days...

That night—well, not exactly night, but something close to it—felt like night to Aether, even though the sky above was a dull, oppressive shade of grey.

Anyway, before Nyx could make her way back home, Aether and Nightfire jogged their way to the house.

Of course, Aether couldn’t avoid bumping into trouble—he ended up getting hit by a woman... and even by some guy. Nightfire, though, was quick to step in, her eyes flashing with irritation as she made sure to scare both of them off without a second thought.

After that, Nightfire headed back to her own house. Her shift was done, and she had no reason to stay longer.

Later, when Nyx finally returned home, her appearance was eerily perfect. Her clothes were clean, her long braided hair still neatly tied, and there wasn’t even a single speck of dirt on her—like she hadn’t just been out digging a grave with her bare hands.

She spotted Aether lying lazily on the couch on the living room side. He looked half-asleep, motionless, eyes closed. Nyx stared at him for a long second, expression unreadable, before calling out to him in a calm voice,

”Aether... it’s time.”

His eyelids fluttered open slowly, as if waking from a heavy dream. He saw her standing there, her figure quiet and composed. He didn’t ask what she meant—he didn’t need to. The tone in her voice already told him everything.

Aether let out a quiet sigh and rose from the couch, following her into their room. And just like before... they had sex. No passion, no warmth. Just skin against skin, moving with empty rhythm. Lifeless. Nyx turned to the side afterwards and fell asleep almost immediately, her breathing soft and steady.

Aether lay beside her, staring at her back in the dim light. He watched her for a long moment before finally closing his eyes.

But deep into the night, he woke up suddenly.

There was a chill in the air—unnatural and biting. Aether opened his eyes, blinking against the cold. His hand instinctively reached to his side, but the bed was empty.

Nyx was gone. The space where she had been sleeping was already cold, like she had left a while ago.

Frowning, Aether sat up and looked toward the window. And that’s when he saw it.

The sky—once gray—was now a deep, red, casting a strange glow across everything. The colour seeped through the glass like blood, painting the room in ominous shades.

Aether’s frown deepened, but he didn’t move. He simply lay back down, pulling the blanket higher over his chest, staring at the ceiling with heavy thoughts churning inside.

The next day came and went like a dull routine. Nothing seemed different. Nyx didn’t say much during breakfast—then again, neither did he.

And just like always, she excused herself and left without offering any explanation.

”Again?”

Nightfire groaned, her face twisting in frustration as she watched Aether getting ready to follow Nyx again.

Sure enough, Nyx had already relocated to another grave. And once again, she had started digging, her bare hands methodical, her expression happy and wicked.

Aether and Nightfire stood a little distance away, watching her from behind the trees.

”If you really want to know what she’s doing, then just ask her already!”

Nightfire snapped, arms folded tightly across her chest.

”Why are you standing around watching this like some stalker? What’s the point of all this?”

Her voice dripped with annoyance. She had been hoping he would spend more time with her... maybe flirt, maybe even touch her again. But instead, he was busy chasing a woman who never even gave him a proper glance.

Why the hell was he ignoring her?

Why would he waste time on someone like Nyx and not her—someone who actually wanted him?

Nightfire’s fists clenched at her sides.

’One day he’s going to realise what I really mean to him... and then it’ll be too late!’

Nightfire thought with a burning scowl.

Aether gave a low hum at Nightfire’s comment. Of course, he wanted to ask Nyx directly. He wasn’t stupid. But something told him... she wouldn’t tell him.

’Maybe... I should try a different approach. Maybe... words could work.’

He turned to glance at Nightfire, her irritated face now slightly pouting.

”Why don’t you stay at our house?” Aether asked suddenly.

Nightfire blinked, stunned for a second. Then she shouted,

”Hell no!”

Her voice echoed, sharp and instant.

There was no way in hell she would stay there. That cursed place was crawling with ghosts. And whenever she walked through the graveyard to get inside, it felt like thousands of eyes were on her. The air itself felt haunted.

”I’d rather fucking die than stay in that shitty house!”

She snapped with a serious tone, folding her arms with defiance.

Aether stared at her silently for a few seconds. His eyes narrowed just a bit. Nightfire immediately felt a strange chill crawl up her spine. That look on his face... he was planning something. Something bad. Something she wouldn’t like.

”Nope! No! Don’t you dare!”

She yelped, backing away.

But she didn’t get far.

Within seconds, Aether caught her easily from behind.

”L-Let me go, you damn pervert! I’m not doing this shit again!”

She screamed, thrashing in his grip.

All those past memories came flooding back—the cute little dog that turned into a monster, the twisted games it played with them. She didn’t want to relive anything like that.

No way!

Aether chuckled darkly.

”Don’t worry. I’ll protect you~” he whispered smoothly as he gave her butt a light slap.

Nightfire flinched, her face heating up. She turned to glare at him, cheeks red.

”Fine! Let’s make a deal. I’ll stay,” she huffed, lips curling in a sly grin, ”but you gotta give me something in return.”

Aether smirked and nodded.

”Of course. You can suck my cock.”

Nightfire froze.

Her eyes went wide like saucers, mouth slightly agape.

”R-Really?” she whispered, voice shaking slightly.

Aether leaned forward, kissing her forehead gently.

”Our bodies are already used to each other’s scent, so I won’t go insane. And besides,” he added with a faint grin, ”I already fucked a Succubus Queen. I think I’ll manage just fine.”

Hearing that last word made Nightfire’s blood boil. Her eyes twitched, and without warning, she leapt onto him, gritting her teeth hard as her mouth clamped down on his head in pure fury.

”Did her pussy feel good, you bastard?!!”

CHOMP!!

She sank her teeth in with raw frustration, growling as she continued her tantrum like a furious cat attacking its prey.

She didn’t even know why she was this mad. He had been with other women before—she’d seen it, she knew it—but the moment he mentioned another succubus, something inside her snapped.

Her jealousy twisted into real, dangerous rage.

Why did it piss her off so much?

Why her?

It wasn’t just anger—it was murderous intent.

Soon after, they returned home, but this time, things were different. Aether grabbed Nightfire by the arm and pulled her into their room. Without a word, he opened the cupboard and gently shoved her inside.

”Stay here... and wake me up if you notice anything strange.”

Nightfire blinked, a little stunned by the sudden command. She nodded slowly, still annoyed, but curious enough to obey for now. She peeked through the narrow gap as the cupboard door remained slightly ajar.

What she saw next made her eyes widen.

Nyx walked in.

Without a single word, Nyx approached Aether and pushed him down onto the bed. Nightfire froze, her breath caught in her throat.

’A-Are they really going to do it...?’

Was this some sort of twisted revenge? Was he doing this just to piss her off?

Her breath trembled, and without realizing it, her fingers crept lower between her thighs, hovering just above her slit. She was about to give herself a teasing rub to ease the tension when—

”.....”

Nightfire stared in confusion.

Nyx was on top of him, yes—but there was no passion. No moaning, no heat. She was riding Aether’s shaft with the dullest, most lifeless expression Nightfire had ever seen.

Not a trace of excitement. Just... blunt fucking, like she was performing some boring chore.

Nyx blinked and looked down at her own body—her slits weren’t even aroused.

Nothing.

’What the heck am I even watching...?’

Nightfire sighed heavily, pulling her hand away, frustrated and very much unturned-on.

After what felt like almost an hour, Aether finally climaxed, and the two of them collapsed into sleep. No kiss. No emotion.

Just silence.

”....”

Nightfire shook her head inside the cupboard. It felt like she had just watched the most depressing porn ever made.

She continued watching with a deadpan expression, but then suddenly tensed.

Nyx’s eyes opened.

Wide.

Unnaturally wide.

Her movements were slow, almost ghost-like as she shifted carefully. Nightfire watched closely as Nyx reached out, pulling something from under the bed. A tiny pouch. She opened it and gently blew a strange powder onto Aether’s face.

He didn’t even twitch.

Nyx sat up, slowly got out of bed, and slipped out the door like a shadow.

Nightfire blinked, jaw tightening with confusion. She hesitated a second before pushing open the cupboard door and stepping out quietly.

”Aether?”

She walked over and tried shaking him.

”Oi, wake up!”

But it was no use. He was completely unconscious—his breathing soft, but no sign of awareness. She frowned, glancing down at him. Her eyes slowly lowered to the noticeable bulge under his pants.

She gulped.

Then grinned.

”I know a way to wake you up~”

Her tongue slid across her lips as her fingers moved to his waistband, ready to pull it down—

Sssshhh~

A cold breeze swept through the room.

Nightfire flinched hard. Her eyes darted to the window.

The sky outside had changed again—turning slowly into that haunting red.

”Fuck... Ashara, take over!”

She growled, her body shimmering as it began to shrink. Her form twisted and glowed for a brief second before transforming into a cute girl with soft features—Ashara.

Ashara blinked as she took over, now sitting by Aether’s side. She looked up at the crimson sky, then at Aether’s unconscious face.

”Looks like Blood is happening way too often these days...”

She muttered with a concerned sigh before leaning in close, gently tapping his cheek to wake him.

But then—

’How about sucking his cock?’

Nightfire’s voice echoed inside Ashara’s mind with teasing mischief.

Ashara’s expression immediately went flat and deadpan.

”Please don’t.”

She shook her head, utterly done with her other self’s nonsense.
