Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1136 1136: Aether got Divorce? [Bonus]

Inside the house, it almost felt like stepping into a completely different world—so unlike the eerie, weird exterior.

The moment Aether stepped past the door, he blinked in disbelief. The House more like a Mansion... the mansionʼs interior... was breathtaking.

Tall ceilings stretched upward, laced with ancient wooden beams carved with floral designs. Velvet curtains draped elegantly along tall, arched windows that let in the soft, golden glow of twilight. Ornate chandeliers hung from above, casting warm light across polished marble floors and antique furniture that looked freshly cleaned.

Not a speck of dust in sight.

Aetherʼs mouth parted slightly in awe. Honestly, he had expected cobwebs, broken furniture, and the constant sound of creaking wood. But this... this place was clean, beautiful, and strangely inviting.

”Wow... this place is like a royal suite,”

He slowly followed Nyx, his footsteps echoing faintly through the corridor as his eyes drank in every detail—the way the warm lamplight bounced off her long hair, the soft sway of her hips as she walked just ahead of him, silent and graceful like a shadowed queen.

What was she going to do?

Was this really... the first night?

Just like that?

No slow buildup? No hesitation?

In his previous life, he had heard about arranged marriages. Back then, heʼd scoffed at the idea.

It seemed strange—two strangers thrown together, expected to live and sleep together like it was natural.

He had thought it was old-fashioned, rigid, and awkward. Weird.

And yet... here he was.

Weirdly enough, he was feeling... something. A slight thrum of anticipation pulsed through his chest.

Nervousness? Yes. But also... excitement. And warmth. And a strange, quiet flutter in his stomach.

ʼSo thatʼs how an arranged marriage feels like, huh?ʼ

A small smile tugged at his lips as he walked behind Nyx.

These days, he was starting to experience all kinds of feelings. Confused, delicate, naughty, dangerous stirring emotions... like the bloom of something new inside him.

ʼWhat the hellʼs happening to me?ʼ

The hallway stretched long and silent. Only the soft rustle of her steps echoed in the quiet. The silence between them grew heavier with each passing second. It felt almost suffocating.

So, with a nervous chuckle and a need to cut through the awkward air, Aether finally decided to speak.

”Um... this house is really big... bigger than I expected.”

Nyx gave a soft hum in response.

”Hmm...”

But she didnʼt say anything else.

Aether frowned slightly at her lack of response. The silence pressed on him harder, so he added with a bit more energy in his voice,

”Do servants work here? This place is spotless. Everythingʼs so clean and organized...”

He ran his fingers along the smooth surface of the wall, half-expecting some dust. But there was none. Nothing. As if the place had been preserved in time.

”I havenʼt seen a single soul since we entered—”

But just as the words left his lips, his expression stiffened.

His mind caught up with what his tongue had almost spoken.

His eyes widened as a thought dawned upon him.

”Donʼt tell me... here too, are they—”

Before he could finish, Nyx chuckled lightly and interrupted him.

”Haha... no. I wonʼt allow them here.”

Her voice was calm, but carried a strange firmness. She glanced over her shoulder, her purple-blue eyes glinting in the golden light.

”This place... is only for living.”

They stopped walking in front of a large, ornate door.

Nyx turned to him, placing her delicate hand on the door handle.

”From here on... this is our room.”

She opened the door slowly, the hinges creaking faintly—but not ominously.

Inside, Aetherʼs eyes widened.

The room was massive, but soft and warm. In the centre was a large, snowy white bed—so puffy it looked like one could sink right into it and disappear. Around the room stood tall cupboards, elegant shelves lined with strange vases and glowing stones, and a huge mirror with a gilded frame. The walls were a creamy ivory, lit softly by wall lamps that flickered like candlelight.

And then... his eyes caught something odd.

A smaller bed, placed gently near the corner. White. Frilled edges.

Aether blinked, stunned.

”...Baby bed?”

He turned to her slowly, his voice thick with surprise. She had already walked in, her footsteps light, graceful, as she made her way toward the baby bed. She knelt beside it and ran her hand over the covers, her expression softening into something tender.

Something maternal.

Aether stood there quietly, watching her.

He didnʼt know why... but the sight stirred something in his chest.

A memory?

A feeling?

He couldnʼt explain it, but suddenly his heart felt too full. His hand instinctively rose and touched his chest. His heartbeat—it had changed.

It was louder. Uneven. Strange.

ʼWhy am I feeling this...?ʼ

Nyx turned her head slightly and smiled.

”This is for our future child,”

”I bought this a while ago... I couldnʼt wait. I knew I would have a family soon... and I wanted to be ready.”

Her voice was gentle, vulnerable in a way he hadnʼt seen before.

And in that moment—his heart skipped a beat.

Ba-dump.

He quickly turned away, embarrassed at how warm his ears felt. For the first time since this strange marriage arrangement began... something shifted inside him.

He got it.

He finally understood.

Maybe... maybe arranged marriage wasnʼt so bad after all.

He imagined bowing in apology to the people he used to mock—those poor souls who had been pushed into arranged relationships.

Now here he was—being pulled into something... real.

”Anyway...”

Nyxʼs voice came again, this time slightly breathier, as she looked away from the baby bed and toward him.

”I know youʼre tired. And I know you probably want to ask a hundred questions... but right now...”

She glanced at the massive bed, then back at him.

Her cheeks were dusted with a faint blush.

”I was thinking... maybe we donʼt have to talk just yet.”

Aether froze.

His breath caught in his throat.

Wait, was this...?

They were going to do it?

Just like that?

No confessions? No buildup of love? No slow blooming of hearts?

Just bodies, bed, and the night?

But...

Was that really so bad?

As long as she consented... right?

Aether rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, shaking his head with a helpless smile.

He was a gentleman. Always had been. He wouldnʼt touch a woman unless he truly loved her. It just felt... wrong. Like sleeping with a stranger. An empty body.

So with that in mind, he began gently,

”Well, I was hoping we could take our tim—”

”Go. To. The. Bed.”

Her voice sliced through the room, sharp and commanding.

Aether blinked in shock. Her soft, loving expression from before? Gone.

She stared at him with narrowed eyes and a completely serious face.

All warmth? Vanished.

Aetherʼs lips twitched.

He swallowed hard.

ʼDamn... sheʼs not just scary—sheʼs terrifying.ʼ

ʼLooks like... this is happening whether Iʼm ready or not.ʼ

He sighed and gave up, half-laughing to himself as he walked toward the chair, removed his black coat, and laid it over the backrest. Then, like a man heading into battle, he climbed onto the bed and lay down slowly.

He stared up at the ceiling.

Nyx gave him one final look—her gaze scanning his posture like she was appraising a soldier before nodding approvingly.

”Good boy.”

She turned and walked into the bathroom.

The sound of running water started soon after.

Aether stared up at the ceiling in silence. A breeze came through the nearby window—cool and refreshing. Despite how cold it had felt outside, the temperature in the room was perfect. Not too hot. Not too cold.

Just right.

Warm. Quiet. Safe.

Soon, the door to the bathroom creaked open.

Nyx stepped out slowly, dressed in a pale purple nightgown that clung to her soft curves, the thin fabric slightly translucent in the low light. Her long, dark hair was wet and clung to her shoulders and back in thick, damp strands. Droplets of water trickled down her neck, sliding between her collarbones before disappearing into the valley between her breasts. Her skin glistened like moonlight kissed it, pale and delicate.

She walked forward with slow, sensual steps—quiet, almost shy—as though each step was rehearsed but hesitant. Her bare feet padded gently on the floor, and the hem of her nightgown brushed just below her thighs, swaying softly with every subtle sway of her wide, shapely hips.

Gulp.

Aether swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. A strange weight settled in his chest. For some reason, it felt like he was doing something wrong—something forbidden. Almost like betrayal.

But betrayal of what? Of who?

What the fuck?

Heʼd done this kind of thing before—hell, countless times. But this… this felt strangely different.

Was it because there was no love?

No connection built beforehand?

No stolen kisses, no shy glances across candlelit dinners?

Just silence, awkward stares, and now... this beautiful, eerie woman walking toward him like a bride possessed by desire and madness.

Or maybe...

Maybe it was those wide, hypnotic hips. Those hips that were sculpted like they were made for motherhood—no, made for him.

He licked his lips, eyes tracing the water still dripping down her thighs. If she did something seductive, he might just lose control. He might actually knock her out of reality. She might be insane—but if she wanted this...

Then crazy or not, he wouldnʼt mind.

Heʼd do what needed to be done.

Nyx finally reached the edge of the bed. She didnʼt say a word. She simply slipped under the covers with a slow, graceful motion, her body sliding beside his. The warmth of her damp skin hit him instantly.

And then... a strange smell. A raw, musky, skull-like scent of dried herbs and bone-dust. It wasnʼt exactly pleasant—but not disgusting either.

It was... oddly fitting. Almost like her scent told a story of rituals, souls, and something not entirely human.

Aether didnʼt flinch. If anything, it added to the mystique.

Nyx turned on her side, facing him. Her eyes met his.

She reached up, her fingers brushing his forehead gently, combing through his hair like a careful lover. Her touch was cool, soft, almost ghostly.

”You look really good...”

She whispered, her voice barely above a breath.

”Mother really picked a good one for me.”

Aether blinked.

Wait—what?

Mother?

His brows furrowed.

What did she mean?

Before he could ask, Nyx let out a soft yawn and nuzzled her face into the pillow.

”Letʼs make a baby,”

She said sleepily, like she was ordering tea, then pulled the quilt over her.

Aether stared blankly at her.

Then grinned.

That shy look on her face as she pulled the quilt over herself—damn, she really didnʼt know what kind of effect she was having on him. She may be crazy, but under that madness was some serious charm.

He flexed his fingers eagerly and rubbed his hands together with a quiet smirk.

”Oh Iʼm gonna spank that ass till it glows,”

He muttered under his breath as he slid under the covers. His eyes immediately found her backside, now turned toward him.

Her body faced away—those wide hips and full thighs pressing against the thin nightgown fabric. The soft curve of her waist, that tempting dip of her spine... it was killing him.

He inched closer, hand slowly reaching out, trembling just slightly.

So close...

Just about to touch her when—

Zzzzzzzzzzz!

A small, steady snore.

Aether froze. His hand hung mid-air, fingers barely away from her hip.

He blinked once.

Twice.

Then frowned.

”Oi... Oi... what the fuck?”

He leaned over, turning her face gently toward him.

She was out cold.

Her lips slightly parted.

Breathing soft and deep.

Eyes closed.

Absolutely asleep.

”....”

Aether stared at her in complete silence.

Was this... a prank?

ʼMaybe she was too tired,ʼ

He thought eventually.

ʼAfter all, while I was unconscious... she was the one doing everything.ʼ

Yeah. That made sense. That explained her sudden crash into sleep right after offering to make a baby.

He let out a long sigh and lay back. He moved away just a little—barely an inch.

Still... it wasnʼt gentlemanly to touch a woman who was asleep... Not even if she said she wanted it five minutes earlier.

He stared at her hips one last time before closing his eyes with a soft groan.

”So damn unfair…”

Next Morning

”WHERE IS MY CHILD?!”

A scream exploded through the bedroom like a thunderclap, shattering the peaceful silence and slapping Aether awake violently from his dreams.

He shot up, eyes wide, heart pounding, completely confused.

”W-What?!”

His voice cracked as he blinked rapidly, his vision adjusting from blurred chaos to sharp, sudden clarity.

Standing at the foot of the bed—

Nyx.

Eyes red with tears, chest rising and falling rapidly as she clutched the side of the baby bed with trembling hands. Her voice echoed around the room again, fury wrapped in sadness.

”WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO OUR CHILD?!”

Aether sat there, stunned.

”Our what now?”

His sleep-fogged mind tried to process the words. His mouth opened, but no sense came out.

”Our child?” he repeated weakly. ”What child?!”

Nyxʼs lips curled with a mix of pain and rage as she glared at him, eyes burning.

”Donʼt pretend to be clueless!” she snapped.

She looked down at the empty baby bed, rocking it slightly.

What the actual fuck?

He stared at her, completely baffled.

Nyx clenched her jaw.

”I WANT A DIVORCE!!”

”H-Huh?!”

Aetherʼs face twisted into the expression of a man who had just woken up in a parallel universe. His mouth hung open slightly, eyebrows twitching as he processed the impossible accusation.

Divorce?

Over an imaginary baby?!

He didnʼt even touch her!

ʼ…Who said arranged marriage was good again?ʼ
