Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1145: What’s wrong with this people?

Nightfire gulped down her dry throat audibly, the sound echoing louder than she intended in the tension-filled room. Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat growing heavier with the silence that followed.

Did she just mess up? Did she seriously fuck it all up?

Did she just lose her job... in the most humiliating way possible?

She shifted uncomfortably, guilt and panic crawling up her spine. With trembling hands, Nightfire quickly moved off his lap, her legs wobbling as she stood. She reached down and tugged her clothes back into place, smoothing out her wrinkled dress and covering her exposed ass. Her gaze hesitantly lifted to meet Nyx’s, who was staring at her with an unreadable, cold, indifferent expression that only made Nightfire’s gut twist harder.

”W-Wait... I-I didn’t mean to—”

Nyx didn’t let her finish.

”Clean the kitchen before you go.”

Her tone was flat, detached.. Then Nyx’s gaze turned away from Nightfire like she was nothing more than a shadow. She looked toward Aether and called out,

”Come with me.”

Without waiting for a response, she turned and began walking towards her room.

Aether paused for a moment, then turned toward Nightfire. He gently patted her shoulder, his expression soft and tinged with pity. Then he flicked his wrist, and just like that, the mess on the ground vanished in an instant, not a single trace left behind.

”Don’t worry... she’s not mad,” he said in a gentle, almost awkward attempt to comfort her. ”Honestly, I don’t think she even cares that I fucked you.”

Nightfire blinked in surprise, her eyes wide as her body tensed. That wasn’t the answer she had expected. For a second, hope flickered in her chest.

”Really...? If that’s the case... then~” she purred, her tone taking a playful, sultry turn as she trailed her fingers across his chest, her hand sliding with slow, seductive intent.

Aether gave her a long, unreadable look. There was something behind his eyes—restraint maybe.

”If I go late, she might get pissed off,” he muttered, half to himself.

Nightfire flinched at the words, deflating her sudden boldness. She forced a small, awkward smile and nodded, trying to hide the sting in her chest. ”Well... go, then.”

Aether gave her a small, reassuring smile and leaned down, pressing a gentle peck on her forehead before stepping away.

She blinked, stunned for a moment. Her fingers reached up to touch the spot where his lips had been, and a small, almost shy smile played on her lips. Her expression softened, just for a second.

Aether stepped into the room as Nyx silently gestured for him to move the bed. Her face was still blank, expressionless, unreadable. Aether raised an eyebrow, curious. She hadn’t changed even a little.

Without asking questions, he casually laid back on the bed. Nyx wasted no time. She climbed on top of him, straddling him with practised motion. Her hands moved to his pants, unfastening them before pulling them down. His cock was already semi-hard, and with just a glance at it, it stirred to full attention.

Aether expected her to start with her mouth — maybe a kiss, maybe a lick — but instead, she reached for the small bottle of lubricant she had brought in earlier. She popped the cap open, poured the cool liquid over his shaft, and rubbed it in evenly. Then, with little ceremony, she pulled her underwear to the side, exposing her dry slit, and without even looking him in the eye, she lowered herself onto him.

No sounds. No moans. No expression.

Just her cold, clinical rhythm as she began to move up and down on his cock, her face void of emotion, like she was performing some routine.

Aether stared up at her, expression blank as he watched her bounce on him — not from passion, not from pleasure — but from a sense of duty.

She was trying to milk him, but it felt distant... disconnected.

”Say... do you even enjoy this? What you’re doing right now?” he asked, unable to hold the silence any longer.

Nyx didn’t pause or even slow down. She simply answered with a tone that matched her face — neutral.

”It’s not about liking it or not. This is a ritual to get pregnant. I have to perform it... whether I enjoy it or not.”

Aether let out a quiet hum, thoughtful, but his voice held a hint of concern.

”You’re not feeling anything at all?”

Nyx tilted her head as if thinking about it. Yes, she could feel some tingling down there — her flower felt sticky, warm, and just a bit tight, but that was about it. No heat. No craving. No desire.

She shook her head in reply.

Aether gently lifted his hands and placed them on her hips for the first time. The moment his fingers touched her skin, Nyx visibly flinched.

He leaned up slightly and whispered,

”Should I help you feel it?~”

He began to move his hips gently, slowly rocking into her, trying to stir a reaction, to reach something inside her — physically or emotionally.

Nyx frowned, her head slightly tilting again.

”But... Morgana didn’t say anything about that... so I don’t need it.”

”Even if it might make you feel good?”

She blinked, confused. ”Does feeling good help me get pregnant?”

”Well... not exactly. But it increases the chances — the success rate goes up when your body responds naturally.”

Nyx hesitated. Her lips parted just slightly before she gave a tiny nod. ”Then... do it.”

Aether smirked softly and began to move, this time more deliberately — slowly grinding into her, his hands tightening around her hips to guide her movements, coaxing sensation from her indifferent body.

Yet still... nothing. No gasps. No moans. No reaction.

Her eyes slowly dulled, turning almost lifeless. She stared past him, as though her soul wasn’t present anymore.

’Fuck... this is beyond messed up.’

He thought grimly, the unease in his chest growing heavier. At this point, he wasn’t even sure he could finish like this. He tried to lift his hand and reach for her breasts, thinking maybe touching her would help...

But Nyx shook her head, her voice as cold as ever.

”There’s no need for that.”

Aether frowned, frustrated and disheartened. He sighed deeply, then shifted her position, gently laying her back on the bed while climbing on top of her. Maybe a different position would help. Maybe seeing her face beneath him...

But even then... no reaction.

It became painfully clear — she wasn’t trying to dominate him, nor was she avoiding it. She simply didn’t care. It didn’t matter what position they were in, so long as he didn’t look at her pussy or touch her breasts. All that mattered to her... was that he pumped. That’s it.

This was fucked. Deeply fucked.

Still... his body responded anyway. Eventually, despite the discomfort in his mind, he came inside her. And the moment he did, she shifted to the side, not saying a word.

”Nyx.”

”Hm?”

”I don’t understand what you’re trying to do here... You took me as your husband. You even smiled at me once — gently, sweetly. But now... even when we’re this close, you feel so far away. Why?”

Nyx turned her head and looked at him, her expression finally showing something...

”I was happy that day,” she said softly. ”I was excited... thinking I’d get a baby. But then I learned about the ritual... that it takes time... and now... I don’t feel happy anymore. Not until I see the baby.”

Her voice was calm, truthful — almost painfully so.

Aether’s brows lifted slightly. That was... honest. Completely honest. No hesitation.

He leaned a little closer, his voice lower now.

”I see... but why do you want a baby so badly?”

Aether frowned slightly, a soft crease forming between his brows.

Nyx looked at him for a brief moment, her eyes blank and expression unreadable. Then she turned her head away and muttered under her breath,

”You do your duty as a husband... and I’ll do mine as a wife. That’s all.”

And with those quiet words, she turned her back to him and drifted off to sleep without another word or look.

Aether’s lips twitched at the corner — not quite a smile, not quite a frown. He stared at her sleeping form in silence. So... that was it? Was that really all there was between them now?

So she wanted a baby. That much was obvious. But was that the only thing that made her happy?

Or was there something more?

Was she trying to use the baby for something? Trying to achieve a goal that she didn’t tell him about?

Questions lingered in his mind, thick and heavy like storm clouds that wouldn’t clear. Eventually, with a long breath, Aether closed his eyes and allowed sleep to pull him under.

.....

....

...Ssshhhh~

A soft whisper-like noise echoed in the darkness.

Aether flinched suddenly, his entire body tensing as an unexpected chill crept over his bare shoulder. He frowned in discomfort, his brows tightening as his eyes slowly fluttered open. For a moment, the world was blurry — then it sharpened.

The bedroom door was open.

Aether rubbed his eyes groggily, blinking to clear his vision. As he turned his head to the side, his heart gave a small jump — the space next to him on the bed was empty.

Nyx wasn’t there.

”Nyx?” he called out softly, his voice thick with sleep but tinged with concern.

He sat up quickly, his frown deepening as he stood. And then, something even stranger happened.

The moment he stepped out of the hallway and reached the nearest window... his eyes widened in absolute disbelief.

The world outside had changed.

The once colourless, grey-toned realm was now painted with an eerie crimson hue. The sky — it wasn’t just red — it was bleeding. It looked like the heavens themselves were bleeding a pure, deep crimson.

Ssshhhh~

Another gust of icy wind blew past him, and this time Aether shivered. He clenched his jaw. It wasn’t supposed to be cold. It never was. But tonight... that chill crawled all the way into his bones.

And still... no sign of Nyx.

”Nyx!”

He shouted louder, panic now rising in his voice as he hurried down the hallways and searched the mansion from corner to corner.

But no matter where he looked, she was gone.

She wasn’t in the garden, not in the halls, not even in the kitchen. The silence was deafening.

Aether’s mind raced. Where could she be?

And then a thought crossed his mind that made his chest tighten.

’The graveyard... what if she’s at the graveyard?’

He didn’t hesitate. He ran to the mansion’s main entrance. His hand hovered above the doorknob for a second, unsure — something didn’t feel right. But then he exhaled sharply and opened the door.

Step—

He froze.

His foot hovered mid-air, just inches from stepping outside. But what he saw made his blood run cold.

The entire graveyard... was filled with ghosts.

Hundreds of them.

Flickering, translucent figures with twisted faces floated silently across the gravestones. Some shimmered in blue, others in dull gray, drifting like fog around the yard. But they weren’t aimless.

No — they were facing him.

And they were standing just inches from the doorstep.

Their eyes — cold, glowing, unblinking — stared directly at him. Dozens of them. Hundreds.

Each face was pale and worn, lips stretched into disturbing little grins. Some reached out with bony, semi-transparent fingers... beckoning him to come outside.

To join them~

Aether’s eyes widened in disbelief, and with one quick motion—

Thud!

He slammed the door shut and leaned against it, heart pounding in his chest. He took a deep breath and muttered to himself in a strained whisper,

”We didn’t see anything... nope. Nothing happened.”

Shaking his head quickly, he turned and walked back toward the bedroom. Without a second glance outside, he threw himself onto the bed and yanked the quilt over his head, covering himself completely as if it could shield him from whatever the hell that was.

He needed sleep. Whatever was going on out there... it wasn’t his problem tonight.

Nyx could handle herself. She wasn’t some child who needed babysitting.

At least... he hoped so.

Meanwhile, outside the mansion — the entire empire had descended into madness.

”Haha! I need that money! Hand it over, you bastard!” a vicious werewolf snarled as he burst into a bank, barrelling through the doors without hesitation, saliva dripping from his fangs.

”Give me your cock, bitches~” laughed a wicked succubus as she skipped through the streets, yanking at men’s pants and tweaking their junk with her sharp claws, horrifying teeth, giggling like a lunatic.

”I NEED BLOOD... BLOOD... BLOOOOOOD!!” a vampire roared, dragging a greatsword across the ground behind him. He charged through the marketplace, slicing down anything and anyone who stood in his path, his crimson eyes glowing with insane hunger.

”Trrr... Trrrrrr!!” shrieked a skeletal warrior as its trembling jawbone clattered wildly. It raised a rusted sword into the air and charged another bone soldier, striking and clashing in a chaotic, mindless battle.

All across the empire — every district, every alley, every street — was consumed in pure chaos.

No rules. No law. No sanity.

Just blood, screams, curses, and violence.

What the hell was going on?
