Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 583: A Succubus is just another Natural Creature

After Nightfire’s bloodline awakened, her life took a horrifying turn.

She could no longer control her body. No matter what she did, her instincts reacted whenever she came near a man.

It wasn’t a matter of willpower anymore—her body acted on its own, betraying her mind and intentions.

Normal food no longer satisfied her hunger. Her cravings turned into something primal, something she didn’t want to accept but couldn’t deny.

”Nightfire...” Ashara’s voice quivered with genuine worry. She tried her best to calm the storm raging within her counterpart, but it was futile.

Nightfire’s body had already begun hunting for prey... men

,

of course.

That wasn’t shameful or unnatural; it was simply how succubi and incubi survived.

Their sustenance wasn’t from bread or fruit—it came from the essence of others, the intimacy that bound predator to prey.

Call it disgusting, call it vile, but no one outside their cursed kind could ever understand that gnawing hunger.

And yet...

”I will not let you use my body!” Ashara’s voice was firm, unyielding as she blocked Nightfire’s hunger!

Nightfire froze, momentarily stunned by Ashara’s defiance. Unlike Nightfire, Ashara didn’t feel the hunger.

She didn’t experience the uncontrollable, consuming need whenever a man came close.

The two argued endlessly, their conflict escalating into battles of will and furious debates.

”Ashara, I’m starving!” Nightfire pleaded one night, her voice heavy with desperation.

”Nightfire...” Ashara’s tone was resolute but tinged with sorrow. ”I will not let you use ’OUR’ body like that. I won’t! I refuse to sleep with another man just because you’re hungry!”

Their clashes continued, growing more volatile by the day. But then one night... everything changed.

Nightfire’s instincts finally overpowered her. Her face twisted into something monstrous—unrecognizable.... something Aether just seen now.

Her eyes gleamed with a feral light, her wide mouth filled with sharp, glistening teeth. Her wicked grin sent shivers down the spine of the unfortunate man she had cornered.

”P-Please, no... noooo!” the man screamed, his voice echoing in the lonely darkness.

Nightfire’s grin widened, her voice losing any trace of humanity, ”Don’t worry... you’ll enjoy it soon enough~” she hissed, her tone devoid of seduction.

It was a pure, raw monstrosity taking over.

But before she could act, Ashara fought back with everything she had. With sheer willpower, she wrested control of their shared body, forcing Nightfire into submission.

As soon as Ashara regained control, the monstrous visage faded, and the man, trembling in terror, bolted into the night without looking back.

Nightfire was left paralyzed by shame and defeat. Yet, despite her humiliation, the hunger remained—a deep, gnawing void that refused to be filled.

From that moment on, Ashara took permanent control of their body. The two had once shared control freely, switching when needed, but that arrangement ended after the incident.

Nightfire’s instincts and powers only surfaced when she was in charge, and Ashara refused to let that happen again.

Nightfire became a prisoner within her own body. Chained behind an invisible door, she could see everything Ashara experienced but couldn’t feel it herself.

It was like watching life through a window, a distant observer of a world she could no longer touch.

Meanwhile, Ashara struggled. Without Nightfire’s influence, her powers leaked uncontrollably, causing trouble for her at every turn. To find a way to help, Ashara pushed herself harder than ever.

Unlike Nightfire, she wasn’t naturally talented or brimming with confidence. She was shy, uncertain, and painfully aware of how others saw her. But she worked tirelessly, eventually earning her place at the academy. Even then, she was labelled a slut simply for being a succubus.

The whispers, the mocking stares... they stung. Ashara pretended not to care, but deep down, their baseless judgments hurt more than she would ever admit.

”That’s the story,” Nightfire said with a tired shrug, her voice laden with bitterness.

Aether nodded slowly, his expression contemplative. He was beginning to understand her pain—if only a little, ”So... how are you able to take control now, after all this time?” he asked.

Nightfire’s face turned thoughtful, her eyes distant. ”It’s been 25 years of hunger, Aether,” she said softly. ”I’ve had to control my sanity, piece by piece. And as long as no man comes near me... I’m fine. In this room, alone, in the quiet of the night.” A faint, sad smile tugged at her lips.

Aether’s gaze swept across the room, ”This is your prison, isn’t it?” he asked quietly.

Nightfire chuckled dryly. ”It is. But...” Her voice softened. ”After what happened at the summit, I started to understand Ashara better..... And she started to understand me.

She felt my hunger and truly understood it for the first time.

That’s why she agreed to let me take you

.

”

Aether’s curiosity deepened. ”The summit... what exactly happened there?”

Nightfire shook her head, a faint, ”It was us... I am not sharing with a ’so-called friend!’”

Aether shrugged but couldn’t stop himself from asking, ”If she agreed, then why was she still scared of you touching me? Was she worried about our friendship?”

Nightfire glanced at him but didn’t respond, She could not tell these things!

Only she and Ashara knew the truth....

It wasn’t about Aether or their friendship. It was about her—Nightfire herself.

When they had fallen into the Heart Game, Nightfire finally grasped the truth Ashara had been trying so desperately to hide.

Ashara wasn’t scared of Aether. She wasn’t even scared of their bond breaking. No... Ashara was scared of what would happen to Nightfire.

Succubi—often labelled as seductive, lewd creatures—were, in reality, monsters born of hunger.

Their emotions were tools, and masks to lure prey.

That’s how they survived.

Ashara feared that once Nightfire experienced that intoxicating rush of satisfaction, she would lose the sister she loved. The one who had cared for her through everything would be consumed, reduced to a mindless monster that craved nothing but ’nectar.’

It wasn’t an irrational fear—it was a reality Ashara had seen before.

Their mother had abandoned them when they were no longer useful, proving the cruel nature of their kind.

Compassion, love, and loyalty didn’t exist for succubi/Incubi!!!

So, Nightfire truly understood Ashara’s pain yet... The Hunger was something!

Ashara had come to understand the depth of Nightfire’s hunger—A hunger that was more than physical.

It was a torment that devoured her from the inside out!!

Ashara had witnessed Nightfire clawing at the edges of sanity, trying to stave off an insatiable void. She had seen her eat mud, bite her own skin, and cry out in agony for something to fill the emptiness.

Ashara never thought her Nightfire was suffering like this... The guilt when she saw that... almost made her lose her mind.

That was why Ashara finally agreed to ask Victor/Aether.

They didn’t come to him lightly.

Victor was someone they trusted. Ashara had seen how he treated her—not as a succubus, not as a tool, but as a person. After everything they had been through together, she believed he wouldn’t think less of them.

Still, the situation had spiralled out of control, and now Nightfire was left to handle it.

Nightfire smirked, her gaze flickered to Aether, who seemed lost in thought, ”What’s with that look? Are you sad about my tragic life?” she asked, a playful lilt to her voice.

Before he could respond, she winked and leaned forward slightly, ”If it bothers you that much, you know... you could just give me that cock for a minute. I’ll make it quick—I promise to suck out

everything

~” she teased, her tone dripping with exaggerated seduction.

Aether blinked, startled by her shift in demeanour. The teasing, flirtatious act was a stark contrast to the monster he had seen moments ago.

He stared at her intently, his crystal blue eyes locking with hers.

”What?” Nightfire asked, raising an eyebrow.

”Give me some time,” he said firmly.

Her smirk faltered slightly. Aether’s words carried a weight she hadn’t expected. He wasn’t running away, and he wasn’t succumbing to her either.

Aether’s mind was filled with thoughts... Nightfire didn’t want romance or affection.

She didn’t care about love!!

What she needed was raw, primal sustenance, nothing more.

If the situation had been like Lia’s, where emotions were involved, he might have helped without hesitation.

But this... this was something different. Something he needed time to think about.

Nightfire tilted her head, surprised by his response. She had expected him to either take advantage of the situation or flee in fear after seeing her true form.

Yet he did neither.

She nodded silently, her teasing smile fading.

Aether smiled faintly, his gaze softening as he looked at her. ”Ashara,” he said firmly, ”no matter what happens, I’ll always be your friend. I’ll never think of you as anything less.” His voice was steady, sincere, and unwavering.

With that, he turned and left the room.

Nightfire lay back on the bed, covering her eyes with her arm as though to block out the world. For a moment, she remained silent, but then a familiar voice echoed in her mind.

”I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have said that.” Ashara’s voice trembled with guilt and pain.

Nightfire bit her lip hard, a single tear slipping down her cheek as her chest tightened.

A succubus was not a slut!!

....

.....

Aether teleported back to the principal’s house, collapsing onto the bed with a sigh. His expression was heavy with thought.

All this time, his actions and mindset had been shaped by human perspectives.

He had judged other races through simplified stereotypes....

Elves were Long-living old traditional idiots.

Vampires were parasitic bloodsuckers.

Werewolves were brainless beasts.

Dragons were prideful to the point of uselessness.

And yet...

’You can’t define an entire race by a single characteristic,’ he thought, the realization settling over him like a weight.

He recalled what Maelona had once told him: that elves often struggled to conceive children.

For them, the longing for offspring was a deep, painful ache—a curse of their longevity. It was something no other race could truly understand.

Aether hadn’t grasped it before. But now... he was beginning to see.

”Arrgh... I feel like such an idiot,” he muttered, rubbing his temples with a frustrated groan.
