Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 579 A Succubus is not S*** Part-1

”Victor... ahhh,” Ashara called out, opening her mouth with teasing eyes, her lips slightly parted in an exaggerated gesture.

Victor, without a momentʼs hesitation, shoved a handful of snacks into her mouth.

”Mfff!!” Asharaʼs eyes widened in surprise before she began chewing, glaring at him with annoyance as she swallowed, ”Mmm... gulp... You—you donʼt just shove things into a girlʼs mouth like that!”

Victor smirked, leaning back nonchalantly. ”What? You asked for it.”

”

Gulp

E-Even so,” Ashara stammered, wiping her lips before pointing a finger at him, ”You need to learn how to treat girls properly, or youʼre going to stay single forever! Oh, wait...” She paused, her face lighting up with a teasing grin, ”You already have Selene, donʼt you?”

Her voice trailed off as the memory of

that day

replayed vividly in her mind—Victor kissing Selene in front of everyone with a boldness that had left the whole crowd stunned.

It was... undeniably cool and...

ʼDamn hot, right?ʼ

The voice in her head interrupted her train of thought, making her cheeks burn bright red. She screamed inwardly,

ʼShut up, you idiot!ʼ

ʼOh, come on now,ʼ

the voice chimed in again, this time with a sly tone.

ʼYou know youʼre missing your chance, right?ʼ

Asharaʼs face soured slightly as she internally retorted

,

ʼAs I said, weʼre just friends. Thatʼs all!ʼ

The voice scoffed, its tone turning sharp,

ʼFriends or not, you still owe me. Donʼt forget our deal, Ashara.ʼ

It paused, then added with a wicked edge,

ʼThe prey is in your trap. All you have to do now is... devour it~ʼ

Ashara sighed inwardly, stealing a glance at Victor. He was completely focused on the notes in front of him, munching on snacks as if nothing else in the world mattered. Her cheeks turned a shade redder as she debated her next move. Slowly, she leaned closer and placed a trembling hand on his thigh.

Victor frowned slightly, glancing down at her hand before looking at her with a raised brow. ”What?” he asked.

”H-Haha...” Ashara forced an awkward laugh, her fingers fidgeting against his leg, ”Y-You know, youʼre... really h-handsome~” Her face contorted into a nervous, forced smile as she tried to sound casual.

Victor blinked at her, ”Okay...?” He nodded slowly, clearly unimpressed and slightly confused by her antics.

Ashara bit her lip in frustration, ʼWhy isnʼt this working?!ʼ Desperate, she tried a different approach. ”Oh! Wait, I need to grab something...” She leaned over him, feigning an attempt to reach for something behind him. Her chest hovered precariously close to his face, but Victor didnʼt flinch.

His eyes stayed glued to the notes in his hand.... Like he had total concentration!

Ashara lowered herself even more, her heart pounding as her chest was nearly touching his face now. And yet... nothing.

Not even a reaction!

ʼWhy isnʼt he reacting?!ʼ she screamed inwardly, her face burning with embarrassment.

ʼSigh... If you think that is going to seduce him, youʼre hopeless,ʼ

the voice in her head muttered with exasperation.

ʼIf that worked, heʼd have slept with hundreds of women by now.ʼ

The voice paused before adding with a hint of impatience

, ʼLet me handle this.ʼ

ʼNO!ʼ Ashara snapped mentally, retreating back to her seat. She took a deep breath and loosened the top button of her blouse, exposing a hint of cleavage.

Fanning herself dramatically, she sighed, ”Itʼs sooo hot in here.” As she spoke, she subtly shifted her chest from side to side and lifted her skirt slightly, revealing more of her thighs.

Victor finally looked up, his gaze lingering on her flushed face before narrowing slightly. Something didnʼt feel right.

”Hot?” he repeated, his tone laced with suspicion. His eyes flickered to her dishevelled state—her flushed cheeks, the cleavage, and the thighs on display.

He frowned..... Ashara wasnʼt the type to act so careless, especially around him.

ʼNightfire?ʼ Victor wondered, a sly grin forming on his lips,

ʼ

Look whoʼs trying to play seductress now.ʼ

”Indeed, itʼs really hot,” Victor said, his voice laced with amusement. Without warning, he pulled his shirt off, tossing it onto the chair.

”KYAAA!!” Ashara screamed, covering her eyes in a panic. ”W-What are you doing?!”

Victor struggled to suppress his laughter, his tone innocent as he replied, ”What do you mean? You said it was hot.”

Ashara, still covering her eyes, stammered, ”W-Well, yeah, but... Why did you take your shirt off?!”

Victor leaned back, his grin widening. ”Iʼm just trying to cool down, obviously. Why are you so flustered?”

Asharaʼs face burned as the voice in her head cackled wickedly, ʼSee that? Thatʼs a

man

. Just look at that body. Fuck him already!! Asharaʼs voice echoed with unrestrained lust.

ʼF-F-F-Fuck him?!ʼ Ashara stammered internally, her mind spiralling in panic. ʼW-What are you talking about? W-We only agreed to get his... his m-m-manly fluid!ʼ Her mental voice wavered between shock and fear.

”Yeah, sure,”

The voice purred, dark and insistent,

”We are going to get his fluid... but look at that body. Fuck yeah... Thereʼs no way Iʼm passing up the chance to taste every inch of that fucking hot body,”

she growled, her tone thick with desire.

Asharaʼs body began trembling as though on the verge of being overtaken, her control slipping. She clutched at her consciousness desperately. ʼStop it, Nightfire!!ʼ she screamed inwardly, her voice ringing with determination. She fought back the surge of energy trying to overpower her, and her trembling ceased, ʼW-We only agreed to get his fluid! Nothing more!ʼ

ʼI donʼt want to ruin my friendship...ʼ she thought, her heart tightening. The fear of breaking the fragile bond she cherished with Victor gave her the strength to resist.

The voice groaned dramatically.

ʼFine, fine. But youʼre seriously missing out...ʼ

Victorʼs voice broke through her mental argument. ”Ashara?” he called, his tone soft but curious.

She jolted, snapping out of her thoughts. ”Y-Yeah! Itʼs... really hot, right? D-Do you want some cold drinks?” Her words came out rushed and awkward as she scrambled to her feet.

Victor watched her retreat to the kitchen, his gaze thoughtful. The more he observed her, the more convinced he became that this was Ashara, not Nightfire. And yet... something felt off.

ʼSigh... This is getting ridiculous,ʼ Victor thought, leaning back in his chair, ʼShould I just ask her directly?ʼ If he did then he needed to explain a lot of things... which rather he felt pain in the ass!

...

....

In the kitchen, Ashara leaned against the counter, staring at her reflection in the mirror above the sink.

Her pale face and worried eyes reflected the storm brewing within her. She clenched the edge of the sink tightly, willing her racing heart to calm down.

ʼYou were the one who agreed I could take from Victor, remember?ʼ

a voice echoed in her mind, sharp and accusing.

Ashara bit her lip, unable to respond.

The voice sighed dramatically,

ʼCome on, girl. Weʼve been over this before. Didnʼt we already deal with this crap in that shitty game of summit? Thereʼs no need to hesitate. If you think this will ruin your friendship, why not just get what you need from another man?ʼ

Asharaʼs teeth clenched so hard it hurt. She spun away from the mirror, fists trembling. ”Another man?” she hissed, her voice trembling with suppressed rage.

”Do you have any idea what people already say about me?

They call me a s-slut—a dirty, desperate girl who sleeps with professors to climb the ladder! Do you know how hard I worked to get into this academy?!

How much I sacrificed?! And yet...” Her voice cracked, tears spilling down her cheeks.

”...They still call me a slut. And now y-you want me to—” Her words caught in her throat as sobs broke free.

”...”

The voice went silent for a moment, as though even it was taken aback.

Ashara wiped her tears fiercely. Her voice softened but carried the weight of her pain.

”Do you know how happy I was when I met Victor?” Her lip quivered as she spoke. ”Unlike everyone else—who either avoided me like I was diseased or approached me only because they thought Iʼd sleep with them—he... he just treated me like a person.

He didnʼt see a succubus.

He saw

Ashara.

And today... when he said he trusted me...” Her voice broke as fresh tears streamed down. ”...It meant everything to me.”

”Ashara...”

The voice softened as if trying to console her,

”I understand how you feel—”

”NO!” she snapped, her voice filled with fury, ”You donʼt! If you understood, you wouldnʼt dare suggest I sleep with another man!”

The voice went silent again.

”Ashara? Are you okay?” Victorʼs voice rang out from the other room, startling her.

Ashara scrambled to respond. ”N-Nothing! Just a few bugs here!” she called, quickly washing her face to hide her tear-streaked cheeks. She grabbed two glasses, poured the drinks hurriedly, and rushed back to the living room before Victor could follow her.

The voice spoke again as she walked,

ʼA-Ashara, listen to me—ʼ

ʼNo,ʼ Ashara thought firmly, refusing to engage.

”Here,” she said, setting the cold drink down in front of Victor and taking a seat beside him. She hesitated for a moment before speaking, her voice trembling. ”V-Victor...”

The voice in her mind screamed,

ʼA-Ashara I nee--ʼ

But she ignored it.

Victor looked at her as he sipped his drink, raising an eyebrow at her hesitation. ”Hmm?”

”I-I... Can I ask you something?” she began nervously, her heart pounding. ”You kno—KYYYYAAAAAA!”
