The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 492: Chapter 492: You’re the One I’m Hitting

Huangfu Yuxuan laughed, ”Miss Xia is very clever. It seems you’ve already recognized me.”

”Recognized you? Who do you think you are, thinking you deserve to be recognized with just one glance? Move aside, a good dog doesn’t block the path!”

Seeing Xia Wenjin’s expression suddenly darken, she retorted immediately, her words truly impolite. Huangfu Yuxuan, who had always been placed on a pedestal, flattered by everyone, couldn’t help but feel slightly embarrassed.

He furrowed his brows slightly. However, when his somber gaze met Xia Wenjin’s bright face, it slowly softened into a gentle one.

He spoke good-naturedly, ”My name is Huangfu Yuxuan! Do you remember who I am now?”

Xia Wenjin remained expressionless, ”Whether your name is Tom, Dick, or Harry, it has nothing to do with me. I don’t recognize you just by seeing you, let alone by hearing a name.”

Retorted again, yet Huangfu Yuxuan was not angry this time. Instead, he found the girl’s frosty demeanor in front of him quite interesting.

The image of her dressed in flaming red the first time they met had been etched in his heart. Now, seeing her in this elegant green attire, she looked equally as beautiful.

He was very satisfied with Xia Wenjin; she was pretty and had personality, which was much more interesting than those noble ladies in the Capital.

He was confident that Xia Wanqing would not mention withdrawing the engagement. Marriage affairs are determined by parents and matchmakers’ words; even if she disagrees, once it’s set in stone, she must agree eventually.

Moreover, the reason for the escape from Haotian Village was because Xia Wenjin had no idea about his identity.

It seemed that Xia Wanqing hadn’t mentioned it today either.

But she would find out sooner or later, even if his father was now demoted to Prince Liang, he was still the Emperor’s eldest son, of noble blood. Becoming his legitimate wife was something many people couldn’t even dream of.

He believed Xia Wenjin would soon change her mind.

He laughed, ”Judging from the direction Miss Xia is coming from, you must have just met with Father-in-law, right? Whether you admit it or not, I am your fiancé. Father-in-law must have told you this!”

The words ’fiancé’ made Xia Wenjin feel disgusted.

She looked at Huangfu Yuxuan with a hostile expression, ”I don’t care who you are! You can eat recklessly but don’t speak recklessly. If I hear such slander about my reputation again, I won’t be polite!”

Huangfu Yuxuan took a step forward.

The girl looked quite beautiful when she was angry.

Although he was smiling, it didn’t mean he could tolerate Xia Wenjin’s constant rebuttal. Yet he smiled even brighter, ”So how does Miss Xia plan not to be polite?” Saying that he even reached out to grab Xia Wenjin’s hand.

He knew Xia Wenjin knew martial arts.

But he didn’t take it seriously.

Because he knew Xia Wenjin’s martial arts were not strong.

Naughty, lively, loves pranks, enjoys teasing people, clean, beautiful, pure...

This was the personality of Xia Wenjin that he summed up from the brothers in the village during the time he lived there.

Of course, there was also one trait, thinking she’s good at martial arts when actually, the brothers in the village were just letting her win.

This was a girl who was unaware of life’s hardships, growing up spoiled by her father, brothers, and uncles.

Since this was his fiancée, with such beauty in front of him, even if his actions were a bit out of line, it didn’t matter.

After all, if she hadn’t eloped, the two of them should have been married more than a year ago. He was merely promoting the relationship between them, allowing their marriage to happen sooner.

Xia Wenjin stepped back, avoiding his hand.

The fact that Huangfu Yuxuan dared to be so presumptuous had already brought a layer of coldness to her eyes. She warned, ”Do you know who I am? I’m a bandit by origin. If you don’t withdraw your claws, be careful I might break it!”

Huangfu Yuxuan looked over and felt she was all bark and no bite. He chuckled lightly, suddenly wondering, if he were to take Xia Wenjin away now and consummate the marriage by force, would that be more efficient than waiting and slowly capturing her heart?

Isn’t it said that once a woman gives her body to someone, she’s emotionally attached to that person?

Gongyang Puyu never mentioned the effects of brute force.

He usually wasn’t lustful, but looking at the girl in front of him, he suddenly felt his blood boil. He felt this decision was quite perfect.

So Xia Wenjin’s retreat not only didn’t make him stop but rather brought him a step closer.

He said, ”More than a year ago, when we were about to wed, you suddenly left Haotian Village. I suppose you despised me for having no roots, unworthy of the young lady of Haotian Village, right? Then let me introduce myself again. I am Huangfu Yuxuan, second son of Prince Liang, the current Imperial Grandson. But it doesn’t matter, sooner or later, we are bound to become husband and wife.”

Then, he once again reached for Xia Wenjin.

”Have you lost your mind!” Xia Wenjin’s eyebrows turned cold. Just as his hand was about to touch hers, she suddenly stomped on his foot.

This stomp was with great force, and caught off guard, Huangfu Yuxuan felt half of his foot go numb, instinctively bending down, only to find Xia Wenjin’s second move waiting right there. As she lifted her knee, Huangfu Yuxuan’s chin came precisely into contact, with a crunch, he felt his jaw crumble.

His whole face was painfully numb, and his head was spinning.

Xia Wenjin’s elbow struck down on his back with seamless precision, knocking Huangfu Yuxuan to the ground. Her tone was wild, ”Don’t think you can fool me. If you didn’t fake this identity, I might have somewhat believed you might be the person I was engaged to. But now I wouldn’t believe a word you say! My father knows I loathe people from the Government. If you were indeed some Imperial Grandson, my father would annul the engagement without me saying so! Don’t think you can fool us dressed like a decent person, while staying in the Capital. Dream on! Imperial Grandson, why don’t you say you’re the Emperor! Bah!”

”Xia Wenjin, you are rebellious, you dare hit me?”

Normally with Huangfu Yuxuan’s skills, he wouldn’t have been so easily knocked down by Xia Wenjin, but he never expected her to strike as soon as she spoke, and as fast as lightning.

These moves by Xia Wenjin weren’t extraordinary, they weren’t even considered skillful, but the key is they were effective, and without arousing suspicion!

”I hit you purposely!” Xia Wenjin said disdainfully, ”You say you’re the Imperial Grandson, do you think I’m naive and easy to trick? Which Imperial Grandson goes out without guards, hidden guards, a bunch of servants? You, all alone, sneaking around, clearly not an honest person. Bluffing in front of me?”

Huangfu Yuxuan: ”...”

Huangfu Yuxuan’s face turned blue with anger. He wanted to speak, but couldn’t utter a word, his head was spinning, his back aching, and the girl’s clear, cold voice still echoed in his ears, ”At such a young age, not learning good, but being crafty and deceitful is what you’re good at! My father won’t be fooled by you, neither will I! Today’s beating is just to teach you a lesson. Next time you spew nonsense and fabricate tales, claiming you’re the Imperial Grandson, I’ll beat you every time I see you!”
