The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 453: Chapter 453: That Old Fart Is Vicious

Having planned everything, in the end, he sent his own son to his death! This made Huangfu Hanyu almost go mad!

Although Jinxuan was punished, Imperial Concubine Zhou docked his salary and confined him, but compared to Jing’er’s life, what kind of punishment is that?

The most hateful thing is, Huangfu Jingchen is still alive!

The twenty blows left Jinxuan, this pampered young noble, beaten and bruised, crying out in pain.

This banquet resulted in a death, and although everything has been clarified, and those who needed to be punished have been, the banquet could not continue.

The members of the Imperial Family each took their leave.

These members felt both joyful and honored, yet anxious about the Imperial Palace’s banquet. Especially today’s banquet, it was truly nerve-wracking, but thankfully, they were not implicated and left unscathed.

After Jinxuan was punished, King Kang took him to plead guilty to the Emperor, eager to take him home quickly, as this brat nearly scared them to death this time.

Fortunately, the Emperor was wise, only imposing a punishment of thirty blows. If they stayed any longer, and something else happened, additional punishment could be life-threatening.

A gritted voice suddenly sounded: ”Attempted murder of an Imperial Grandson, and you still want to leave?”

On the ground lay the corpse of Huangfu Jing, waiting for burial. However, it was covered with white cloth, concealing Huangfu Jing’s final terrifying expression.

Huangfu Hanyu, his eyes bloodshot, stared fiercely at Jinxuan!

If not for this kid’s troublemaking, how could it have ended this way?

His Jing’er cannot die in vain!

Just as Jinxuan was about to speak, King Kang glared at him, and he reluctantly closed his mouth. King Kang bowed and said, ”Your Highness the Crown Prince, regarding Mr. Jing’s death, my child indeed has some fault, but it was all an accident, he had no intention to harm Mr. Jing. This matter has been thoroughly investigated, my child has been punished, and I will strictly discipline him in the future. I hope Your Highness can restrain your grief!”

King Kang adopted a humble attitude, acknowledging that although the incident was an accident, it’s undeniable that it resulted from Huangfu Jingxuan’s actions. After all, the Crown Prince lost a son; he understood the pain of losing a child.

Therefore, even if the Crown Prince’s attitude became more hostile, he would not take it to heart.

However, the Crown Prince felt frustrated, as if punching cotton. His dismay was considerable. Extending his hand, he grabbed the front of Huangfu Jinxuan’s clothes, who was being supported by King Kang and Huangfu Rong, and punched him.

Jinxuan, caught off guard, saw the punch coming toward his face. Already battered and bruised from the previous beating, another punch could indeed cause serious harm.

Huangfu Rong did not know martial arts, and King Kang was a Prince Taiping.

Everything developed too quickly, and Jinxuan’s eyes narrowed; he did not expect the Crown Prince to strike at him now.

A disaster, oh his handsome face...

He instinctively closed his eyes.

However, the anticipated pain did not hit his face, nor was he knocked over by a punch.

He slightly opened his eyes in secret to peek, and saw a hand appearing at an angle, gripping the Crown Prince’s fist.

Turning his head, Huangfu Jingchen, graceful as ever, with a calm expression, had caught Huangfu Hanyu’s fist, preventing it from hitting Jinxuan.

Jinxuan gratefully said, ”Prince Jing, thank you, thank you!”

Don’t think he didn’t know; the Crown Prince’s punch just now was imbued with inner strength. Had it struck him in the face, it could have broken his cheekbone and his nose—that would have been disfigurement.

That old man is truly malicious!

Huangfu Hanyu’s punch was stopped, sending him into a rage, especially when he saw the other person was Huangfu Jingchen, it stirred even greater anger within him.

He forcefully pulled back his fist, and Huangfu Jingchen released his grip just in time.

Subsequently, Huangfu Hanyu swung another punch towards Huangfu Jingchen.

Huangfu Jingchen stepped back to avoid it.

This made Huangfu Hanyu’s eyes redder, as he charged forward swinging, as if gone mad.

Huangfu Jingchen retreated step by step, neither fighting back nor allowing Huangfu Hanyu to land a blow on him.

This commotion drew the attention of the Emperor, who was already in a bad mood. Losing an Imperial Grandson, no matter how many grandsons the Emperor had, would still hurt his heart. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

He merely blinked slightly, then why had things become unruly there?

Looking over, he saw Huangfu Hanyu swinging punches at Huangfu Jingchen, as Jingchen retreated with Hanyu in pursuit.

The Emperor shouted, ”Stop!”

Though unwilling, Hanyu could only cease upon hearing the Emperor’s voice.

The Emperor approached, frowning: ”Crown Prince, no one wished for things to turn out this way. Since it’s been identified as an accident, why vent your anger on others? You are the Crown Prince, not a commoner; mind your status!”

His words carried a harsh tone.

A commoner can act impulsively, but how can the Crown Prince, as a future monarch, not control his temper? A ruler is the father of a nation; a Crown Prince should also embrace a broad mind towards all his people!

Now that he has lost his son, he vents his anger on others. How does this differ from common folk? Is such a person fitting to be Crown Prince?

Furthermore, the truth has already been found; though Huangfu Jing was wrongfully killed, it was entirely accidental, and the culprit has been executed. Though they aimed for Huangfu Jingchen, Huangfu Jing died unjustly, it was all a mix-up, wasn’t it?

The Emperor’s eyes passed over Huangfu Jingchen, who was innocent, merely retreating and not engaging in the conflict. Therefore, he stood righteous, but Huangfu Hanyu was infuriated to the point of combustion; if looks could kill, he would have slain Huangfu Jingchen a thousand times over.

The Emperor’s sharp reprimand brought Hanyu back to his senses, realizing his earlier impulse was unrestrained anger.

He restrained himself, though the anger inside was still simmering, and his face no longer bore the previous menacing ferocity, but his eyes remained blood-red.

Prince Li, supporting the Emperor, suddenly said: ”Father, there is something suspicious about this!”

The Emperor looked at him.

Prince Li said: ”Prince Cheng’s Heir has been to the palace before, yet the palace maid never acted. Why did she do it now? Did she never seek revenge before, or did she not know who Prince Cheng’s Heir was before? If she did not know earlier, why did she know now? Why did she choose this precise moment? Who told her the truth? These are all suspicious points! After all, smart people often fall prey to their own schemes! If someone with ill intentions arranged this, such a person must not be forgiven. Otherwise, who knows what future heinous acts against human decency they might commit!”

His consort was confined and fined; most importantly, she lost face.

If it was merely an accident, it could be left as such, but what if someone orchestrated it?

Prince Li didn’t believe it was an accident.

In the Imperial Palace, anything is possible. The supposed accident was just a cover-up for ulterior motives.

He suspected the Empress and Prince Liang of deliberately stirring conflict for multiple gains.

He also found the Crown Prince very suspicious.
