Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2157: Chapter 2166: Maybe I Really Was Overthinking It

Olivia Lewis had been talking to Emily Goldsmith for quite a while, and noticed that Enna Clark was still staring in the direction the car had just driven off. She couldn’t help but pat her, ”Enna, what are you looking at?”

Enna Clark retracted her gaze, ”...nothing.”

Olivia Lewis gave her a once-over and asked, ”You’re not still thinking about what happened just now, are you?”

Enna Clark remained silent, ”...”

”You really are still thinking about it.” Olivia Lewis saw she was indeed still dwelling on the incident. She clutched Enna’s arm reassuringly, ”Don’t worry about it, it’s probably just me overthinking. Maybe they were just picking up a friend, and we happened to cross paths at the same time. Or maybe I mistook the cars for the same one when they’re actually different.”

She initially suspected someone might be following them, but the foreign couple who walked past the car looked quite natural, as if the man was simply waiting for the woman to return after buying water.

Olivia naturally dispelled her doubts.

After all, there aren’t that many stalkers. It might just be her professional sensitivity from being followed by paparazzi so much, making her suspicious of everything.

”Relax, the car has driven away, hasn’t it? Stop overthinking it, just pretend I didn’t say anything earlier. Had I known you’d be so bothered, I wouldn’t have mentioned it.”

It was merely a misunderstanding, and Enna was unnecessarily worried because of her.

Olivia silently resolved not to be so startling next time.

Enna Clark gradually relaxed under Olivia’s persuasion, ”Hmm, I got it. I just feel something strange.”

”What’s the feeling?”

”Just when you mentioned the car, my heart skipped a beat. Even though the car has already driven away, I still feel it’s odd, yet I can’t pinpoint why.”

Olivia saw that Enna hadn’t let this go, and tapped her arm, smiling brightly, ”There’s nothing to be weirded out by. We probably just coincidentally ran into a foreign couple. It’s very normal. The guy drove to pick up the girl. Even if it was the same car both times, it can be explained. The first time we encountered the car in the City Center, he might have been buying a gift for his girlfriend. Running into them here is him picking up someone after buying the gift.”

Enna Clark still furrowed her brows.

Olivia explained very logically; according to her reasoning, it made sense and there was no reason to be suspicious.

But Enna still felt something was amiss.

”Alright, stop thinking about it. You’re just overthinking because I spoke too startlingly earlier. Maybe it’s not even the same car.”

Olivia didn’t know how to soothe her, so she decided to involve Emily Goldsmith.

”Emily, don’t you think so?”

Emily Goldsmith promptly nodded, ”Yeah, I think so too. Ms. Clark, don’t overthink and stress yourself out.”

With both of them saying this, Enna Clark felt she couldn’t keep expressing concern over this little episode. Although she continued to feel uneasy, she didn’t voice it further. Nodding, she said, ”Maybe I’m just overthinking. It’s nothing, I’ll go check on Bobby.”

”Go ahead.” Olivia Lewis saw she wasn’t hung up on the matter anymore and waved her away.

Enna Clark ordered an orange juice ice drink, carried the beverage, and walked towards the beautiful young boy who shone brighter than the sun on the picturesque beach—

”Baby.”

The attractive young boy, who had been watching the local artist intently, turned his head and saw her, softly acknowledging with a sound.
