Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1899: Chapter 1909: The Gap in Emotional Intelligence

Bobby had been eavesdropping ever since he heard the secretary being instructed.

He was worried that the Dubious Man wouldn’t take him along, but he finally felt relieved.

While closing the iPad, he climbed off the sofa and asked, ”Isn’t Gigi going?”

”Your Grand Uncle said he would take her back to Country T; Grandma misses her.”

Bobby put on his own shoes without any special emotion upon hearing this, ”Oh.”

What he was really thinking was that it was better if the little fool didn’t go, so he could focus on playing with Enna.

However, Baron Lawrence interpreted it as him feeling lost for not being missed by Grandma.

Baron had no expertise in dealing with kids, and the men of the Lawrence Family weren’t the nurturing and affectionate kind. In his childhood memories, there were only orders and commands. Comfort was something he never experienced.

He furrowed his brows, thought for a while, and said, ”Your Grandpa misses you too. When you come back, I’ll take you to see him.”

”...” Bobby looked up blankly, his eyes showing confusion.

Did Grandpa miss him?

How did the Dubious Man know? Grandpa’s personality would never lead him to tell the Dubious Man something like this. Besides, he just talked to Grandpa on the phone yesterday, so he shouldn’t miss him that quickly. Does that mean the Dubious Man is lying?

The question is, why would he say such a lie for no reason?

It’s no wonder Bobby couldn’t understand Baron Lawrence’s train of thought, as the emotional intelligence of the two wasn’t even in the same league. If Bobby were to comfort someone, he could certainly come up with a better, more subtle way rather than making such a nonsensical statement.

So Bobby didn’t realize that Baron Lawrence was trying to comfort him!

”Okay, when I come back, I’ll go play with Grandpa.” Although he didn’t catch on, he still politely responded.

Baron was satisfied, feeling that he had successfully comforted Bobby’s little injured heart, and in a pretty good mood, he explained, ”Uncle Adam got hurt, we need to take a trip to Linton City to see him.”

Bobby really wanted to say, does it take five days just to see him? But smartly, he didn’t expose Baron’s words because he also missed his woman and going to Linton City to see her made him happier than anyone else.

”Uncle Adam got hurt? What kind of injury?”

”Car accident.”

Bobby thought of Olivia and frowned, finally paying some attention and asked, ”Is it serious? Does Aunt Olivia know?”

”She knows, she’s at the hospital.”

”Oh.”

Bobby immediately understood. This way, it seemed that scheming Uncle Adam had planned it right with Aunt Olivia. Whether the car accident was an accident or not didn’t matter; Aunt Olivia wouldn’t be able to leave anytime soon.

He pursed his lips and silently mourned for Aunt Olivia for two minutes, deciding that when they reached the hospital, he had to check whether Adam was really injured or just pretending to trick them.

No matter what, Aunt Olivia helped him and his woman a lot when Enna was at her poorest, never looking down on his woman for having him as a burden, bought him toys, took him places to play, and even helped his woman find work... In short, he really liked Aunt Olivia, and if he really had to choose a side, he would definitely stand by Aunt Olivia.

As for Uncle Adam...

He’s just like the Dubious Man, can only come after Enna.

Adam Sinclair had no idea that far away Bobby had already started plotting against him. Still in his dreams, he had solved Olivia’s emotional knots, and they were happily living together...
