Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1884: Chapter 1894: Olivia Blows Up

The medical staff had already begun to bustle around without her needing to say anything.

”Quickly, quickly! The patient has fainted from blood loss!”

”Surgery, prepare for surgery immediately!”

”But the patient’s family hasn’t arrived. We can’t perform the surgery without someone signing the consent form.”

”Where is the patient’s family?”

Adam Sinclair’s secretary quickly said, ”I’ve already contacted them. They should be here any moment now.”

The operating room was in chaos.

At this moment, the nurse being grabbed by Olivia Lewis gently tapped her hand and said, ”Ms. Lewis, the surgery is about to start soon. Could you please step outside?”

Olivia Lewis’s fingers curled tightly, biting her lower lip hard, as she looked at her and asked, ”Can I sign the consent form?”

”What?” The nurse was startled for a moment, then realized, ”What is your relationship with the patient? If you’re not his spouse, I’m sorry, but you won’t be able to sign.”

Olivia Lewis’s expression suddenly dimmed, her lips tightened further. Holding onto her sleeve, she nearly pleaded, ”No, but we used to be...”

Before she could finish, the nurse resolutely pulled her hand away and said in a businesslike manner, ”I’m sorry Ms. Lewis, the Hospital has a policy that only a direct relative of the patient can sign.”

Direct relative, meaning that only Adam Sinclair’s wife was eligible to sign.

Olivia Lewis’s shoulders had already slumped, and her eyes wandered to the patient’s bleeding fingers on the hospital bed. For some reason, her heart felt as if it was being cut repeatedly with a dull knife.

It seemed as though she had finally reached her breaking point. She took a deep breath, suddenly lifted her head, picked up a nearby cup, and smashed it with a loud bang!

”Smash!”

The sound of breaking glass was crisp and clear.

The noisy operating room suddenly quieted down. Everyone turned their heads to look at her.

Olivia Lewis’s expression was unpredictable. She pointed directly at the man who was obviously the chief surgeon, decisively demanding, ”What’s there to argue about! Start the surgery now!”

”What are you waiting for the family for? Can his condition wait? Are you blind, can’t you see the wound continuously bleeding? Even if it were a pig lying here, it would have run out of blood with all the time you spend arguing, let alone a living person!”

”Do you know who he is? Didn’t he tell you who he is?” She turned her head to look at the secretary and frowned, ”Didn’t you tell them who your boss is?”

”...I.” The secretary was suddenly asked and was momentarily stunned.

Olivia Lewis couldn’t be bothered with him, turned her head, and her fierce eyes swept over everyone in the operating room, bluntly saying, ”Let me tell you! He has hundreds of millions waiting for him to inherit at home, and his mother only gave birth to one son. Do you think his mother wouldn’t sign the consent?”

She almost said there was a throne at Adam Sinclair’s home waiting for him to inherit.

Wasn’t there a throne?

If not, then why in this day and age are family backgrounds still a factor in relationships?

”Unless his mom was kicked in the head by a donkey, she wouldn’t refuse to sign! Hurry with the surgery, if a signature is absolutely necessary, then I’ll sign! If any accident happens, just say I coerced you into performing the surgery, I will bear all the consequences!”

”Olivia...” Enna Clark didn’t expect her to say such things and was a bit worried.

With her outburst, the operating room fell silent, and Adam Sinclair’s secretary quickly added, ”Doctors, don’t waste time. Our madam is already on the way and will be here shortly. Quickly, perform the surgery for the President.”
