Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1878: Chapter 1888: I Was Personally Invited by Ms. Prada

Enna Clark had seen thick-skinned people before, but never someone as thick-skinned as Miranda Lewis. However, she wasn’t worried that Mrs. Hadley would agree with Miranda because she knew that they were looking for someone suitable, not just anyone.

Olivia Lewis had real talent and wasn’t entirely relying on her recommendation!

”Sorry, I already have someone in mind.”

”Mrs. Hadley, I...”

At that moment, a staff member approached her, checked an iPad, then bent down and politely said to her, ”Excuse me, guest. The show is starting in five minutes. Could you please return to your seat?”

Miranda Lewis felt as if she’d been blatantly slapped in the face. Embarrassed and awkward, she said, ”I was personally invited by Ms. Prada. I want to sit here.”

”I’m sorry, but seating for the show was arranged earlier. Your seat is not here,” the staff member repeated impassively.

Miranda gritted her teeth and emphasized once more, ”I was personally invited by Ms. Prada, and the invitation was handed to me by her!”

Her implication was that her relationship with Prada was special, and she should receive special treatment and sit in the front row.

The foreign staff member, not understanding, looked at her and dutifully said, ”I’m sorry, I don’t know who gave you your invitation, but seating for the show was pre-arranged. This isn’t your seat. Could you please return to your place?”

The show was about to start, and most guests were already seated.

Miranda’s stubbornness attracted a lot of attention, and people were looking at her in astonishment.

Miranda heard someone say, ”Who is she? When did someone like this sneak into the Panda annual show? Wow, look at what she’s wearing, it’s last year’s collection. Haha, it’s the first time I’ve seen someone wear last year’s Panda collection to the big show. That dress isn’t even a runway version. Haha, what an embarrassment. I wouldn’t wear it if it weren’t this year’s version! And she has the nerve to stay in the front row. If I were her, I’d find a hole to hide in.”

”A small-time star, trying to make a name for herself. Someone of her lowest tier line would be overjoyed to borrow last year’s designs. She probably thinks she looks pretty. And with so much media present today, this is her rare chance to sneak in, she definitely wants to make the most of it.”

”Hmph! A country bumpkin in the big city garden! Low-class! I bet she’s never been to a top-tier show, yet she wants to rely on her thick skin to squeeze into the front row. What a joke! I told you, these lowest tier small-time stars are the thickest-skinned. And did you hear her earlier saying Ms. Prada invited her personally? As if!”

Listening to the cold sarcasm from all sides, Miranda Lewis felt like she was sitting on pins and needles. After a moment of fidgeting, she couldn’t take it anymore and, urged by staff, awkwardly returned to her assigned seat.

Once she left, Olivia Lewis furrowed her brow, leaned towards Enna Clark, and whispered, ”Enna, do you think you and she look a bit alike? Strange, you don’t have any blood relation, right?”

But not exactly the same. Enna Clark’s skin was fairer, looking very much like a college student. Miranda, on the other hand, though her features were more refined, wore heavy makeup, giving her a garish aura. Just at a glance, they seemed a bit similar.
