Bang!

The light beam kept moving forward and charged straight into the fog.

There was a soft sound.

Specks of golden starlight flew out of the fog.

Pierce had no time to think. He quickly looked at the fog.

He hoped to obtain some information through his golden hint system.

Tap! Tap!

The world fell into silence.

The lightning and thunder in the sky seemed to be afraid and dissipated.

In the silence, only the sound of approaching footsteps could be heard.

A level 6 creature?

Pierce thought quietly.

At this moment, the countdown for the end of the infinite invasion began.

10… 9… 8…

The creature in the fog seemed to sense the flow of time and was slightly stunned.

The footsteps gradually quickened. It had already turned into a run.

Unknown was often the source of fear.

Pierce ordered an arrow tower to fire.

Bang!

They seemed to have struck something, but the footsteps did not slow down.

Instead, it became faster and faster.

3… 2…

Whoosh!

Bang!

As the countdown ended, there was no more sound of running.

However, the arrow that was shot out was returned back.

It was nailed to the city wall, with only the fletching of the arrow revealed outside.

Everyone heaved a sigh of relief.

However, Vivier’s eyes flickered. No one knew what she was thinking.

Pierce comforted her.

“It’s just a level six creature. As long as you step into level 5, I have a way to evolve you to level 6! There will be nothing to fear then.”

Pierce was also looking forward to that day.

Unfortunately, he did not know when Vivier would be able to evolve into a level 5 creature.

At that moment, the hint appeared in Pierce’s vision in red font.

[One level 6 creature and three level 5 creatures detected. Please do not act rashly. That will only increase useless casualties. Please wait patiently for the countdown to end!]

Against such a creature, he could only wait for death?

This was not like facing the eight-headed serpent’s main body. The pressure from the eight-headed serpent was enough to suffocate them, while this level 6 creature made them feel an indescribable fear.

The live-stream was also ignited by this monster.

“What the hell was in the fog? It made me feel fear even through the screen…”

“Damn, that was so scary. I thought I was going to die.”

“Earlier, I noticed Miss Vivier wanting to kill the giants immediately. Thinking of it now, I feel a lingering fear.”

“Yeah, Pierce is the only one from Country M. If he’s killed, it is basically GG.”

“Damn it, how can Miss Vivier be soft-hearted at the most crucial moment?”

“Damn you, do you want our Country M to be destroyed?!”

“I am reporting him. We have a spy here!”

“…”

Even the audience behind the screen was terrified of the monster in the fog. They could not imagine the fear that Pierce, who was facing the monster, must have felt.

If he had really cleared the seventh round and blindly started the eighth round, he would have been doomed.

It would be the end of Country M’s journey in this survival game.

Everyone felt like they had just survived a disaster.

—————

On Pierce’s side.

Vivier was watching television in the living room.

Griffin was in charge of cleaning the room.

Mel was training her spiritual power control.

Pierce lay on the sofa and looked at his ranking list.

There were a total of seven rankings. Pierce alone took first place on these seven rankings.

And the other countries.

After reaching the fourth wave, they all disappeared. They had either fought a war of attrition or were wiped out.

In short, Pierce was the only one on the later ranking list.

This undoubtedly shocked the whole world.

All the topics in the livestream channels were about Pierce.

A single person had cleared seven waves of monsters.

Apart from reverence, they had no other emotion.

He was simply too strong to the point of being inhuman.

The city of Country M was brightly lit.

After the last invasion, the dark clouds in the sky dispersed, and the fog gradually dissipated.

The moon hung high in the sky again.

After the Infinite Invasion mode ended, it was already midnight.

Fatigue swept through Pierce’s body. He lay on the sofa and yawned.

He prepared to take a shower and sleep. He had not slept for two days.

Wasn’t this making things too difficult for a human like him?

Just as Pierce was about to get up and go to the bathroom.

The rewards from the Tower Defense world came.

[This Infinite Invasion lasted 48 hours!]

[According to the rules of this game, the cities that were destroyed will be repaired.]

[There is no punishment]

[There are no relevant rules to resurrect the dead contestants. My condolences!]

[The overall ranking is about to be announced!]

As soon as the notifications arrived, a heated discussion broke out in the world chat.

[Country E: Kor]: “F*ck, why are you so ruthless? Our Country E has suffered severe casualties this time.”

[Country I: Dune]: “I protest too. I strongly request compensation!”

[Country N: Lashawi]: “Compensation my ass. Are you courting death by protesting against the Tower Defense!”

[Country E: Flu]: “Damn, our Country E has no objections. People of Country I, speak clearly!”

[…]

Pierce did not feel like going through the conversation in the world chat.

It was just a war of words.

It was extremely boring.

Everyone was waiting for the rankings to be released.

As for the first place, a name had already appeared in the hearts of the players from the various countries.

That was Pierce.

Most of the contestants smiled helplessly.

After all, Pierce’s strength was obvious, so they had to accept it even if they did not want to.

[The Infinite Invasion Rewards are announced!]

[First place: Pierce from Country M, receives a mysterious box, 12,000 unique points, 40,000 Tower Defense points]

[Second place: Country R Team, receives 2000 unique points and 4,000 Tower Defense points.]

[Third place: Country G Team, receives 2000 unique points and 2,800 Tower Defense points.]

[…]

In Country R.

“I refuse to accept this. Why is the difference between first and second place so great!?!?”

“Thousands of unique points, ten thousand Tower Defense points…”

“Why is the distribution like this!?”

“…”

Pierce, who was about to go take a shower, looked at the box in his hand and fell into thought…
