Although the old man looked very old, his voice was stentorian like a large bell.

“We don’t have the option to reselect participants for the Tower Defense. All we can do is place our hopes on him.”

Everyone in the conference room looked solemn.

They naturally knew everything about their own country.

After the failure in the previous Tower Defense game, Country M could no longer afford to lose.

If Pierce died, Country M would cease to exist!

Before the game started, they had made many preparations for the Tower Defense.

But now, there was no use for any of them.

It was because there was an error in the participant selection in the Tower Defense Survival.

Even the audience in the live broadcast room could guess why Pierce’s city was in the plains.

It was nothing more than compensation from the game.

However, a slightly better environment was completely useless when only one person was guarding the country.

At this moment.

News that only one person from Country M was participating in the Tower Defense spread.

The entire world learned about the tragic state of Country M.

Some people even changed their nationality overnight, bought plane tickets, and fled overseas.

It was as if Country M was filled with poisonous gas, and the people refused to stay a second longer.

Even some of the posts online were flaming Pierce.

The Tower Defense had made an error in the number of participants, so they had nowhere to vent their frustration other than on the only participant.

The country was about to perish, and human nature was revealed at this moment.

It was expressed incisively.

“I’ve asked around. There are at least seven special forces soldiers among Blossoms Country’s participants. It should be safer there!”

“Tsk, I’ve already brought my family to the Eagle Country.”

“Stop talking, I’ll go buy the tickets now!”

“In the future, this place will be filled with monsters!”

…

The heated discussion continued, and Country M responded to this.

Anyone who leaves the country during the Tower Defense would never be accepted back!

————

In the Tower Defense world.

Pierce had dug out the plain stone.

He strolled into the city.

In the huge city, there were a few crossbow launchers on the city gate.

There was not a single soldier.

Compared to other countries, it seemed very desolate.

Looking at the desolate city, the people in the livestream couldn’t help but start discussing again.

“What a nice place. But why is there only one person?!”

“Damn, can I join? I want to go!”

“Exactly, this is too unfair!”

“Are you talking about fairness with an existence that opened up another dimension?”

“T_T”

“Pierce is a real man.”

Pierce shook his head helplessly when he saw the comments flying around.

This was truly a scam.

How could it be so easy for him to guard the city alone?

[Haven’t you thought of installing the stone on the arrow tower?]

Install it on the arrow tower??

Just this stone?!

Pierce glanced at the arrow towers mounted high above the walls, his expression thoughtful.

If he followed the instructions, he would not be wrong.

Although he had never seen a stone being pressed in Tower Defense games before.

With that thought in mind, Pierce placed the stone on an arrow tower under the numb expressions of the people in the live stream.

The stone had barely touched the arrow tower when a voice spoke in Pierce’s mind.

[Energy Stone discovered, arrow tower discovered. Do you want to unlock the new formula?]

New formula?

Pierce was taken aback. Then he said quickly:

“Unlock the new formula!”

[Energy Stone+Defensive Arrow Tower = Energy Arrow Tower]

Energy Arrow Tower?

He had never heard of such a thing in the Tower Defense games before.

Pierce’s face lit up.

As expected, only he could see the golden hints.

However, in the broadcast room.

“What is he doing?”

“He’s giving up on himself. If it were me, I wouldn’t be able to take it either!”

“Tsk, even so, we can’t use rocks to block the next monster!”

“Blossoms Country has already begun building a wooden fence. The arrow towers are also loaded.”

“It’s the same for White Elephant Country. F*ck, aren’t you bullying us?”

“The more I think about it, the angrier I get. Forget it, watching the livestream makes my chest feel stuffy.”

“I won’t watch anymore. I’ll just wait for the monsters to invade. I’ll live and die with the country.”

While the live-stream discussion went on, in the conference room.

The live stream about Pierce was projected on the screen.

His every move was noticed by the higher-ups of Country M.

When they saw Pierce preparing to place the stone on the arrow tower, everyone’s mood became even heavier.

Pierce was under too much pressure.

Whether Country M could survive on the Planet Blue in the future depended entirely on Pierce.

“The pressure is too great…”

It wasn’t just Pierce who was stressed. Even their hearts were heavy.

In the Tower Defense Survival game, a hundred people might not be able to defend the city well under the attack of a group of unknown creatures.

Not to mention Country M which only had one participant.

They might really not be able to take it this time!

Every time in the Tower Defense Survival, unknown creatures would appear at random.

Take the previous Tower Defense Survival for example.

The unlucky Country M met an ultimate creature in the first round.

There were countless casualties in the early stages, not to mention the later stages of development.

They could not develop at all.

Everyone stared at the screen.

They saw Pierce pick up the stone and look thoughtfully at the arrow tower.

He seemed to be thinking about something.

In Pierce’s vision.

A combination of golden characters floated in the air.

It was the hints that had been helping him ever since he came to the Tower Defense world.

[The energy stone contains the fire element. It can be fused with the Tower Defense arrow tower and assembled into a fire elemental arrow tower.]

In Pierce’s memory.

Ever since the Tower Defense Survival came into this world, people had always relied on the resources in the city to resist the invasion of creatures.

In this world full of monsters, how could they dare to explore this unknown territory?

This led to the fact that no special arrow towers had ever appeared in Pierce’s memory.

And now, no one would have thought that an ordinary stone in the forest could cause a change in the arrow tower.

Just as Pierce was about to merge the stone into the arrow tower.

The Tower Defense notification came!

[Countdown to Dimensional Creatures Invasion: 10… 9… 8…]

The audience watching the live broadcast was filled with despair.

As comments flashed by the screens rapidly, black mist spread in the forest.

Hoarse and deafening growls sounded from the black mist.

[Dimensional Creatures Invasion! Begin!]

Following that,

One by one, rotten humanoid creatures wrapped in black vines emerged from the black mist.

They were mutated zombies!

During the last Tower Defense Survival, Country M was eventually conquered by such creatures.

Everyone remembered it clearly.

Just as the citizens of Country M were about to break down.

A golden text appeared before Pierce’s eyes.

[Zombies surrounded by vines? Haven’t you realized that they are afraid of sunlight and flames…]
