The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1397: Do Not Be Courageous

As soon as blood was drawn from Evelyn, the tension turned from choking into grim.

It was akin to a bomb that was set to explode within these walls.

Rindan, the Werewolf who mistakenly wound the Luna of the Silverstar Pack, trembled under the pressure. He felt crushed by the gaze Adhara and Gistella gave him, but that was not the only thing that froze his blood at this moment.

His ears perked, grasping a very distant howl that a normal person couldnʼt hear.

Being of Werewolf lineage, he was blessed with sharp senses.

But at this moment, his senses were going against him.

Grasping the distant howl—as if it had rand directly beside his ears, Rindanʼs face paled, and his vision blurred into crimson—a harrowing illusion born from the overwhelming killing intent locked onto him, radiating from the entity behind the howl.

Soon, another came—this time more guttural and raw.

”Princess, I didnʼt mean to!” Rindan exclaimed, seeking help from Princess Selene.

”Shouldnʼt you say that to me?” Evelyn intervened before her head slowly tilted at Rindan.

She gave no time for the princess to answer

Looking directly at Rindanʼs eyes with a strong gaze and unsettling gaze, Evelynʼs lips curved into a wicked smile, ”I assure you, Alpha Prime... you will find me much, much more—sensible in terms of accepting an apology than the Alpha”

Despite the warning, Rindanʼs lips were closed shut—too prideful to apologize.

Being in the presence of the other Alpha Primes, the words were too hard for him to utter.

Naturally, the two other Alpha Primes who made a move on Evelyn stepped away.

Both of them were also doing this to pressure the Luna, not hurt her.

Princess Seleneʼs heart was thumping inside her chest, she didnʼt know what she should say or do at this moment. Not to mention, her assumption was also spot on—the Luna was fierce—she wasnʼt someone who could be underestimated.

It was clear that she was used to this kind of thing, her background must be from nobles.

”We came here in peace...” Evelyn tilted her head down, sighing deeply. ”We came here as a courtesy gesture and this is how weʼre treated. I have to say, Iʼm very disappointed, to think that esteemed individuals of the kingdom, canʼt even hold back—for their own people. I pity your people”

”You have shown no respect for us, you came here in bad faith” Zeul answered.

Once again, Evelyn turned toward Zeul—this time, she made sure to remember his face.

”Bad faith...? Have I asked you to bow before me, as you should?” Evelyn asked in a taunting manner. ”Have I not allowed you to use any title to address me? Both my Female Alpha—and my Beta even transformed before meeting you, and you say I came in bad faith?”

”Enough, this should not escalate!” Princess Selene stood up, taking control of the room.

Reclaiming back the power over the room, she fixed her gaze back at Evelyn.

”Say what you need to say, and begone” She added.

Upon hearing this, Evelyn nodded, ”It was my intention all along to come here and talk—but... actions will always have consequences and I refused to speak until consequences have been delivered. Adhara...”

”No!” Princess Selene commanded but she was too late.

Adhara pivoted away from the Alpha Prime with the Blood Moon King Mark.

Fueled by the White Omicronʼs energy, her eyes glowed brilliantly, blinding everyone around.

Swish!

Knowing that she possessed the Anti-Werewolf bloodline—the Alpha Primes as well as the princess covered their eyes, and regulated their kingly energy to protect themselves. All of them protected themselves.

Along the moment, screams and wails of pain echoed inside this chamber.

Once the light receded, Princess Selene and the Alpha Primes slowly opened their eyes.

Blood littered the floor of the room, the cold stone that was polished every day to ensure the princess was content was now drenched with the blood of her own kind. Standing straight at the center was none other than the Female Alpha herself.

Instead of making a move on Rindan, she went to other targets instead.

Adhara killed every single Beta in that moment of blindness earlier.

Now, the Betas—belonging to the Alpha Primes in this very room, were sprawled on the floor, they were bleeding from every orifice—but each had one critical wound that ended them in a matter of seconds.

Seeing this, Princess Seleneʼs eyes turned red in rage, ʼThis has gone long enough! It doesnʼt matter if the Royal Black Prince was outside—this is going too far! Instead of a courtesy visit, this is more like an oppression!ʼ

It was true that the Alpha Primes showed little to no respect.

But shedding blood at her presence, thatʼs unacceptable.

”How dare you spill blood in my castle!”

”Go on...”

Stopped mid-track, Princess Selene turned to Evelyn—looking at her warningly.

”Go on and attack us, princess,” Evelyn continued, she showed no sign of unease—from the uncertainty throughout this meeting. She only wore that calm look, as if everything wouldnʼt be able, to hurt her. ”Werewolves are known to be unfearful of death, with flames—coursing through their veins, and very hard to kill. You have shown that by surviving the Angels—that were attacking the Bloodstone Crater”

As she said that, Evelyn spread her arms a little—exposing her torso.

”Do you want to show it again? See if you can survive this one too?” She asked hauntingly.

Upon hearing this, Princess Selene gritted her teeth.

Her hands were tied—a battle of strength wouldnʼt go her way, the Scarlet Banes Kingdom was on the brink of being taken over, and she knew that. If she wanted to keep, the legacy from the past, she needed to achieve another path of victory.

One that doesnʼt involve blood or else the kingdom would be erased from the world.

”Do not be courageous, princess,” Evelyn continued, squinting her eyes. ”step away”

Despite being reluctant—humiliated in front of the Alpha Primes, Princess Selene bit down on her lips, and turned around to sit back down on her throne. Attacking the Silverstar Pack now would only seal her fate.

Knowing how strong the Royal Black Prince was, she canʼt let her emotions win.

”Good, now youʼre listening,” Evelyn commented and gave the signal to Gistella.

Once she received that signal—Gistella turned to the Alpha Prime she was pinning down and stabbed her claws into his chin from below. He couldnʼt even grunt as Gistella grabbed ahold of the Alpha Primeʼs tongue and ripped it from his mouth.

All of the Alpha Primes could only watch this with a grim look, the same as Princess Selene.

”Just tell us what you wanted to say, Luna,” Princess Selene demanded.

Allowing the Silverstar Pack, in her castle longer—would only invite more trouble, her Alpha Primes wouldnʼt be able to hold back their fury much longer, she needed to end this now or risk completely offending the Royal Black Prince.

Ignoring the painful grunts from the Alpha Prime, Evelyn fixed her gaze ahead again.

”As I asked, what is your stance if the Scarlet Banes Kingdom joins my empire?”

”Unacceptable, the prince is not even a real Werewolf. We canʼt accept him as a ruler”

”An ally?”

”We donʼt make allies with an oppressor”

”Hmm...”

Evelyn placed both hands behind her before she began circling the room slowly.

Her gaze swept across the other Alpha Primes, sitting on their own respective elevated seat, tense from the situation. In a saddened tone, Evelyn started, ”My Alpha started—as a normal Human living in a normal city and in a normal house with a family of three. He was young and happy, beloved by his parents—what a wonderful life he had back then...”

It was a sudden change of topic and the listeners were puzzled as to where this was going.

But nevertheless, they had no choice but to listen.

”One day, the Supernaturals broke the seal and invaded the world. His home was infiltrated, and his beloved parents who showered him with nothing but love were killed right in front of his eyes” Evelyn turned to an Alpha Prime on her side. ”Do you know the creature who killed his parents? Can you guess?”

Upon hearing this, the Alpha Prime looked around uneasily.

”A Werewolf...?” He finally guessed.

”Yes,” Evelyn smiled. ”A Werewolf killed his parents, and ever since, he is very sensitive when it comes to the safety of those dear to him. Who would not, am I right?” She asked again, her eyes containing melancholy.

None of them could refute Evelynʼs words.

Having lived for so long—these Alpha Primes also knew the loss of a loved one.

It was painful and no matter how much they prepared, the pain wouldnʼt lessen.

One way or another, they also have the same aspect as Rex.

Just then, Evelyn raised two fingers—as she turned to look at the Alpha Primes one by one.

”In the span of his ascension to power, there are two forces that tested him,” Evelyn erected her index finger. ”First—the Humans tested him, by trying to kill his foster parents—and as a result, millions of lives were killed. Even now, his rampage still echoes in the Humanʼs capital city”

She then lifted her middle finger, ”Second, it was the Fifthborn...”

As soon as the Fifthborn was mentioned, the Alpha Primes became more focused.

Maybe the act of defeating the Fifthborn wouldnʼt allow Rex to hold the entire world, as there are stronger beings than the Fifthborn in the past but even then, it was still a remarkable feat—he was the first one to kill an Executorr in history.

In the past, even when the Origins were around—the Executors were invincible.

Of course, a large part of their ʼunkillableʼ status was because of their creator.

And even though the First Human Emperor was no more now—it was still an incredible feat.

”Someone who was deemed invincible in your era, wielding the might of a bygone age—and thousands of years of cultivation in pursuit of power,” Evelyn snapped her finger—creating a resonant crack. ”Gone—just like that. My Alpha handled him, achieving the impossible”

Her message was loud and clear.

As soon as she said that, the entire legacy of the Werewolves flashed across their minds.

All of the Alpha Primes knew what would happen if they refused the Clarentium Empire.

Preparing for this moment, Evelyn reached into her pocket and took out a handful of dirt.

She then showed the dirt on her open palm, leaned forward, and blew at it—causing the dirt to roll off her fingers and fall to the ground, ”All thatʼs left of him was his body—rotten inside the earth. It is a tragedy...”

Evelyn was somber, it was as if she was mourning the Fifthbornʼs death.

”And I donʼt want another tragedy to happen,” She added, casting her gaze on the princess.

”My aim for coming here is this,” Stopping at her original position, Evelyn turned to face the princess again before pointing at her. ”I donʼt want you to make the wrong decision. We did not ask for much so think carefully, itʼs time to make your decision”

Once she said that, Evelyn straightened her posture and nodded elegantly.

Paying her respect, she then turned around and headed for the door.

She didnʼt pay any heed to the contemplating faces of the Alpha Primes and Princess Selene.

Gistella followed from behind, shaking her hand to get rid of the blood.

On the other hand, Adhara scowled at the entire room before smiring devilishly.

”Consequences...” She muttered before turning around to leave.

Just from that alone, the Alpha Primes knew that she was directing it at the dead Betas.

As the Female Alpha—she couldnʼt allow someone to hurt the Luna without punishment.

”In two days time, we will meet at the capital city,” Evelyn said as she trotted toward the exit. ”By then, I hope all of you had made the right choice. Ponder carefully—your people deserve the best for them”

Upon saying that, the there figures made a turn and disappeared onto the corridor.

Leaving the Alpha Primes and Princess Selene in a mess.
