The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1358: I Understand It Now!

Nobody messed with the Werewolves during the full moon, it was a well-known fact that was heeded by many. Be it the powerful Demons with their immortal army—the Undead with their power of the dead, the Vampires, the Shapeshifters—everyone respected the full moon.

It doesnʼt matter how strong but the Werewolves are invincible during the full moon.

Anyone who dared to clash against them would suffer immense casualties.

Simply put, the power of the full moon made the Werewolves unpredictable and horrifying.

Across all types of full moons, each one of them made Werewolves stronger and very hard to kill. Killing Werewolves are already hard enough, the strong ones even have regeneration that goes through the influence of silver.

Coupled with the full moon, the turnover was simply too much for everyone to handle.

Killing a single Werewolf would probably need three to five of the same realm.

But the mutated animals didnʼt know that.

Most came from the new era—they were normal animals once that were mutated by mana to become monsters. Ninety-nine percent of them, were not even that old, they donʼt know this well-known fact about Werewolves.

Although most mutated animals in general got stronger at night, it wasnʼt enough.

Compared to a Werewolfʼs increase in power, theirs was not as strong.

Now, however, they were beginning to realize that.

”Come at me, donʼt be scared now!” Rex screamed, his insanity gave a clear display—of his Werewolf side. He was taunting Voltara as his wounds, even the severe ones healed rapidly in the blink of an eye.

Moments earlier, Rex felt the intensity of Voltara and Barssikʼs attacks was increasing.

It was the moment their animal brains realized that Rex was getting stronger.

Both of them attacked him rigorously, knowing full well that it was either Rex died before he could get strong enough, or they died for attacking him. Even though the wilderness, taught them the art of a battle for survival, this still pounded their hearts.

Despite their fear, these two Order Beasts werenʼt ready to give up yet.

Hiss!!

Covering for Voltara—who was influenced by Rexʼs Nectar Blood moon ability, causing it an excruciating spiritual pain, Brassik slithered directly towards Rex with its maw wide open, it was aiming to mince Rex with its sharp, venomous fangs.

Rex roared back and charged ahead, swallowed by the eternal frenzy of the night.

He was confident in his strength so he aimed to collide head-on.

However, Brassik had another idea—it suddenly dove into the ground as if it were water right before colliding with Rex, avoiding the lethal charge. Rex stopped and wanted to pivot but he was greeted by Brassikʼs tail heading towards him.

Pah!

Like a whip, the rock tail lashed at him devastatingly.

Anyone who was not around Rexʼs strength would be crushed by such a powerful strike.

Rex was able to block it with his arms but both his right arm broke.

But with a simple concentration of moonlight energy—his right arm went back into place as if it hadnʼt been hurt, from the start. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Brassik baring its fangs again from behind.

Swoosh!

Swiping with full force, Rex slapped Brassik with his claws, sending it crashing to the side.

In the process, his claws broke and he couldnʼt pierce Brassikʼs rock skin.

Just as its stats from earlier showcased, its endurance was incredible thanks to its affinity.

However—the power from the Demon Moon was still increasing—and it was only a matter of time until Rex broke its skin. Even then, he still has other things up his sleeves, ”Moon ability, Demonic Claws!”

Rex drifted like a shadow, his movement was fast, and his claws became bigger.

It also assumed a more glossy color that reflected the moonlight better.

Not stopping at that Rex cast another ability of his, the Honeyed Claws Moon Ability.

Golden aura seeped from his claw beds before coating his claws entirely, the power that was gathering in his claws was evident and he couldnʼt stop his lips from lifting into an agog smile—eager to see what his claws could do.

Swoosh!

Casting the Primordial Step skill, he reached Brassik before it could recover.

He leaped skyward before descending like a meteor, putting his all into swinging his arm.

Kaboom!!

Rexʼs crimson eyes looked at the point of impact as the ground around him collapsed, he was focusing on the stone skin—as Brassik squealed in pain. His eyes flashed when he saw that it was working, the golden aura oozed into the rock skin and melted it visibly.

He managed to melt and crack the rock skin on Brassikʼs head.

Glancing to the side, he saw Brassik swing its tail again to knock him out of the way.

But this time, Rex was ready, he now added his triple kingly energies from his King Mark to his claws—and swiped the incoming tail. Surprisingly the tail got split cleanly—Rexʼs claws were now slicing through like butter.

In quick succession, he bear-hugged Brassikʼs head hard.

Since his body was now massive, at least two times his original size, Rex was able to do that and lifted Brassik. He then suplexed Brassik to the ground behind him—cracking its skin and even shattering it completely.

Now he had immediate access to Brassikʼs inner skin.

If he could pierce his claws in there, he would hit the brain and Brassik would die.

However, that danger was also sensed by Brassik as it retaliated even fiercer.

Rex was pinning Brassikʼs head down, not allowing it to slither away but keeping it still was a difficult task. Its long body was twisting—and spinning—desperately trying to free its locked head so that it could recover.

Other than endurance, its other stats were far lesser.

Due to that, Rex was able to win this contest of raw strength.

As he did that, he continuously stabbed the side of its neck with his claws.

He wanted to reach the hole in Brassikʼs head, but the wiggle and twist made it hard for him to properly reach that place. Angered, Rex lifted its head and slammed it multiple times onto the ground.

Not an effective move, its bottom part was protected—this is more the push of his feral side.

Crack!

Dozens if not hundreds of rock snakes leaped from the surroundings and exploded into small needles, one snake—creating dozens of these small needles. On the other hand—there were also some that combined and turned into drilling, earth spikes.

Rex saw this attack—his strengthened senses and reflexes snuffed this attack easily.

Crash!

Not even needing to move from his spot, the earth needles and spikes shattered suddenly.

His clone in the cursed realm through the Damned Specter skill blocked the attack.

But casting the Damned Specter skill made him unfocused for a second.

And that second was used by Brassik, its tongue wrapping around Rexʼs ankle—and pulled it hard, causing him to stumble. Rex growled, as Brassik was able to use its body to wrap Rexʼs right arm in an anaconda choke, tightening rapidly.

In that instant, he felt his skin being stretched and his bones being shattered to pieces.

Not even needing more than three seconds, his right arm was crushed.

Rex gritted his teeth and used Brutal Impulse straight at Brassikʼs head, the impact was able to shoot through its head and pierced the ground—causing the ground to collapse into a big crater.

Since his power was now amplified, the Brutal Impulse moon ability was devastating.

So powerful that Brassikʼs head squelched with blood.

Despite managing to cripple Brassik, it wasnʼt only his right arm Brassik successfully hurt, his body was also injected with venom—that forced his veins to throb painfully. Going against an Order wasnʼt easy at all.

Not only their powers are exceptionally strong but they were also outside the box.

Rex couldnʼt sense the attack, he was only very attuned to actual energy, not this.

It felt like his veins were hardening rapidly, his blood could stop circulating at this rate.

However, he quickly used his kingly energies to dispel the venom, infusing his blood with a torrent of energy—and making the venom work a hundred times harder to do—what it was made to do.

Of course, it wasnʼt a permanent solution, Rex could feel his body screaming in pain.

But the concept of pain was something that he had accustomed to.

Even though he was a Lightning Elementalist who had perfect resistance to lighting attacks, he trusted that his body was able to endure more raw pain rather than extreme lighting that is how much he had forged his body in the furnace of pain.

Not to mention, on the night of the full moon, pain only made him angrier.

And the angrier he becomes, the stronger he becomes.

Roar!!

Raising his left hand he channeled everything that he had into it, red force, the Unholy Claws of the Reaper skill, Honeyed Claws—everything he had to the point that his arm was pulsing, from the inside.

It was risky, one wrong move, and his left arm wouldʼve exploded too.

But he managed to channel enough and struck down.

Under Rexʼs mercy, Brassik tried to retaliate but Rexʼs claws were merciless as it sliced its big head into three parts, killing it instantly. Despite its death, its body was still lashing out—from the warm nerves.

Rex was whipped by its tail and was planted on the other side of the crater he was in.

Nevertheless, the notification from the System made him cackle maniacally.

Iʼm brilliant but my brilliance came way too late!

He laughed aloud.

Feeling that there was no end to his power as if he was a bottomless pit of energy, Rex was completely infatuated with himself. He was resisting going on a rampage all this time, when he could have timed it right like this.

Keeping my sanity? For what? Iʼm not in hiding anymore!

Recalling that he wasnʼt back when he was in the Human territory, hiding out of fear—for his identity being found out, his laughs intensified. He has nothing to fear for this—there was no need for him to keep his sanity.

Even the System never really suggested him to keep his sanity and berserk stable.

It only said that to keep him from going on a rampage, that is what he needed to do.

Meaning, the System only responded to what he wanted but it wasnʼt necessarily right.

Just like when he first turned into a Werewolf, he went on a rampage in the forest and was able to grow quicker because of that. Rex climbed out of the hole he was in, his mind, was now as clear as day.

Unlike the other Werewolves, he had the System to detail out the full moonʼs effects.

He could use that information to create plans to make himself stronger.

Regardless of him going insane or not, the fact remains—when he went berserk, like this, he was way closer—to invincibility than his original self. All he needed to do was create a stage like this one to utilize his berserk side better.

Even two Knight-class Order Beasts werenʼt able to kill him in this state.

Both of them could wound him but his regeneration at this moment was too insane.

Severe wounds were healed in an instant, even his right arm was already healed to full now.

It was the right thing that he told Evelyn to stop controlling his sanity.

It was the right thing to tell Iris to prepare for this stage.

It was the right thing for him to let the full moon take over his body.

Maybe due to his background and his former hate for the Werewolves, he viewed this side of him as a burden—when in actuality, it was nothing more—than a blessing. Each time the vast sky blessed the world with a full moon, he gained one day to do anything he wanted.

Going berserk was not a burden, it was an opportunity—a weapon in his arsenal.

Realizing that, Rex grabbed his face with his hand and laughed even harder, ”Good...”

”I understand it now!” He exclaimed, announcing his newfound perspective.
