Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine

Chapter 825: Chapter 825: Work

Next, Su Yuanyuan took on several more tasks.

She didn’t mind at all; since she was here, it was for work. If there were truly nothing to do, she might want to reconsider.

After the meeting ended, Su Yuanyuan walked in front, with Secretary Xie following behind. She softly delegated some tasks.

”Yes.”

Su Yuanyuan had just sat down when she received a call. A foreign ambassador had arrived.

”Please take him to the conference room.”

She didn’t go immediately but finished reading the documents in her hand before leaving the office.

Upon entering the conference room, they saw the foreign ambassador complaining loudly.

The people there saw the two of them enter, assuming they were just secretaries or staff, so they continued speaking without restraint.

Su Yuanyuan sat down directly. ”If you’re so unwilling, then get out.”

As her words fell, the few foreigners and the translator in the conference room stopped, looking at Su Yuanyuan in shock.

Xie Fenglan stood behind Su Yuanyuan, ”This is our Minister Su.”

”First of all, let me make one thing clear: the decision to establish diplomatic relations was yours. Don’t act as if we’re begging you to come.

And since you’ve come here, you should know what you ought to do. Those who lack virtue to hold their position, that’s who you are, and I am well aware of the quality over there.”

Su Yuanyuan spoke in a foreign language, and the translator looked at her in surprise, not expecting such an outstanding leader from the country.

”Minister Su, is this your way of hospitality? I have come from afar to work, intending to enhance the friendship between our two countries for future mutual progress and development.”

”Hospitality is first for the guest. Can you even be considered guests? We can develop just the same without you. Mutual development is certainly best, but remember, it’s based on equality.

Don’t give me that condescending attitude.”

The conference room fell even quieter now.

Su Yuanyuan inwardly sneered, thinking anyone trying to be pretentious here is just dreaming.

”Also, I’ve reviewed your application. We do not approve it. We only process reasonable applications.”

After speaking, Su Yuanyuan stood up, smiling as she looked at the translator, this time speaking in the native language, ”If I find any mistakes connected to you, everyone involved will be removed. You will never be allowed to step into the country again in your lifetime.”

After speaking, she turned and left, with Xie Fenglan closely following behind, only she knew how excited she was, not even knowing which leg to step forward with.

Although she could only understand part of the conversation, it didn’t diminish her admiration for Minister Su.

After she left, the translator in the conference room was utterly pale, never having encountered anyone so blunt.

However, he truly didn’t think she was bluffing; she really might act that way.

”Translator Wang, what do we do?”

”Ambassador, this is Deputy Minister Su Yuanyuan from the External Liaison Department who was appointed just yesterday.”

”I want to file a complaint. Translator Wang, write down everything she said, and I will file a complaint immediately.”

Translator Wang obediently wrote down Su Yuanyuan’s words, without any exaggeration. After finishing, he handed it to this unclear-sighted ambassador. Probably he made a fuss for nothing.

Lu Chengmin looked at the complaint letter, his smile growing wider.

”Tell them, not accepted.”

Secretary Zhang took a look, thinking Su was truly straightforward, yet why did it make him so excited inside?

Xu Guozhi also learned of this matter and sighed inwardly, realizing he was old and no longer had the vigor of the young. This was indeed how it should be.

Su Yuanyuan returned to the office and went about her tasks. At noon, when she went to the canteen for lunch, many people warmly greeted her.

She smiled and nodded at everyone, exchanging a few words.

Everyone had heard what happened today, and realized Minister Su was truly fearless.

To be blunt, as just a deputy, she might have overstepped a bit. But she did it anyway.

And she had won everyone’s approval. In their department, they frequently dealt with foreigners and understood their attitudes, but based on etiquette, many things were endured. Yet, only this one punched the strongest country, without any regard.

They knew establishing diplomatic relations with a stronger country wasn’t easy and should be cautiously maintained.

Even knowing this, why were they still excited and happy? Minister Su did what none of them dared to do.

Su Yuanyuan felt a bit unaccustomed to such admiration, so she only ate a small bun and a portion of cabbage and tofu before leaving.

She thought letting Secretary Xie help with meals in the future might be good. Their enthusiasm was a bit overwhelming.

In the afternoon, her workload increased significantly, with people coming to the office every ten minutes.

The phone on the desk rang. ”Minister Su, the foreign ambassador wants to leave.”

”Send the security department to monitor them, and inform them they have three days to leave.”

The person on the other end hesitated a little, but after hanging up, still reported to Lu Chengmin.

”Minister Su’s decision. Carry it out as she said.”

Zeng Zhenqing received the news, thought for a moment, and instantly understood Su Yuanyuan’s intention. This time, they sent fifty people with live ammunition.

Only when it was a quarter to the end of the workday did news come. The foreign embassy submitted an application, explaining they did not intend to leave, it was all a misunderstanding.

Su Yuanyuan let out a cold laugh. ”Withdraw our people, and tell them if it happens again, they will bear all the costs. Our work is so busy, we don’t have time to play house with them.”

It was clear they dared not return like this. As long as they behaved in the future, everything would be negotiable. If they caused trouble again, they’d be expelled.

Secretary Xie entered, ”Minister Su, Leader Zeng asked you to go over after work.”

Su Yuanyuan didn’t even lift her head, ”Got it.” She continued to work intensively, wanting to finish on time and thus had to keep busy.

Someone knocked on the door, ”Minister Su, the diplomatic documents from Country D have arrived.”

”Have the translator wait for me in the conference room in five minutes.”

Su Yuanyuan finally completed the file in her hand. She massaged her wrist, finding it a bit uncomfortable after writing for so long.

She gathered her documents, put them away, and only then went to the conference room.

She didn’t understand Country D’s language, always thinking it unpleasant to hear and hard to learn, ultimately giving up on it.

The two translators stood up when they saw Su Yuanyuan approaching.

”Please, both of you, take a seat. I don’t understand Country D’s language, so you can just translate directly for me.”

The two looked at this clean and straightforward leader, both thinking of ways to make sure she understood.
