My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 391: Chapter 187: Leaving the Sect

”You’re leaving for a while? Leaving the Sect?”

His Master was cultivating in a cave dwelling amidst the mountains. Qin Fang now stood outside, reporting his intention to leave the Sect for a period of time.

His Master’s lean, sharp figure emerged from the cave dwelling, questioning Qin Fang with some surprise.

”Yes, Master. It won’t be for too long—about half a year to a year.”

Qin Fang said respectfully.

...This was his estimated time for secluded cultivation.

Although he felt that the Cold Cave might be of great benefit to his cultivation of the Profound Nether True Water Scripture, he wouldn’t know if it was actually useful until he went there.

If it worked, that would be for the best. After half a year to a year in seclusion... he could definitely push the First Layer to the Perfection stage.

If it didn’t work well, he still wanted to see what that glowing object in the blue haze was... and whether he now had a chance to take the Treasure Plant under the beehive.

But in that case, it wouldn’t take too much time.

His Master raised an eyebrow. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded slightly. ”Very well. Although our Guiyuan Lineage emphasizes ’Hidden Blade and Simple-mindedness,’ we can’t just blindly shut ourselves away from the world. It’s good to go out, travel a bit, and relax. However... you have an excellent disposition, so you should understand that you can’t be impatient. I’ve also been paying attention to the matter of your previous master. It seems most likely he has met with misfortune. I believe you already have your suspicions about the culprit... it’s probably the Blood Luo Sect.”

”But your Cultivation is too shallow right now. You absolutely must not act on impulse and rashly seek revenge on the Blood Luo Sect. Your Talent is exceptional. As long as you have time, the day for vengeance will come sooner or later... Do you understand what I mean?”

His Master gazed at Qin Fang with a serene expression.

A warmth spread through Qin Fang’s heart. He said earnestly, ”Please rest assured, Master. This disciple... values his life more than anyone. I understand the principle that as long as the green hills remain, there will be no shortage of firewood. Without absolute certainty, if this disciple encounters anyone from the Blood Luo Sect, I will only run far away. I will never take such a risk lightly.”

Qin Fang’s words made his Master pause for a moment. He hesitated, then said, ”Well, you don’t have to go that far... Forget it. As long as you understand the importance of being cautious, that’s enough. Hmm, I approve your request to leave the Sect. Go to your Master Fan and get a Token from the Sacrificial Hall. When our Sect’s True Essence Disciples travel outside, they all do so under the identity of a Sacrificial Hall Tributor. That Token is quite useful with the Court and will make things more convenient for you.”

Qin Fang froze for a moment. He hadn’t expected his Master to agree to his request so easily, without asking any further questions.

Seeing Qin Fang’s expression, his Master smiled faintly and said, ”Fledglings must also learn to fly on their own. If you choose to stay in the Sect, the Sect will naturally provide you with shelter. But if you wish to soar... how could the Sect become an obstacle to you? Aren’t your senior brother and sister traveling outside the Sect right now?”

”Although your Cultivation is a bit weak right now... with the Three Great Leaf Skills and a solid foundation, you should have no problem escaping from an ordinary enemy below the True Essence Third Realm.”

His Master’s words left Qin Fang stunned once more. After a long moment, he bowed and said, ”Yes. Thank you, Master.”

”Mm, go on. Be safe.”

”Yes.”

Qin Fang bowed, then broke through the air and departed.

His Master watched him go until he was a distant speck, then sighed softly and turned back into his cave dwelling...

...Just as he had said, a fledgling must learn to fly on its own.

Still, he was very confident in this disciple’s disposition.

He had been observing him constantly this past year... His temperament was calm and steady, never rushed. Moreover, he had fought his way up from the very bottom. In terms of survival skills, he doubted few in the entire Sect’s younger generation could compare to him.

As long as his luck wasn’t so bad that he ran into some old monster the moment he stepped out, he should be quite safe.

Besides...

It wasn’t as if he hadn’t left him with a backup plan.

If he really did encounter some troublesome old monster...

...his, Yue Guiyuan’s, True Disciple was not so easily killed.

Qin Fang flew for some time, taking a short rest along the way, before arriving at the main hall of Guiyuan Valley.

After announcing his presence, Qin Fang walked inside.

Upon seeing Qin Fang, Fan Zhengchu sighed and said, ”Your Master has already spoken to me... However, I don’t recommend you leave the Sect to travel just yet. After all, with your current Cultivation...”

Qin Fang bowed and said, ”Thank you for your concern, Master Fan. But this disciple has his reasons for leaving the Sect. Please rest assured, Master Fan, this disciple will be careful.”

Seeing Qin Fang’s resolve, Fan Zhengchu opened his mouth to speak, but in the end, could only let out another sigh...

’I’ve already tried to persuade him. He is the Hall Master’s True Inheritance, after all. As his master’s junior, a word of advice is enough.’

’Saying any more would be overstepping my bounds.’

”Forget it. As long as you know what you’re doing... This is the Sacrificial Hall Token.”

Fan Zhengchu raised his hand, and a Token drifted down to land in front of Qin Fang.

Qin Fang bowed and accepted it. It felt slightly heavy in his hand, with a warm yet solid texture spreading from his palm.

He looked down. The Token was about the size of his palm and forged entirely from pure red gold. Under the light, it shimmered with a restrained, dark luster.

On the front, the words ”Lan Central Tributor” were carved in large, ancient seal script relief.

It was surrounded by embossed patterns of layered clouds, water, and stars. Upon closer inspection, the clouds seemed to be slowly flowing.

The back of the Token featured a simple yet magnificent design.

A majestic hall stood atop a mountain peak. Its gates were slightly ajar, with a faint radiance visible from within.

Intricate and complex anti-counterfeiting Arrays were engraved along the edges of the Token. A light touch with a fingertip could sense an extremely faint fluctuation of Primordial Power.

And in the center of the back were the large words ”Guiyuan Linyuan.”

’...This was actually custom-made for me?’

Qin Fang was a little surprised.

”With the Court, this Token represents our Heavenly Gang Wuji Sect. As the Hall Master’s True Inheritance, your Token is of the highest grade in the Sacrificial Hall. When necessary, you can use it to mobilize local resources and even have the authority to act first and report later... However, use it with the utmost care.”
