My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 367: Chapter 179: Status

”Only your own Martial Arts are truly yours, something no one can ever take away.”

”For the next month, settle your mind and focus on consolidating your foundation. Adapt to the changes that come with your status as a True Disciple. If you’re confused or troubled, you can come find me anytime, or go directly to the Hall Master or Master Fan for guidance. The Guiyuan Lineage will be your firmest backing!”

Wen Suxin’s eyes were full of encouragement. ”The path of cultivation is long. Don’t focus on short-term gains; focus on making each step a steady one. I believe that with your talent and disposition, as long as you progress steadily, you will eventually win everyone’s heartfelt respect.”

Qin Fang was taken aback by her words. After a long moment, he let out a soft breath and bowed. ”Senior Sister, your words are invaluable. I will take them to heart.”

Seeing his solemn expression, a gentle smile graced Wen Suxin’s face. She said with a laugh, ”I just hope you don’t think I’m overstepping my bounds.”

”How could I fail to recognize your sincere concern, Senior Sister?”

Qin Fang said earnestly, ”I’m not the type to be ungrateful.”

Wen Suxin’s smile widened. She nodded and said, ”Good. You’re a smart man, Junior Brother. As long as you understand... Let’s go.”

Qin Fang smiled, nodded, and left the Council Pavilion with Wen Suxin.

The two chatted for a short while longer. Since Qin Fang wanted to get back and examine the Infinite Star Armor and his new token, he said his goodbyes and departed.

After bidding Wen Suxin farewell, Qin Fang returned to his residence in Linxi, clutching his new Treasure Robe and Token.

He shut the door and first changed into the Infinite Star Armor.

It was a magnificent, wide-sleeved robe. Its fabric, a mix of embroidery and painted art, faintly revealed the complete All Heaven Stars Map and Yin Yang Tai Chi Array Map.

The Treasure Robe automatically molded to his frame, imbued with a contained Profound Light, while a soft luminescence flowed across its surface.

With a thought, Qin Fang circulated his True Essence.

Just as he expected, when his True Essence surged to the surface of his skin, it flowed naturally and smoothly into the Infinite Star Armor. Then, the star patterns on the robe, originally milky white, gradually turned a deep black!

Against the cyan-white base, the newly black star and Tai Chi patterns instantly added an indescribable air of nobility to the robe, making it look even more magnificent!

Qin Fang marveled. ’It really is a Treasure Robe! It’s incredibly comfortable, and it even adjusts itself slightly to allow for complete freedom of movement. It’s neither too loose nor too tight—perfectly convenient for both daily wear and combat!’

The Infinite Star Armor complemented Qin Fang’s already tall and upright frame, making him appear devastatingly handsome.

’The very picture of a dashing, worldly nobleman!’

He looked himself over from top to bottom, extremely satisfied.

Qin Fang then took out the Cyan Jade Token and the Jade Scroll with the detailed rules that his Senior Sister had given him. He immersed his Divine Sense into the scroll and began to read it carefully.

Inside the Jade Scroll was a map, one far more detailed and expansive than the one available to Inner Sect Disciples. It marked many areas that were off-limits to ordinary Inner Sect members.

But now, he had unrestricted access to them all.

Beyond that, the privileges of a Direct Disciple were astounding. For instance, at the Scripture Pavilion, while they no longer got free items, a Direct Disciple could purchase Sect scriptures at a fifty percent discount!

This wasn’t limited to the Scripture Pavilion, either. There was also the Hundred Herbs Courtyard. Because Qin Fang was a Direct Disciple of the Guiyuan Lineage’s Hall Master, the Courtyard was practically his personal domain. When he purchased Elixir Powders there, he was only charged the cost of materials!

A Direct Disciple’s basic monthly stipend was 10,000 contribution points.

He could basically do nothing and still earn over ten thousand a month!

But what surprised Qin Fang the most was...

’A True Disciple... can actually form a squad of True Inheritor Guards?’

He immediately began to study this new rule in detail.

After a short while, he had a general understanding.

To put it simply, every True Disciple could recruit a few Inner Sect Disciples as assistants.

A maximum of five.

Of course, they had to be willing participants.

These Personal Guards would handle his errands, manage his residence, gather information, and so on.

In return, he would allocate a portion of his monthly stipend to them as contribution points.

The Personal Guards, in turn, would benefit from his status as a True Disciple. For example, they’d have an easier time accepting missions, access better cultivation environments, and even enjoy certain discounts...

For an Inner Sect Disciple, this was an excellent opportunity.

For the True Disciple, it saved a great deal of time and effort.

It was also a way for a True Disciple to learn management skills ahead of time—part of the Sect’s method for evaluating their potential.

After all, a True Disciple would inevitably take on formal responsibilities later on.

This was especially true for him, a Hall Master’s True Inheritance...

It was even possible that the entire Guiyuan Lineage would be entrusted to him in the future.

Naturally, his training for such a role had to begin as soon as possible.

’There are two ways to recruit Personal Guards. First, you can extend a personal invitation, which the other party must accept. Second, you can post a task at the Miscellaneous Affairs Department, allowing Inner Sect Disciples to apply on their own, after which you conduct the review.’

Qin Fang read through the rules for forming a Personal Guard.

His eyes glinted.

’To be honest...’

’I really could use the help right now.’

’Just dealing with the massive pile of gifts waiting for me with Qian Ruhai is already a headache I don’t know how to solve.’

’If I could form a Personal Guard, I could just let them worry about problems like that.’

’And beneath the Personal Guards, each Guard has a quota of ten Retainers... who can be chosen from the Outer Sect Disciples.’

’For an Outer Sect Disciple, that’s an opportunity to soar to the heavens. I’m sure they wouldn’t refuse.’

But what frustrated Qin Fang was...

’I don’t actually have any good candidates for my Personal Guard.’

’A Personal Guard can’t be just anyone. They have to be someone I know through and through, someone I can trust, right?’

’If only Qian Ruhai were an Inner Sect Disciple, that would make things easy. I’d recruit him on the spot, and all my problems would be solved.’

’So, even in the Martial Arts World... managerial talent is a rare commodity.’
