My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 301: Chapter 156: Vomiting Blood

Then, to their horror, they realized... if Qin Fang were cursing them right now, most of them would probably end up just like Shen Han, coughing up blood from sheer fury!

Because they discovered... what Qin Fang said was actually irrefutable?

...After all, many of them had taken the Martial Arts Examination more than once.

And, indeed, they hadn’t managed to secure one of the twelve seats...

’Hey, but there’s a saying: don’t slap the face when you fight, don’t expose shortcomings when you argue!’

’This Qin Fang... he only goes for the face.’

’And that mouth of his...’

’Is it coated in deadly poison?!’

For a moment, their expressions shifted, and a strange silence fell over the scene.

Until...

”Young Master!!!”

Two figures suddenly flashed onto the arena.

Qin Fang was startled, his gaze sharpening as he looked.

Two exquisitely beautiful women, dressed as maids, had appeared on the arena. They rushed to support Shen Han, whose face was deathly pale.

One of them glared at Qin Fang, her eyes blazing with intense fury.

Qin Fang’s eyes narrowed as well...

’...These two maids seem anything but ordinary.’

”You dare harm the Young Master... Die!”

Burning with rage, one of the maids charged toward Qin Fang!

In the next instant, a light visible to the naked eye began to emanate from her body.

This made Qin Fang’s pupils contract slightly.

’...True Essence?!’

But before the maid could reach him, a dark shadow flashed before Qin Fang’s eyes, and a figure stepped in between them.

BANG!!!

With a loud crash, the maid was knocked back. She stumbled several steps before regaining her footing, a shocked expression on her face as she looked toward the center of the arena.

Only then did Qin Fang see that the dark-faced middle-aged man had intervened.

His expression was cold and grim. ”Arena battles are held under the rules of the Post House,” he said. ”What, does the Shen Family intend to challenge the Post House?”

The maid was furious and about to retort.

But the other maid, who was still supporting Shen Han, hissed, ”The Young Master has passed out... We need to save him first! As for this score...”

She looked up, glaring daggers at Qin Fang and grinding her teeth. ”We’ll settle it with him later!”

Hearing this, the maid who had attacked also gritted her teeth and said no more. She quickly turned, and the two of them supported Shen Han—who had apparently passed out at some point—as they left the arena.

Qin Fang thought for a moment, then suddenly shouted after them, ”That’s right, fainting is a good move! Otherwise, you’d have no way to get out of this embarrassing situation... But remember to apply for a new room in B Courtyard when you get back. Your old one belongs to me now. Oh, and clear your things out before noon. I’ll be throwing away anything you leave behind...”

Qin Fang clearly saw Shen Han’s previously limp hand give a distinct twitch.

The two maids shot a vicious glare back at Qin Fang, but ultimately, they didn’t linger and left, supporting Shen Han.

Qin Fang was thoroughly satisfied.

Then, remembering something, he gave the dark-faced middle-aged man a cupped-fist salute. ”Thank you for your help, Officer.”

The dark-faced middle-aged man gave Qin Fang a strange look and remained silent for a long moment before speaking. ”I was only doing my duty. No thanks are necessary... However... Shen Han is a member of the Shen Family, after all. As long as you are in the Post House, we can offer you some protection. But if you leave...”

He shook his head slightly. ”In any case, you’d best be careful.”

”Thank you for the warning,” Qin Fang said with a smile.

Seeing Qin Fang’s unconcerned attitude, the dark-faced middle-aged man didn’t say anything more. He just shook his head and turned to leave.

Only then did Qin Fang turn to Li Yao. ”Chief Li, isn’t it time for the announcement?”

Li Yao snapped out of his daze as if waking from a dream. After giving Qin Fang another strange look, he finally announced, ”Shen Han of A Courtyard, Number 19, has lost the ability to continue the fight. The winner of this challenge is Qin Fang of C Courtyard, Number 3. Effective immediately, Qin Fang is promoted to A Courtyard, Number 19. Shen Han is demoted from A Courtyard and will choose a new residence in B Courtyard.”

Li Yao’s words finally broke the spell, and the crowd snapped back to reality...

”He actually won... just like that...”

”I thought yesterday’s match was more entertaining...”

”That Qin Fang... his tongue is too venomous! That Young Master Shen... he was literally talked into coughing up blood!”

”Yeah... but I don’t know why... I found that so satisfying!”

”Right?! I thought it was great, too!”

”Those A Courtyard people have been there for ages, always walking around with their noses in the air, looking down on everyone... and in the end... this is all they’ve got?”

The crowd from D Building buzzed with discussion.

For a moment, they just stared at Qin Fang, seemingly unwilling to leave.

Meanwhile, Qin Fang let out a long breath, feeling refreshed and invigorated...

’It’s been a long time since I’ve had the chance to tear someone down like that.’

’Can’t be helped. You’re not allowed to kill in the arena, but I really couldn’t stand that Shen Han’s high-and-mighty attitude.’

’If killing were allowed, I wouldn’t have wasted so much breath. I’d have just slapped his head into his chest cavity and been done with it. That would have cleared my mind instantly.’

’But since killing is forbidden... I could only rely on my mouth to vent my frustration.’

’...Good thing my years of experience as an expert trash-talker haven’t faded.’

’Could it be... that my trash-talking skills have also been made permanent by the Eternal Dao Fruit?’

Qin Fang thought, feeling utterly refreshed.

He stepped down from the arena and came face-to-face with Qian Ruhai and Lin Chen.

Both Qian Ruhai and Lin Chen stared at him as if they were seeing him for the very first time, their eyes filled with shock.

”Hey, Brother Qian.”

Qin Fang greeted him with a smile.

Qian Ruhai: ”...”

After a long pause, he finally managed a wry smile. ”Brother Qin, that mouth of yours... is something else.”

”Can’t be helped. You’re not allowed to kill in the arena,” Qin Fang said with a grin.

”...” Qian Ruhai was left speechless.

No matter how eloquent he usually was, he had no idea how to respond to that!

’So... if this wasn’t the arena, you would’ve just killed him?’

But looking at Qin Fang’s cheerful grin, he figured he was probably just joking...

After all, Shen Han was from the direct line of the Shen Family.

If he were actually killed, all hell would break loose.

Qian Ruhai could only sigh. ”Still, Brother Qin, you’re full of surprises. Yesterday, Shen Han sent people to test you, and today, you went right back at him... That’s...”

In the end, Qian Ruhai could only give him a thumbs-up. The gesture said it all.
