Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 143: Go Talk To Leila

Adam stares into Cassieʼs hungry eyes, which are begging for his attention.

Something she has desired since the day they met, but since Adam always felt that there was something off about her, he never gave her what she wanted the most.

Now that he has called her out and shown her that he sees the real her, she doesnʼt bother pretending at all.

He could see the relief in her eyes, as if the burden of always wearing a mask was no longer present. She can be her true self before Adam.

”Oh, Cassie~ I pity your poor boyfriend. What would he think if he knew his beloved girlfriend liked to get fucked by other men behind his back?” Cassieʼs eyes widen, hearing Adamʼs words.

She didnʼt expect Adam to also know about her secret relationship.

”Tell me, do you get off to cheating on that poor fellow?” Adam asks.

Cassie shudders, hearing Adamʼs question, but then puts on a mischievous smile as she canʼt help but get excited.

Adam can see the clocks running inside Cassieʼs head, thinking about doing things with him, cheating on her boyfriend again.

”You canʼt shame a girl for having a fetish~” Cassie says.

”Oh, I am not shaming anyone. I just pity that poor dude who is dating a cheating slut like you,” Adam says.

”Hey~ He is also greatly benefiting from dating me. Before, he was a virgin, a complete loner, who couldnʼt even utter a word before a girl; now he has friends. I have brought positive changes to his life. He should be grateful that I even bothered giving him a chance,” Cassie says, smiling like an innocent girl. It comes naturally to her as she has been pretending to be one since she can remember.

”And what do you think will happen when he finds out you like to go around spreading your legs for other men?” Adam asks.

”He will do nothing because he loves me very much. He will never leave me~” Cassie says, smiling ear to ear with her eyes shut. Adam looks at her smile and gets creeped out.

He didnʼt expect that Cassie would be so cruel. ʼShe sounds very confident about it as well, looks like she has her hooks very deep inside that poor fellow. Well, itʼs none of my business,ʼ Adam says.

”Enough about that loser, how about you show me what you are hiding?” Cassie says, seductively biting her lower lip while tightly gripping Adamʼs cock through his pants.

Adam smirks. He can see the desperation in her eyes.

”Na,” Adam says, letʼs go off her neck, grabs her hand by its wrist, and takes it off his cock.

”Mmmm, but why?” Cassie asks, surprised. She never thought she would get rejected, with how things were going forward.

”Well... Even though I am not in a committed relationship with Leila, I donʼt want to bother fucking around with two girls under the same roof; you two will be at each otherʼs throats constantly. It will get tiring, sooner or later,” Adam says and looks away.

Cassie didnʼt expect a man would give up on free sex just because he didnʼt want to be bothered with the inconvenience of two women fighting over him. Other men would do anything to be in his situation. This is the first time she has ever come across a man like Adam.

”Well, I wonʼt tell Leila if you donʼt. We can keep this to ourselves~” Cassie says and reaches out for him again, but Adam stops her hand once again.

”And why would I do that? And let you have any power over me?” Adam asks. Cassie is left without words. She doesnʼt know what to say.

”You want me? Go and talk to Leila. If she agrees, I might think about entertaining you,” Adam says, revs his engine, and drives away, leaving Cassie staring.

She stands there with her fist clenched and her jaw clenched, frustrated and annoyed by how Adam treated her. She felt unimportant, someone who doesnʼt deserve his attention. But this only intensified Cassieʼs desire for Adam.

She bites her lower lip once again and starts thinking of a way to convince Leila to let her in on the fun as well.

Adam starts his way towards his fatherʼs office.

He never expected Cassie would drop her mask so easily before him and try to get intimate with him. He could have taken her right there and had his fun, but he didnʼt feel like it.

Cassie is not a girl he can let have an ounce of control over any situation. He has already seen her true side, a manipulative, selfish bitch. If she gets a chance to mess with someone, she will definitely take it.

Just take her boyfriend, for example. She was so confident in not losing him, even if her secret got out, meaning her control over him is far stronger than normal, and this can only be done by extremely manipulative people.

If Adam ever fools around with Cassie, it will be by his choice and on his time. Not hers, not in a parking lot, and not inside his compact car. There are too many variables that canʼt be accounted for.

ʼLetʼs get this day over with,ʼ Adam thinks, hits the accelerator harder and drives faster, swerving his car through the highway lanes, passing vehicle after vehicle at blinding speed.

His enhanced vision and perception of time allow him to avoid accidents better than any pro.

Half an hour later, he arrives at his fatherʼs office building.

A very tall skyscraper, owned by a real estate billionaire who rents it out to large companies. This skyscraper is home to over twenty-five multinational companies, and his fatherʼs is one of them.

Adam makes his way towards the parking lot. He sees a gate operated by a few security guards; they open the gate for him, seeing his expensive car. With no hassle, Adam drives in.

He finds an empty spot to park his car and gets out.

Itʼs been ages since he has been here. The last time he remembers coming here is when his mother was still alive, and now add his other twenty years of his past time, a long time has passed.

Adam makes his way to the elevator and presses the 45th floorʼs button. He remembers his fatherʼs office starts from the 45th floor and ends on the 49th floor. The first time he came here with his mother was when his father just rented the 45th and 46th floors to shift his business here; now he rents five floors, showing his growth in business.

Adam might not love his dad, but he has to give him credit where it is due. He knew how to make money, but thatʼs the only thing he knew how to do.

The elevator takes its time, till then he is entertained by the classical music playing in the elevator, he likes it, it makes him tap his feet to its rhythm.

The elevator stops, the door opens, and Adam is greeted by the entrance to his fatherʼs company.

Grant Bridge Capital. The name of his fatherʼs company. A billion-dollar asset management firm started from the bottom and is now one of the best-reputed asset management companies in the world, all thanks to its workaholic father.

It doesnʼt look the same as he remembered.

He looks in and sees people still walking around. Even though itʼs nighttime, people are still working.

Adam pushes open the glass door and walks up to the receptionist.

He looks at the girl sitting behind the receptionistʼs desk. Beautiful, brunette, long straight hair, well-gifted assets, a tight-fitting shirt with a few buttons unbuttoned to show them off, and a black short pencil skirt that shows off her sexy legs.

The girl seems busy on her phone and bored out of her mind. Adam doesnʼt blame her. Itʼs almost time to go home. The girl must be tired after working all day.

”Ahem,” Adam sounds to get her attention.

The girl sighs and looks up to see who it is this time. She freezes as her eyes lock onto the young man before her. Tall and handsome. She immediately sits up straight and puts on her best smile.

”Welcome to Grant Bridge Capital. How can I help you?” She asks with her best professional smile.

Adam is impressed by the girlʼs ability to switch back to being a professional in an instant.

”I am here to meet Jack Grant,” Adam says.

”Ah, do you have an appointment with Mr. Grant?” The receptionist asks.

”No, I am his son,” Adam says.

The receptionistʼs eyes widen as she realizes that the young handsome man standing before her is none other than the bossʼs son. She felt like she was meeting with a prince of a kingdom.

”Ah, please wait, I will inform Mr. Grant,” The receptionist says and quickly calls up Adamʼs father office.

”Yes, Miss Lane, Mr. Grantʼs son is here to meet him.... Yes... Yes.. I will send him right in,” The receptionist says and puts her phone down.

”Mr.. g..” ”You can call me Adam,” Adam decides to make it easier for her. ”Adam, please go ahead, Mr. Grant is waiting for you,” She says, unlocking the companyʼs inner door for Adam.

”Thank you, Miss. Stien. Have a pleasant night,” Adam says, giving the receptionist a charming smile, making the woman blush.

Adam walks into his fatherʼs company and sees that half of the chairs are empty, while some of the people are ready to leave, while a few are still busy at work.

The few who are about to leave notice Adam and wonder who he is, as he looks too young and stands out too much because of his handsome looks for them to forget who he is. They all can tell he is a new face.

Adam sees a few pretty faces, but they are women who will have no significance in his life, so he ignores them.

He makes his way towards his fatherʼs office.
