Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 142: True Color

Adam gets back to work and finishes his shift. He bids farewell to his coworkers and walks up to his car.

He sits in it and is about to head back when his phone suddenly rings.

Itʼs from Jack.

Adam looks at the caller screen and wonders what his old man wants. He picks up the call.

”Where are you?” Jack asks. He is clearly not someone who likes to waste time in idle chats.

”Just got off from work,” Adam answers.

”Good, meet me at my office,” Jack replies.

”Why?” Adam asks.

”I will tell you when you get here,” Jack answers.

Adam stays silent for a second before answering. ”Okay, I will be there within an hour.”

”I wonʼt be going anywhere,” Jack says, and the call ends. Adam looks at his phone again, wondering why Jack called him to his office. He has never done that before.

”Well, whatever, letʼs go check and see what the old man needs,” Adam murmurs and starts his car, and is about to drive out when someone suddenly steps before his car.

Itʼs Cassie.

”Adam!” Cassie cheerfully calls for him while waving her hand. She then skips towards Adamʼs side of the window and signals him to roll it down.

Adam rolls down the window and looks at Cassie.

She has her signature smile on and is currently wearing a loose white t-shirt and short jean shorts.

As she bends down to level with Adam, her loose t-shirt hangs down, revealing her two big mounds hanging from her chest.

She is not wearing a bra, so Adam manages to get a glimpse of her light pink colored nipples.

”Oh my God, I didnʼt know you drove a sports car!” Cassie says excitedly.

Adam shifts his eyes up and meets her again. He knows that she knows he was looking at her breasts, but she didnʼt call him out for it or bother to cover it up, meaning she did it on purpose, and Adamʼs not surprised.

Cassie has been very touchy with him ever since she learned about his relationship with Leila. Exposing herself to entice him is not out of her playbook.

”I have been bringing this car to work since the very beginning, how could you not know?” Adam asks. He doesnʼt know if she is lying to just spark up a conversation with him, but he doesnʼt care.

”How could I? You always give more attention to Leila than me,” Cassie says, pouting. Trying to act cute and innocent.

But Adamʼs not gonna fall for this act. He has already seen Cassieʼs true colors. He had his suspicions about her since the very beginning, only to be proven correct after he heard her talk to her boyfriend.

ʼThat poor guy,ʼ Adam pities the man, but not enough to pass up on some fun.

”And, why wouldnʼt I? You already know about my relationship with Leila, right?” Adam asks, smirking.

Cassie didnʼt expect Adam to be so straightforward. Usually, guys try to be very careful around her because they donʼt want to mess up any chances with her, even if itʼs just a little.

But Adamʼs not like the rest of the guys; he doesnʼt seem to give a shit about what she would think of him.

He doesnʼt shy away from flirting with her, but he also doesnʼt put any importance on her, which makes Cassie want Adam even more.

And that is why she feels such intense jealousy towards Leila, because Leila is getting what she wanted all along.

”Hehe, I am just saying... You know... A girl can get jealous sometimes,” Cassie changes up her tune.

She realizes that there is no point beating around the bush when it comes to Adam. If she wants something, she needs to get it out.

The same thing happened with Leila; she put herself out for Adam.

”Jealous? Why would you be jealous?” Adam asks, smirking.

”Ugh, geez, do you really want me to say it out loud?” Cassie asks, putting on a different act this time, one of frustration, but she is clearly not frustrated. Adam can tell because of how uninterrupted and clear her tone is. A frustrated person doesnʼt sound like that.

”Please, I am not really good with vague words and what they mean,” Adam says.

Cassie feels a little annoyed. She can see that Adam is playing with her. She has been around Adam for long enough to know he is not dense. In fact, he is very sharp with his observation and picks up on many things that other people donʼt.

Sometimes Cassie feels that Adam can see right through her, but she dismisses it because she has been putting on her act since a very young age; even her closest friends and parents havenʼt seen through her, so how can a guy she just met a few weeks ago see through her?

”I... I... I like you...” Cassie says. Her face turns red while she twiddles with her fingers.

Adam looks at her, acting coy and embarrassed, even though it is all just an act.

Adam canʼt help but be impressed. ʼShe should start a career in acting, with her looks and her personality, I donʼt think she will have it hard in the industry,ʼ Adam thinks.

Cassie, after all, is a very manipulative girl; she knows what guys like. If a girl like her joins the industry, she can play the shy girl while also opening her legs for some influential men behind closed doors. She will definitely climb the industry ladder very fast.

Adam just stares at Cassie; he doesnʼt bother answering. He waits for her to look back at him.

Cassie has her head down, playing coy, but she starts getting annoyed again as she doesnʼt hear a word from Adam. She is forced to lift her head and meet his eyes.

”Well... to be honest, I already knew. A girl doesnʼt go out of her way to get touchy with a guy if she doesnʼt like him,” Adam says.

”Oh... so you knew already... then why-” Before Cassie could finish asking her question, Adam interrupts her. ”Why didnʼt I bother getting with you?” Adam finishes her question.

”Yes? Am I not pretty? Do you not like me back?” Cassie asks. Fake tears start welling up in her eyes.

ʼHoly shit, she is good at this, no wonder that poor fellow fell for her act,ʼ Adam thinks, again pitting Cassieʼs poor boyfriend. Adam canʼt help but wonder how many guys Cassie has fucked behind his back.

”Oh, donʼt get me wrong, Cassie, I think you are pretty, you are also blessed with a nice body, the only reason I didnʼt bother with you is because... You are fake,” Adam drops the f word.

Cassie is taken aback by Adamʼs words. Her tears even stop for a second, but she manages to pull herself back together.

”Fa.. fake? What do you mean? Ho...how can you be so cruel?” Cassie asks, sniffing with her fake crying.

”Cut the crap, Cassie. I see through your act. You might have fooled others, but not me,” Adam says, staring intensely into Cassieʼs eyes.

Cassie stares back into Adamʼs eyes and realizes that Adam does see through her, but she isnʼt surprised. She had thought of the possibility before, but she denied it; now there is no denying it.

Adam can see through her, which for some reason makes her feel a different kind of excitement, something she has never felt before.

Her crying face slowly disappears and is replaced with a smiling one.

For the first time, Adam sees Cassieʼs genuine smile. A smile that she is not faking.

Adam also smirks. ”There you are,” he says, staring into her eyes.

Cassie grins and leans in closer, resting her hand on his car door and bringing her face closer to his.

”When did you figure it out?” Cassie asks.

”Well, I suspected it a long time ago. You acted too shy, for a girl who dresses the way you do, dressing for attention. You crave attention. You want people to admire you, but you donʼt want to show people your true self because that would make some people despise you, so you put on that mask of innocence. You are an attention whore, Cassie,” Adam says.

But Cassie isnʼt bothered; she chuckles and then bites her lower lip.

”You really are something, arenʼt you. Handsome and intelligent, thatʼs why I like you so much. So why donʼt we take it to the next level? You have already seen the real me, and I have seen the way you look at me sometimes. I am sure you would love to rip these clothes off my body and have your way with me,” Cassie suggests as she reaches out her hand and places it on Adamʼs thigh before sliding up and putting it over his cock.

”I would especially love to experience this thing that turned that bitchy Leila into a submissive little slut~” Cassie says, biting her lower lip while grabbing Adamʼs cock through his pants.

Though itʼs not erect yet, Cassie can tell that itʼs big, exciting her even more.

Adam smirks. He reaches out for Cassie and grabs her by her neck and yanks her closer.

”Nnnnn~” Cassie moans as her eyelids droop in lust. ”So you like being rough with girls, huh? I expected much~ And I donʼt mind at all~ I can call you daddy, master, sir~ whatever you want~” Cassie says as she holds onto Adamʼs wrist as he tightens his grip around Cassieʼs neck.

He can see how Cassie is visibly getting hornier by the second.
