Chapter 159: Chapter 159: Katsura Kotonoha’s Public Embarrassment

”So this is what they call a yokai? Kinda weak if you ask me.” Facing the camera, Katsura Kotonoha looked bored. ”So weak it’s not even fun.”

Doujin Artist: ”Not fun? Girl, you look like you’re having a blast!”

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: ”Kotonoha-chan, something’s definitely off with you right now.”

”There’s nothing off. This is the real me, okay?” Kotonoha pouted and giggled. ”Anran-san, are you watching me? Hehehe~ Mua~” She blew a kiss at the screen without any hesitation.

Curly-haired Guy: ”Whoa, okay, this is way past fake alcohol. There’s gotta be something else in that drink.”

Amegakure Village’s Angel: ”Kotonoha-chan is so bold...”

Konan looked at herself and honestly felt she could never do something like that. Maybe she was just too reserved?

”Hmph, that’s nothing! I can—” Before she could finish, Kotonoha’s flushed face suddenly went pale. She blanked out for a moment, then her face turned beet red again.

At that exact moment, the stream froze—then with a loud ”pop,” the whole screen went black.

[Notice: Machete Girl has closed the stream. Total viewers: 10. Stream duration: 10 minutes. Host earned: 100 points.]

Wig Guy: ”?”

Shark-Faced Guy: ”Looks like Miss Kotonoha is back to normal.”

Doujin Artist: ”Oho~ sobered up, huh?”

This is an Actor: ”More like... her awakened state got forced back down again.”

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: ”Miss Kotonoha, do you even remember what you just did?”

Machete Girl: ”N-No, I don’t!”

Doujin Artist: ”Yeah right. If you don’t remember, then why’d you shut the stream so suddenly?”

Soul Society’s Villain: ”And that expression when you snapped back—didn’t look like someone who forgot.”

Machete Girl: ”Aaaaah! I’m so sorry!”

Amegakure Village’s Angel: ”It’s okay~ Mua~”

Doujin Artist: ”Pfft—HAHAHAHA! That was a direct hit from Konan!”

Machete Girl: ”Please, stop! Don’t talk about it anymore! Just forget it, all of you, please!”

Curly-haired Guy: ”Kotonoha-chan, you can’t just pretend it didn’t happen. What happened to that confident ’real you’?”

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: ”So is this like... a split personality thing?”

Machete Girl: ”I’m not sure either. It felt really great saying those things while I was in battle mode... but the moment I snapped out of it, I was super embarrassed.”

This is an Actor: ”It’s not split personality. It’s more like a hidden mode that kicks in under pressure. Kind of a rare talent, actually. From what I saw, when Kotonoha’s in that state, she moves like a seasoned pro.”

Honestly, it was shocking.

Katsura Kotonoha had trained in swordsmanship for a few years, but she’d never had any real combat experience. Yet in that state, her control over her strength and her reading of enemy weaknesses were incredibly sharp.

That girl... is practically a born fighter.

Doujin Artist: Whoa, even Anran-san gave it a good review! Looks like Kotono-chan is about to blow up!

Machete Girl: Blow up? This kind of embarrassing talent? I’d rather not have it!

Curly-haired Guy: Then give it to me?

Doujin Artist: Are you dreaming? Besides, talent’s not something you can trade.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: You can eat dreams?

King Kong looked down at his own butt, deep in thought.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: No, she just meant to shut Gin-san down. Basically saying he’s full of crap.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: I see. I’ve learned something new about humans again. Lati is happy.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: There are some things you really don’t need to learn. They’ll just mess you up.

Li Mochou truly felt that. After all, she went from a clueless innocent to a corrupted walking disaster, all thanks to this group.

Now she instantly understood all the slang and inside jokes flying around the group.

Of course—

It’s not all dirty stuff. There’s actually a lot of solid knowledge to pick up here too. Like the progressive ideas Anran often shares, those have really opened her eyes.

It’s thanks to those ideas that she even started thinking about changing the world.

Doujin Artist: Totally. And especially that old fart Gin—whatever he says, do the opposite.

Curly-haired Guy: The hell? I don’t need a lecture from a washed-up old fujo!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Miss Katsura, did that white-haired girl tell you who she was?

Machete Girl: Miss Kazuko? She said she’s from the Special Management Bureau, Frontline Combat Division. There are eight teams in the whole division, and each team is made up of onmyoji.

Soul Society’s Public Enemy: An official unit? Looks like we were right—your government has known about the invaders for a while now.

Machete Girl: Yeah, they call the invaders ”yōki.” They rank them from weakest to strongest: E-class is the weakest, S-class is the strongest.

Doujin Artist: I remember those onmyoji saying that the Turning-Wheel Demon was above C-class? Is that really strong?

Machete Girl: Super strong. Kazuko said they haven’t seen one that high-level in decades.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: So this whole thing was unexpected?

This is an Actor: Hard to say with so little intel—unless we find where they came from.

As the message was sent, Uchiha Madara raised his right hand and lightly tapped the air in front of him. With a buzz, a dark oval portal tore open right in front of him.

He stepped forward without hesitation and disappeared into the hole.

When he reappeared, he was inside a dark, cramped room.

This was Muken.

But Muken wasn’t just a prison cell. It was a unique space of exile, located directly beneath the Central 46’s main chamber.

Normally, entering Muken required approval from both the Captain-Commander and all 46 sages, plus a special Kido technique to unlock the door.

But Uchiha Madara was not someone who cared about rules. The laws of Soul Society meant nothing to him.

Just as his figure appeared in that space, a soft voice echoed from the shadows: ”So you’ve come, Uchiha Madara.”
