Chapter 131 - 131: Minato’s Temptation?

*Swish!*

Minato dodges the chain’s strike just in time. Staring at the red-haired girl in front of him, his eyes filled with shock. ”Kushina, what are you...?”

”Why did you dodge?” Kushina smiled slightly, her lips curling. ”Didn’t you say you’d die for me? Was that a lie too?”

*Buzz buzz buzz.*

The golden chain twisted in the air like a snake, circling a few times before returning behind Kushina.

Minato frowned, staring hard at her. ”Are you really Kushina?”

She looked exactly like the Kushina he remembered. But her personality, her actions, the way she spoke—it all felt so different.

”Hah, so now you’re even doubting who I am?” Kushina stood up and suddenly vanished.

Before Minato could react, her hand was already on his shoulder. She whispered in his ear, ”I’m the happiest woman in the world, my little sun.”

They looked like a couple deeply in love. But Minato felt a chill inside—not just because he hadn’t even noticed her move.

It was that exact line. Same words, same tone—those were the words Kushina said to him right before their wedding.

Minato was sure now—this was definitely his wife. But why? Why had the gentle, kind Kushina changed so much?

”It’s Aizen, isn’t it.”

After a long silence, Minato looked at her and said, ”He must have tricked you, right? Kushina, listen to me. Aizen is a power-hungry liar. He’s fooled so many people! He’s a madman who wants to destroy the ninja world!”

”Is that what people told you?” Kushina chuckled, taking a few steps back. ”Minato, have you ever even met Lord Aizen?”

”I...” Minato hesitated, unsure how to answer.

No, he hadn’t seen Aizen with his own eyes. But he fully trusted what Jiraiya and the Sage of Six Paths had said.

”And even if he is power-hungry, so what?” Kushina sat back down with a sneer. ”At least he wouldn’t have chosen to kill my child in the name of some so-called greater good.”

Minato froze, stunned. How did she know that?

”Nothing to say now?” Kushina looked at him calmly. ”Go back. Please don’t bother me or our child again.”

”Kushina...” Minato’s eyes widened. ”What... what do you mean?”

Doujin Artist: Isn’t it obvious? She’s basically divorcing you!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: It’s not that he doesn’t get it—he just can’t believe it. They used to be so in love, and now they’re going their separate ways.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Sigh.

Curly-haired Guy: What’s there to sigh about? Isn’t this Minato’s own fault? He was the one who hesitated back then.

Doujin Artist: True, but it’s still kinda sad to see a once-loving couple end up like this. It’s the kind of sadness that hits like this cold Coke in my hand.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: ...What’s sad about a cold Coke? Doesn’t drinking it usually make people happy?

Doujin Artist: Yeah, it does. But what if it’s almost gone? Isn’t that sad too?

Machete Girl: Pfft! So that’s what you’re sad about? Your Coke’s almost finished?

Soul Society’s Villain: Even if you finish it, can’t you just go buy another one? ℯℯ𝘭.

Doujin Artist: No, it’s dark outside. And we’re under military curfew... No going out after 10 p.m.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Has the mutant beast threat gotten that bad?

Doujin Artist: It’s not just beasts. Some people with strange powers are causing trouble too. Yesterday, even the Prime Minister’s daughter was almost attacked. The top brass is freaking out.

Curly-haired Guy: Then isn’t this the perfect time for your group to step up? By the way, what’s your group called?

Doujin Artist: Haven’t named it yet. There’s only a couple of us right now. Besides Kasumigaoka and Megumi Kato, the others... their powers aren’t all that useful.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: How about we call it the ”Eri Kashiwagi Fan Club”?

Doujin Artist: ? Ruiko-chan, you did that on purpose, didn’t you?

Eririri’s mouth twitched hard. If they really went with that name, just shouting it out during a fight would be enough to kill them... No need for the enemy to even attack—instant social death!

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: What about ”Azure Dragon Society”?

Machete Girl: That could work—if Airi-chan wants to be the leader of the group.

Curly-haired Guy: Oh! I just thought of a name that sounds super cool. Why don’t we just call ourselves the Avengers?

Doujin Artist: Who are you trying to rip off? You think I haven’t seen Marvel? We’re gonna get sued!

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Maybe let’s just stick with Azure Dragon Society.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Actually, I still think ”Eri Kashiwagi Fan Club” really shows what we’re all about.

Doujin Artist: I’m begging you all—naming geniuses, please stop giving suggestions. Just watch the stream, okay? Wait, why are that couple fighting again?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Namikaze Minato refuses to give up and keeps pushing. Kushina can’t take it anymore and strikes back in anger. How will this drama end? Will the Fourth Hokage’s attempt to win her back really work?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Coming up tonight at 8PM, live in Konan’s stream?

Doujin Artist: Damn, I’ve got nothing to say but ”Damn!”

Curly-haired Guy: Hmm... feels like something’s missing. Oh, got it! Let’s call the episode ”Minato’s Temptation.”

This is an Actor: ...

Aizen’s mouth twitched slightly. He had no idea how to respond to that.
