The Genius Evolution Store

Tommi raised his hand and waved it down, producing an extraordinary fireball.

Eric gripped his scythe tighter and hit the fireball with his scythe.

As expected from the absolute fire, even though Eric’s blood element had the advantage, the absolute fire still burned through it completely.

Eric was forced to leap back to avoid the fireball. Then, Eric formed a spear and tossed it toward Tommi.

”You won’t be able to win against me like that.” Tommi grinned. He easily avoided the spear and ran toward Eric, trying to apply more pressure by coming closer.

Eric’s expression remained calm as though he had expected Tommi to move like this.

Tommi snapped his fingers, using the absolute fire to create an explosion.

Eric leaped to the right and started moving toward Tommi. Eric formed his scythe once more and waved it up as though he were scooping the ground. A blood wave rose.

Tommi simply evaporated the blood wave and passed through. He was ready to defeat Eric, but Eric was nowhere to be found.

”!!!” Tommi suddenly glanced to the right. A burst of flame erupted and burned the scythe that had almost slashed his neck.

After that, Tommi pointed his palm at Eric.

Boom!

Another explosion occurred, and Eric was blasted away. Eric managed to use his blood to form a kind of barrier to protect him, but everything evaporated immediately.

”You bastard made me panic for a second.” Tommi grinned.

”But it’s not enough.” Eric looked away. ”I guess this is it for today.”

”Yeah. It would have been more interesting if Auric were here, but it looks like the professor has taken a liking to him. We don’t even have time to hang out.” Tommi sighed.

”I don’t care.” Eric shrugged. ”Hanging out with friends can wait. I know that my understanding of elements has increased, but it’s still nowhere near enough if I want to defeat that guy.”

”Defeat Auric?”

”Who else?”

”If you want to defeat him, shouldn’t you think about evolving your avatar first?”

”That’s true. I do intend to evolve within one or two months.”

”That fast?” Tommi widened his eyes in shock.

”That fast? Compared to Auric, no. Besides, there are people faster than me. Those who have lower-rated elements have the speed advantage after all.” Eric shook his head. ”Unfortunately, lower-rated elements have a hard time against high-rated elements.”

”You know, your blood element is exceptional in a way. Why don’t you try something that allows you to utilize your power even more?”

”What do you mean?” Eric frowned.

”I’m talking about support abilities. You can control blood, right?”

”Do you want me to control people’s blood? I can’t do that yet.”

”I know you can’t right now, but I’m talking about controlling your blood this time. Can’t you just power up if your blood can boost your strength? Just strengthen the blood in your body. Besides, your avatar is a vampire. Have you ever tried to drink blood or something?”

”What does it have to do with this? I’m not a vampire, my avatar is.”

”Well, you know...” Tommi shrugged. ”Also, if you are planning to evolve, are you going to ask Auric to help you evolve?”

”...” Eric didn’t say anything, but this was a confirmation. Tommi knew, Eric, that if he disliked something, he would flatly reject it. If he wanted to do something, he would just remain silent because he couldn’t be honest with himself.

”You’re seriously going to ask him? Well, I’m thinking about asking him as well, if there’s an opportunity. However, you are asking him to help you so that you can defeat him?”

”What’s wrong with that?”

”You know, you are more thick-skinned than I expected.”

”Blood is thicker than water. Well, my skin is at least thicker than blood.” Eric snorted. ”Besides, he can reject it. I’m not going to let my pride make me abandon my goal. He’s a safer option, so why not?”

”Heh?” Tommi grinned. He felt glad that Auric introduced him to Eric.

Eric’s element might not be as exceptional, but Eric was relentless and continued to improve. He never let his lack of talent or his element bother him.

Instead, he focused on utilizing what he had 100% or even 120% to get what he wanted.

That kind of resolve was rare. At the very least, Eric wouldn’t say no to a challenge from him. Eric felt like someone he could grow along with, while Auric looked like someone whom he had to chase.

”Hahaha. My brother, why don’t I introduce you to someone?” Tommi laughed and placed his hand on Eric’s shoulder. ”You’re definitely going to need this person.”

Eric’s eyebrows twitched. As usual, Tommi kept acting at his own pace, dragging people everywhere he wanted to go. Nevertheless, Eric didn’t reject him.

...

In another classroom, Ellia remained still in her seat. She just crossed her arms and closed her eyes, making it hard for others to approach her.

”How about talking to Ellia today?”

”But isn’t she a fallen?”

”A fallen is someone who is supposed to enter Kallarnos University but failed to get in. Right now, she is here as an exchange student. Doesn’t that mean she’s talented enough to enter here?”

”But she is still a unique element user. She won’t last long at this rate.”

”You can say that, but it doesn’t change the fact that she’s extremely strong. Even right now, who is actually her opponent? Only those who have evolved their avatars to the adult form can actually pose a challenge to her.”

People continued to talk about Ellia, but Ellia remained silent. She didn’t intend to make a connection in this place.

It might look like a foolish action, considering the people in this school were talented or had a good background.

However, Ellia couldn’t do it because she felt her movements were being watched all the time.

Ever since she returned to the capital city, her parents had been pushing one candidate after another.

She had been arguing with them, but she didn’t know if they would back off just like that.

’If I talk to these guys, I’m afraid that it will cause a reaction from my parents. However, the situation can’t go on like this.’

Ellia felt suffocated. She came here because Auric wanted to come. To avoid anyone from getting rejected, she needed to come as well.

As for the price, she had to deal with her family. Her parents had been operating in the capital city, so their connections extended throughout the capital.

Meanwhile, her connection was extremely lacking. If she had one, it would be because of her parents.

All her connections were in the countryside, so she was helpless in this place.

’What should I do right now?’ Ellia kept asking the same question over and over again. She couldn’t find a way to break free from the current situation.

...

Student Council Room.

”It’s been three days since they arrived. How are they?” The student council president asked.

His secretary calmly reported, ”Eric Dabood was able to fit into his class pretty well. He didn’t seem to be someone who talked a lot, but Tommi looked friendly with him.

”I’m not entirely sure about their relationship. They look like friends, but perhaps something more?”

”Tommi? You mean that Tommi? He’s not exactly someone who likes to make friends.”

”Yes.” The secretary nodded. ”However, Eric Dabood’s strength is extremely high. His element might not be that powerful, but he’s somehow able to keep up with Tommi.”

”His talent is that good?”

”Possibly. He doesn’t have any record of fighting, so there’s not much I can say. But if I have to guess, he can rank in the top ten among our new students.”

”Hmm... How about the other kid? If I’m not mistaken, he’s the person the principal is interested in.”

”He...” The secretary looked troubled.

”What’s wrong?”

”I’m not exactly sure about him in the class, but Vice President Katarina is currently working for him.”

”Katarina is what?!” The president widened his eyes in shock.

”Vice President Katarina is working in his store. She’s even wearing a maid uniform.”

The president narrowed his eyes. ”Are you sure about this? Does he have anything to blackmail her? He must have one, right?”

”I couldn’t find one. What I do know is that the Relesha family has been picking him up every single day. He should be staying with the Relesha family right now. After a simple check, it turns out his teacher is Maya Relesha.”

”Maya Relesha... The golden child of the Relesha family. She is treasured because she is the youngest, but at the same time, she’s extremely talented. People say that she can become a chief prosecutor before she is thirty years old. She might even grow to be someone stronger than her grandfather, Mathias Relesha.”

The secretary nodded. ”I couldn’t find anything else. The Relesha family hasn’t made any big move. Besides, there’s no connection between the Relesha family and Katarina.”

The president crossed his arms. ”Anything else?”

”No, not at the moment. Unless you want me to investigate him thoroughly, this is the extent of what I can do. I don’t want to have the Relesha family after me.” The secretary looked at him. ”Please don’t forget that I might be reporting to you, but it’s only because it’s my duty. I am under no obligation to risk my life for you.”

”I know.” The president frowned. It looked like he had to investigate Auric Elfe himself. ”How about the other three?”

”Milinda Kompo. She doesn’t stand out, but she is strong. She ranks among the top in the class, but she acts friendly to others and doesn’t do anything that draws much attention. Her stability is her main point.”

”She is that strong? A unique element... I guess that is to be expected. Until they can’t evolve anymore, a unique element user is going to dominate.”

The secretary nodded. ”As for Arina Teneressa, she doesn’t stand out. Her ability is above average but not overwhelming. She doesn’t seem to be suited to this university.

”She might be able to keep up just fine, but she won’t be remembered by many.”

”Well, she is that Ellia’s childhood friend.” The president nodded. ”How about Ellia Stroph Astler?”

”She hasn’t done anything. However, it is apparent that she is still the same. She is dominating all her peers. There have already been two challenges, but she wins both of them easily.

”It looks like she is able to defeat anyone at the same level. Only those who have adult-form avatars can pose a challenge to her.”

”The sword genius. Her talent is far beyond that of the others to the point where she is called a devil.” The president frowned. ”It looks like everyone from Grand Magica College is doing just fine.”

”From the looks of it, yes.”

The president’s expression turned solemn. ”In that case, I should do something to ’help’ them. I can’t let the people from Grand Magica College do well here, or else people will think that anyone can enter Kallarnos University.”
