The Genius Evolution Store

The next day.

”Hmm?” The young master frowned. ”Is everything here true?”

”Yes, young master.”

”So, he has a teacher from that crazy family? And right now, he’s staying with that crazy family?”

”Yes.”

The young master crossed his arms. ”Is the Astler family trying to trap me? Even if I have the confidence in taking him out, there’s no telling what will happen when that crazy family retaliates.”

”What are you going to do, young master?”

”I may want a lot of things, but I’m not crazy enough to fall into a trap like this. It looks like the Astler family is planning to challenge me by using the Relesha family.” The young master waved his hand. ”Go first. I need time to think. Also, continue to monitor that store and Auric Elfe.”

”Understood.”

...

Meanwhile, Auric had just finished his class and came to the store.

Katarina, Irvetta, and Belle were already waiting inside. Milinda seemed to have finished her class as well.

The store wasn’t as crowded as the previous day, but it looked like his store had garnered some attention in this university.

However, Auric wanted to focus on treating his patient.

”Please sit down.” Auric extended his hand.

”This is the material.” Milinda brought the heart of the Earth Crane.

”You have a quite powerful wind element.” Auric smiled. ”So, I’m going to use the heart of Earth Crane to weaken it first and dissolve the rest with my remaining power. The process won’t take long, but it may be painful.”

”Will it be more painful than what I’m experiencing right now?” Irvetta asked with a calm expression, as if she didn’t care about the pain anymore.

”Slightly.”

”In that case, please do it.”

Katarina explained, ”Irvetta has a unique defensive style. Rather than blocking, she is more of a deflector. By using that wind element, she has been deflecting my attacks. Besides, she is strong enough to take on my bullets.”

”Should I feel glad that the vice president knows this much about me?” Irvetta grinned.

”Will my sister be alright?” Belle asked, worried.

”Don’t worry. She will be fine.” Auric smiled.

”Still, now that I think about it, you’ve suddenly had explosive growth since five months ago. Is it because of this battle technique?”

”Most likely.” Irvetta nodded. ”I have picked up a battle technique that allows me to manifest my power more accurately, especially for my defense. However, the price is this. It’s powerful, but it’s harming my body.

”I had gone to an evolution master secretly, but he told me it’s useless to treat it. I’d better wait until my evolution.”

”Is that how it is?” Katarina looked at Auric.

”Well, evolution is like a cheat code for most of the problems. Thanks to the sudden increase in intensity, your element can flush most of your problems. This one is the same. However, you will have quite a painful evolution this time.” Auric nodded.

”But you are planning to treat me, right? Will it have a side effect?”

Auric shook his head. ”Nope. Right now, the accumulation of energy might not be big, but it’s definitely hard to break down. That’s why rather than having it removed, it’s better to use the energy from evolution to flush it out.”

”But you’re attempting something different, right?”

”Indeed. I’m planning to use the overwhelming energy from the material while attacking this accumulated energy with mine from another side. This way, it will break down your accumulated energy, and then I will disperse it.” Auric smiled.

”Is that simple?” Irvetta looked surprised.

”If it were that simple, the evolution master would have done it for you,” said Katarina, knowing that there was nothing simple about Auric’s process.

”It’s that simple. You just need to attack the right spot and it will be fine. It’s just going to be a bit troublesome if you don’t know which spot to hit.” Auric nodded with a smile.

”A bit...” Irvetta sucked in a cold breath, while Katarina just looked away, thinking, ’Your bit is different from other people’s bit.’

”Anyway, let us begin.” Auric placed the material in her hand. ”Use your hand to absorb the material. I will do the rest.”

”Got it.” Irvetta closed her eyes, focusing. She began to absorb the energy from the material.

Auric poured in his energy right after. He first used Extreme Bridge Management to channel the energy from the material so that it would hit the correct spot. The overwhelming energy from the material would crack the accumulated energy.

Then, Auric used his energy to blast it open. He could use the material to make the hole as well, but it would be a waste of energy. After all, he wouldn’t be able to retract the energy that had gone inside.

”Kh...” Irvetta gritted her teeth. It was painful, but it wasn’t as painful as she imagined.

Auric gently led the energy in her body. In addition, he firmly held her hand as if assuring her that nothing would go wrong.

Auric’s expression remained calm all the time. Everything had been under control, so he didn’t panic.

Auric felt like he was trying to open a boiled egg. He first cracked it open before peeling it off.

Once the outer layer had been completely peeled off, Auric then pierced through the energy to disperse it from the inside.

At this point, Irvetta didn’t feel any more pain.

Her breathing had stabilized, which was a good sign.

Unlike Katarina’s condition, he let the energy that had been broken down return to her circulation.

”All right. We’re done.” Auric stepped back and observed Irvetta. ”But to make sure that everything is perfect, I would like you to perform your battle technique.”

”Huh?” Irvetta widened her eyes in shock.

Katarina suddenly came closer and whispered to her. She told her everything about her experience.

Katarina was also confused at first, but Auric had been doing the same thing to all his patients, so she thought it was just a routine.

Since Katarina was the one guaranteeing the situation, Irvetta nodded her head and followed Auric’s instructions.

She first used the rank 1 and rank 2 battle techniques, like Katarina did previously. After that, she tried the battle technique that caused all this mess. ”This feels great. What was the exact problem? It didn’t drain my energy anymore.”

”Imagine there was a big sphere in your hand. You were supposed to channel your energy into your hand, but because the sphere was in the way, you couldn’t do it properly.”

”The sphere dispersed it?”

”Yes, which was why you kept channeling your energy if you wanted to maintain it. The battle technique looked like it was forcing you to channel it, but the sphere made it impossible to contain it.”

”When I used this in the past, I could do it for 30 minutes at a time, but lately, it was only 8 minutes... So, that’s the reason.” Irvetta nodded. ”Do you need me to show anything else?”

”Thank you. That’s enough.” Auric raised three fingers. ”There are three things you might want to know. I want to ask this first. Do you plan to evolve within three months?”

Irvetta shook her head. ”No. There’s not enough time. I can probably evolve before advancing another year, but not anytime soon.”

”In that case, you have two options. First, never use that battle technique again, or it will start to accumulate again.”

”No way I can do that. If I don’t use this battle technique, my ranking will drop!”

”Vetta! Your health is much more important.” Belle pouted.

”In that case, that leaves us with a suggestion. First, if you still want to use this battle technique, make sure that you don’t absorb any energy from material within two weeks.”

”Two weeks?” Irvetta crossed her arms. ”I think I can do that, but why?”

”The answer is simple. Your battle technique creates the shell for the energy to accumulate. Looking at your situation, you like absorbing the energy from your hands, right?”

”That’s... true.” Irvetta never thought an evolution master could see this much from her.

”Well, even if you’re absorbing it with your mouth or even your feet, a portion of that energy will still flow to your hands. So, you need to abstain from using that power for two weeks if you wish to absorb energy.”

”I understand.” Irvetta nodded in understanding. She couldn’t train during that time, but that battle technique wasn’t the only thing she intended to train, so she believed she could manage.

”The second thing is massage. Every day, try to massage your hands. A simple circular rub like this is fine.”

”Will that even do anything?” Irvetta was bewildered.

”Yes. A simple thing that is underestimated by most people actually works wonders. It will slow down the rate of accumulation. If you are able to do these two steps, you should have a year before it will cause another problem.”

”That’s more than enough. I’m thankful for that advice.” Irvetta was truly amazed by Auric’s skill. Her sister, Belle, was already looking at Auric like a fan. ”What’s the third one?”

Auric smiled and extended his hand. ”Payment, please.”

Irvetta was taken aback. Even Katarina’s body shook.

Irvetta suddenly laughed. ”Hahahahaha. You are truly unique. Of course, I will definitely pay.”

”Please.” Auric opened the door, leading her to the cashier as Milinda took care of the payment.

He charged everything, from the treatment to the consultation. Irvetta was more than happy to pay.

”Thank you!” Irvetta waved her hand while walking away.

”Master Auric. I will definitely repay you for taking care of my sister!” Belle politely bowed to him.

Auric just waved his hand with a smile.

Katarina couldn’t help but ask, ”By the way, there’s one thing I’m confused about.”

”What is it?”

”How do you solve the problem by using the energy from the material and yourself?”

”I am using the Dual Fusion Method for this one. I don’t know if you have heard of it or not.”

”Dual Fusion Method... my friend had once mentioned it to me.” Katarina nodded. ”Still, didn’t you just combine two systems into one?”

”Sorry?” Auric raised his eyebrows.

”I’m talking about the energy from the material and your energy. Aren’t they different?”

”They are different, but the energy from the material has become passive because the beast is dead...” Auric suddenly fell silent, realizing what Katarina was trying to say.

Lindwurm raised one finger. ”Ah. The passive and active energy theories! What if we combine it with the Dual Fusion Method? Is it going to be possible? How are we going to create passive energy?”

’I can do that.’ Auric thought inwardly, answering Lindwurm. His eyes allowed him to understand the difference between passive and active energies. He could create passive energy by using his eyes. Auric said, ”Are you a genius, Katarina?”

”I am, but that’s not the point. Does it help?”

”Yes. It might work. But can you even discuss this?”

”I can. I am merely helping because I think you can do it. Besides, if the research is a success, I can also use it to grow even stronger. It’s a win-win situation for me.” Katarina nodded casually.

Auric crossed his arms and contemplated. ”I think it’s possible. Well, your bullets will have an easier time fusing. I guess I should speak to the professor about this.”

”If you’re asking me to join, I can talk to the professor about it. Besides, as long as you don’t reveal the entirety of the research, it will be fine to discuss it. And as I said before, I do this because I want to benefit from it as well. The research is just that interesting for my fighting style.”

Katarina looked adamant in creating her composite bullets. After seeing her fighting style before, Auric knew that the composite bullets would allow her to expand the variation. She would become even stronger after the research was completed.

Auric’s expression turned solemn. He was also excited about completing his ’Edict.’ At the same time, he couldn’t help but think, ’Maybe I should learn Japanese, Chinese, or Korean...’

”Huh? What? Why?”

’I’m thinking about using their writing system to create it. I mean, one or two characters can mean a word, right?’

”The number of strokes is the same, you know?” Lindwurm tilted his head in confusion.

’Yes, but the length is different.’

”Ah!” Lindwurm realized what he was aiming for. ”You plan to learn an entire language just to complete your battle technique?”
