MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 855: Flip-Flop

With the cause of her unhappiness now dead and gone, the cold look in her eyes and expression vanished completely, her smile returning with full vigor, radiating the unrestrained happiness she had been holding back just moments ago. A strange light flickered across her face, one that revealed not only relief but also a renewed desire for another battle, as though the battlefield itself existed solely to entertain her.

”Here to join the fun?” she suddenly spoke, her voice loud enough to cut through the lingering silence. Two eleven-winged Angels stood a few meters away from her. They had just killed a member of the Bone race and were about to search for another opponent, but they did not bother to move since Aura Nova had practically delivered herself to them on a silver platter.

Their golden eyes, filled with divine arrogance, narrowed upon her, yet they neither rushed nor hesitated, merely observed, confident in their overwhelming superiority.

From her space ring, a single flip-flop she had received from Aaaninja’s random reward box appeared. She held it with calm ease, her fingers curling around it as though wielding a legendary blade instead of a casual piece of human footwear. Mana seeped into it as she spoke with a light, yet chillingly playful tone, ”Let’s dance.”

At her words, the two eleven-winged Angels flapped their magnificent wings and shot forward in a burst of gold and white streaks, their weapons tearing toward Aura Nova from either side. A spear from the left, a sword from the right, both gleaming with divine light capable of erasing mortal civilizations.

Aura dodged the incoming spear thrust coming from the left with ridiculous ease, her body moving with fluid grace that mocked their divine speed. Then, with one linking motion, she dodged the sword coming from the right as though it was the easiest thing in existence. The two Angels did not speak; they simply increased their speed, but it was futile.

Aura’s hand blurred, and instantly, the flat underside of her flip-flop slammed into the divine face of the Angel holding the spear. Its head snapped sideways due to the force, an audible crack echoing across the battlefield. But before its mind could snap back into place, Aura moved again. Her flip-flop weapon slammed into the halo floating above its head, striking it directly with world-crushing force.

The Angel felt as though it had been hit by a planet rather than a flip-flop. Pain coursed through its entire skull as its brain shook violently within its head, its consciousness threatening to shut down entirely.

The second Angel closed in with disdainful eyes, its sword tearing toward Aura’s chin with lethal precision. Aura simply took a single step back, the blade slicing cleanly through the air where her head had been a fraction of a second prior.

”You are so eager to have a taste of these flip-flops, aren’t you? Jealous because only your partner is enjoying them?” Aura Nova teased as she dodged again, her voice dripping with playfulness. ”Don’t worry; it was simply first come, first served. It will get to you too,” she added with a smirk curling upon her lips.

Her hand blurred again, and with star-shattering force, the edge of her flip-flop slammed into the gut of the sword-wielding Angel. The air within the Angel’s lungs poured out from its mouth in a violent burst as it staggered, unable to withstand the impact. Saliva followed, splattering forward as its divine frame trembled, but Aura was far from done.

The fore-edge of her flip-flop rocketed upwards like a short sword. The Angel attempted to dodge, but its speed was leagues too slow compared to Aura’s. The flip-flop slammed into its jaw with a mind-numbing impact. Its teeth shattered outward due to the force of the attack, fragments scattering like shards of light.

The Angel felt its vision blur as though its brain was about to shut down entirely, but it resisted with sheer will, its belief in HIM keeping it conscious. But as the two Angels’ vision and consciousness snapped into place, all they saw was Aura Nova holding two flip-flops, one in each hand, standing between them, one flip-flop tearing toward each of their heads.

With sun-tearing burst, each flip-flop met their heads with a cataclysmic impact, the air screaming upon contact. The force and pressure of the attack sent them flying backward in opposite directions, their divine white and golden bodies ricocheting off the planet’s surface before they twisted and came to a sudden halt, their legs carving deep trenches into the planetary surface.

At the same time, their heads snapped toward Aura. The disdain in their golden eyes vanished for an instant as they stared at her in extreme shock. They could not believe it... they had just been overwhelmed by... flip-flops.

Aura Nova stood with a calm expression. She didn’t move; she simply smiled as she gazed down upon these two Angels. She could tell what they were thinking; she could feel the boiling humiliation swirling within them. But did she care? Absolutely not. She was having fun, that was all that mattered.

With anger-filled eyes, faith energy thundered outward from the Angels. Aura didn’t react; she simply waited.

Holy Flood.

As one of the Angels spoke, an apocalyptic, titanic wave of oceanic energy burst forth, instantly drowning the entirety of the planet. The flood tore toward Aura Nova in crushing waves and unimaginable force, bending the scape with divine pressure.

Aura simply stared for a moment, then an idea entered her mind. She smirked and implemented it immediately. She raised her hand, and instantly, from her space rings, thousands upon thousands of flip-flops ejected outward in a massive cascade.

Aura Nova’s voice rang out with a taunting tone.

Flip-Flop Wall.

The millions of flip-flops arranged themselves in perfect order, each snapping into position as they merged to form an enormous wall, their surfaces gleaming with mana. Aura’s energy poured into each flip-flop, fortifying them beyond their mundane origins.

And with crushing strength, the flood slammed into the flip-flop wall. The flip-flops trembled, but they held without breaking. The Angel could only grit its teeth at the humiliation of being stopped, blocked, by footwear.

The second Angel acted immediately, its voice resonating across the devastated terrain.

Black Hole.

Space twisted, crumbled, then shattered. The void yawned open as a colossal force began sucking in everything within sight. Aura Nova’s hair whipped violently as she felt the gravitational pull dragging at her body.

The next moment, her playful smile turned into an even more playful grin. She vanished, twisting the fabric of the void itself, escaping the pull of the black hole. But the instant she disappeared, the Angel controlling the Holy Flood appeared in her place, they had swapped positions with a single activation of her Omniedit ability.

The Angel now standing before the black hole felt pure horror clutch its divine visage. Its golden eyes widened with speechless disbelief. It tried to flap its wings, but the gravitational pull was far too strong; it was standing directly in front of the collapsing void.

Faith energy thundered as it tried to manipulate space, but space no longer existed in this region. It could do nothing but be sucked in and get devoured. Aura removed her flip-flop wall, and the Holy Flood was devoured as well before the black hole snapped shut and vanished.

The remaining Angel stood speechless. It could see the human it had intended to destroy, but its partner was gone, erased. It didn’t need to be told what had happened. Its own ability had turned against its kin.

”Don’t be angry. I’ll send you to him real quick,” Aura’s voice chimed, her tone playful and teasing. The last Angel was about to lash out in divine fury, but before it could, Aura was already before it. The flip-flop in her hand tore into the left side of the Angel’s chest with sickening ease. The flip-flop ripped through flesh and bone as it punctured through the Angel’s heart and erupted out its back.

The light in its golden eyes vanished the next split second as Aura Nova ended its existence, with nothing more than a flip-flop.
