Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 776 Bella Is The Boss

Previously, both factions had their supporters, with some undecided parties staying neutral. Now that heʼd switched sides, his stance was crystal clear.

The equity liquidation passed smoothly, meaning Ocean Group would officially be split. If anyone objected, they could choose to sell their shares to others.

But who would sell? Aside from the smaller ventures, Ocean Palace, Ocean World, and the private kitchen restaurant were all highly profitable.

Plus the hotels theyʼd invested in were all well-established—they were practically money printers.

Ocean Group was a cash cow. Everyone wanted to keep their shares for dividends. Only a fool would sell.

The equity liquidation was just a smokescreen... Immediately afterward, a vote on personnel appointments took place.

”You... youʼre colluding... youʼre all in cahoots, trying to steal our familyʼs legacy!”

Leokʼs eyes were bloodshot, trembling in disbelief. Aside from himself, every single shareholder had turned against him.

-----

After Bella was appointed President of Ocean Group, Leon Yong took the position of First Executive Director, General Manager of the Group, and Vice President...

Meanwhile, Leok, who held 8% of the shares ranking third, didnʼt even secure a single seat on the board of directors.

”Leok, thatʼs not quite right to say.”

”A wise man knows when to adapt to the times... If youʼre not satisfied, you can always sell your shares. There are plenty of people willing to take them off your hands.”

Leok nearly spat out a mouthful of blood. After the equity liquidation, a new clause had been added.

They had finally managed to buy back the shares in Tiger Real Estate, so to ensure the stable operation of Ocean Group, shareholders who wanted to sell their shares could only sell to other shareholders, not to outsiders.

Now it was clear that everyone was siding with that bitch. Even if he was willing to sell, no one would offer a good price.

Of course, he could also pledge the shares to a bank, but that would require approval from the board of directors...

From now on, aside from dividends, Leok would have no rights whatsoever—this effectively expelled him completely from the core of power.

When the meeting ended, Leokʼs face was ashen with despair.

Bella never once glanced at him. With a triumphant smile, she turned and left.

The Presidentʼs Office remained hers. To her, this was the victory she had sought.

Back in the office, Luis was lounging in the executive chair, smoking idly. As the door opened, he grinned and said, ”Went smoothly, didnʼt it?”

”Everything went perfectly!”

Bellaʼs pretty face was flushed with excitement.

”Brother-in-law!!”

Leon Yong followed behind her and greeted Luis with great respect.

Bellaʼs face grew even redder. Luis felt a bit awkward being addressed that way and said, ”Long time no see.”

”Yeah, Brother-in-law, Iʼll get to work now.”

Leon Yong gave a gentle smile. ”I still need to familiarize myself with the groupʼs operations, so I wonʼt disturb you. If youʼre free sometime, feel free to invite me out for a meal.”

With that, he walked out. Bella stepped forward, leaning against Luis with a smile. ”Darling, should I scold you for meddling in my affairs?”

”Given our relationship, your business is my business. How is that meddling?”

Luis grinned lecherously, pulling her into a kiss. Bella closed her eyes and responded with intoxicated passion, allowing the man to roam his hands over her body through her clothes.

What had seemed like a monumental battle over the Leon family inheritance was swiftly resolved within two or three days once a mysterious force intervened.

It was a complete and utter rout—Leok was crushed with no chance of recovery. This once again made Bella realize how wonderful it felt to have someone as her pillar of support.

Bella didnʼt have much attachment to the Leon family name anyway. She was fighting for her motherʼs legacy and for her own future.

In truth, she wasnʼt a career woman, nor a workaholic—she was a free spirit who hated being tied down by work.

Her younger brother Leon Yong had previously stepped back, unwilling to clash with their older brother, choosing to withdraw instead.

Now that he was back, he was actually the most suitable person to hold power. Everyone was reassured that he, as Vice President, would manage the groupʼs operations—at least half the shareholders thought so.

Their eldest brother Leok was hot-tempered, uneducated, sometimes a complete idiot, and lacking in depth.

Bella... as a woman who had lived and studied abroad, had little prestige and was also an extreme feminist.

Leon Yong was the preferred choice in everyoneʼs eyes—even Bella herself thought so.

The operations of Ocean Group were handed over to Leon Yong, while Bella, following Hailʼs arrangements, returned to the Taiga family in her capacity as the legal wife.

Luis didnʼt have time to deal with all that nonsense. Since the mission to ”Turn the Tables” was temporarily stalled, he had to start working on other tasks.

He scrolled through the mission panel for a while, then smiled wickedly as he found his target.

But then something unexpected happened. His mother-in-law called, sounding somewhat annoyed. ”Son-in-law, I need to discuss something with you.”

It turned out that the house in Arthurʼs hometown was nearly finished. If the renovation went as planned, they could move in next month.

Before moving in, of course, furniture and appliances needed to be purchased. Grandma Wood was quite open-minded and didnʼt meddle in these matters, but she wanted to keep her old furniture for her own room.

The estate was about three acres in size, built like a small manor.

Aside from the standard reinforced concrete, other materials were sourced from inventory theyʼd had in storage.

The tiles, some decorations, and furniture were all built from the stockpile Arthur had accumulated before he decided to quit the business.

That said, the rooms and basic facilities were all quite complete, but they still needed to buy furniture and appliances according to each personʼs room.

Suzanne took the initiative to make a friendly gesture, carefully asking her mother-in-law if she would like to go furniture shopping together.

After all, she didnʼt dare make decisions on her own about common areas like the courtyard, living room, and dining room.

”Mom, thatʼs not bad at all. At least she knows to show you respect.”

Luis couldnʼt help but tease.

”Bullshit! I donʼt want to have anything to do with her or Arthur.”

Her mother-in-law was blunt. ”I know exactly what heʼs scheming. He thinks Grandmaʼs getting old and soft-hearted, so he wants to play happy family.”

”No fucking need! Although I donʼt hate her anymore, I canʼt be bothered with Arthur either.”

”But if I agree, Iʼd be lowering myself. Now Iʼm thinking—sheʼs already made the offer, and I donʼt want to lose face...”

”Goddammit! That vixen is being so gracious. If I make a scene now, Iʼll look petty and bitter, like Iʼm still hung up on it.”

Her mother-in-lawʼs frustration wasnʼt completely irrational. Sheʼd long lost any feelings for Arthur, but the resentment of raising three daughters on her own while he was off with his mistress still lingered.

Especially since Arthur had only ever given her a meager allowance while that bitch enjoyed all the benefits during his wealthy days.

She couldnʼt swallow that anger. Sheʼd called because flipping out would make her look petty.

What made her even angrier was that this mistress was pushing her luck. Yes, sheʼd been invited to the villa housewarming before.

But that was mainly for the sake of her daughters and her own pride. Now that woman actually thought they were on good terms and was making such an outrageous request—it was too much.

Her mother-in-law was furious. She asked the three sisters in the family group chat for their opinions.

Leah, the youngest, was completely ignored. Lily said the most important thing was that Mom didnʼt get too upset—whatever she decided, theyʼd support.

Lily was generally easygoing and didnʼt have strong feelings about her fatherʼs mistress.

”Mom, Lilyʼs right. The most important thing is that you donʼt stress yourself out.”

”If itʼs too much, just divorce Dad...”

Her older sister Nancy, who was clearly Arthurʼs favorite little girl and practically a spy, should have taken his side.

But she knew her motherʼs personality well, so she deliberately used reverse psychology.

And sure enough, her mother was like a powder keg ready to explode.

”Bullshit! So they can live happily ever after? No way Iʼm giving them that satisfaction.”

”But youʼre right. If I make a scene now, Iʼll look like a bitter, resentful wife—way too low-class. I absolutely canʼt let them look down on me.”

”Iʼll just tough it out for one day. What else can I do? Damn it, Iʼm not scared!”

The reverse psychology worked perfectly. Her mother-in-law decided not to make a scene—not only that, but she planned to act just like she did at the housewarming.

No matter how awkward the smiles, theyʼd keep to their own sides and stay out of each otherʼs business. That was the dignity of a proper wife.
