Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 775 Shares In The Company

Bella was stunned. From her perspective, she had never considered that scenario.

But from Luisʼs standpoint, Hailʼs words had served as a wake-up call. Even if he had no interest in the Leon familyʼs affairs, having already stepped in, abruptly withdrawing would be wrong.

”Do you consider me your man?”

Luis posed the soul-searching question.

”Obviously... Iʼve sucked your dick...”

Bella remained unabashed, though her face flushed as she realized sheʼd been too loud.

With a seductive glare, Bella rarely lowered her head in embarrassment.

Nina tried to soothe Bella. ”Darling, I think Luis is right. This isnʼt the time to be stubborn.”

”This concerns your and Rococoʼs foundation for survival. Since you decided to fight from the start and said youʼd use any means necessary...”

”Now that we have someone to rely on, whatʼs wrong with that?”

Bella hesitated, then finally said, ”Have you lost your mind? Donʼt forget he has a wife and plenty of other women. Our relationship isnʼt proper.”

Luis chuckled. ”Youʼre quite traditional, arenʼt you? And now youʼre being difficult?”

Bella shyly lowered her head. ”Anyway... I just want to compete with Leok. If things get really tough, then you can help me, okay?”

”Alright!”

That was just Bellaʼs personality—strong-willed and extreme. As long as there werenʼt any major obstacles, no one could talk her out of her stubbornness.

After breakfast, Luis left first. After all, the women were busy enough as it was.

They had to deal with the internal Leon family strife, and as Leokʼs legal wife, Bella also had to intervene in Dominicʼs critical illness.

Even with a prenuptial agreement in place, there were still loopholes to exploit. As for how things would unfold from here, Luis couldnʼt be bothered.

Now he had seven blind boxes in hand. Luis was itching to try his luck—such a windfall was rare.

And with things going smoothly, the System had eliminated many useless rewards through upgrades. It was time to test his luck.

After returning home, Luis bathed and purified himself, then paid his respects to the household deity.

Unable to contain himself any longer, he lay down on the bed, closed his eyes, and opened the System interface.

”Ding... Do you wish to open the random blind box?”

”Open!”

Luis felt as though he was suddenly floating midair, or more precisely, as if he were submerged in water.

Lines of code of varying sizes drifted around him like fish, clearer and more vibrant than before.

He looked around, once again afflicted by choice paralysis. Gritting his teeth, he grabbed one of them.

”Ding... Congratulations, Host has obtained the item: The Curse of the Wage Slave!”

Luis wondered what kind of strange item this was. It didnʼt look like something out of Doraemonʼs magical pocket, so he immediately read the instruction manual.

”Wage Slave: The Host can activate the Inflictor to designate a target and cause them to have a traffic accident.”

Luis realized this was incredibly practical. The Curse of the Wage Slave—aimed at office workers, salarymen, the downtrodden corporate drones.

It must have been born from deep workplace resentment, the kind where you often think, ”Why donʼt you just get hit by a car?” Usually directed at managers or bosses.

Reading further, he discovered the accident was flawlessly executed—with Earthʼs current technology, absolutely no irregularities could be detected.

Moreover, the severity of the accident could be controlled by Luis when activating it:

Major (death), Medium (permanent disability), Minor (light injuries), Micro (a close call).

He could also set the date and time, specifying the accident to occur on any day within the next week.

Holy shit, after the System upgrade, these items were far more reliable. The features were well-rounded and the instructions were very detailed.

With something like this, who would dare to cross him? Theyʼd either end up draped in a white sheet or be sent to the hospital to lie around for a year or two.

Luis cracked his knuckles, eager to open another box.

But his momentum was interrupted by a call from Hail. Following the address heʼd been given, Luis made his way to the cityʼs First Hospital.

”Dominic went into surgery this morning and came out conscious, but thatʼs not a good sign.”

Hail was smoking in the fire escape corridor. ”Mayor Waller just visited him and has now called a meeting with the Taiga family and the other shareholders of Tiger Real Estate.”

”The final rally before the end,” Luis remarked, lighting a cigarette for himself.

Hail nodded. ”Thatʼs what it looks like. So we need to prepare for the worst.”

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes. ”The real worry is that once he dies, his brothers and two sons will tear each other apart. Add the other shareholders to the mix, and everyone fighting for themselves will turn everything into a complete mess.”

Luis said nothing, simply smoking in silence. Hail patted his shoulder and said, ”Weʼre on the same side here, so letʼs speak plainly.”

”We can control the situation. What Iʼm afraid of is those incompetent fools running Tiger Real Estate into the ground.”

”Dominic finally managed to push the Leon family out. The next step should have been consolidating all the business operations, but his body wonʼt allow it.”

”His two sons—youʼve met David. Heʼs practically a mental case now...”

”The other son is studying abroad. Even if he comes back, he wonʼt be able to keep the others in line...”

”So now, we have to rely on Bella—his legal wife—to legitimately take over his authority and complete the transition and handover.”

Luis was a bit taken aback. ”Can she handle it???”

”Heh. Sheʼll have to, whether she can or not. It all depends on whoʼs backing her.”

Hailʼs expression turned cold. ”Luis, the project to integrate Tiger Real Estateʼs resources with the Leon familyʼs and push for an IPO was originally led by President Ye himself.”

”Failing that IPO was already a huge loss of face for him. Now Mayor Waller has taken over, and if the restructuring fails again, the consequences will be severe.”

”But what about Ocean Group??”

Luis hesitated. Bellaʼs goal was to claim her share of the Leon family assets. Was it realistic for her to divert her energy to Tiger Real Estate right now?

”Ocean Group...”

Hail squinted. ”Thatʼs simple. All Bella wants is her inheritance. Even if she gets it, it doesnʼt mean she can actually manage Ocean Group properly.”

Luis didnʼt know exactly how that meeting went or what was discussed.

But soon, a working group was dispatched to Ocean Group to audit their tax records over the years.

Before long, many people were privately summoned for questioning. The content of those meetings was kept confidential, but one thing was certain—all the shareholders had drastically changed their attitudes overnight.

What was supposed to be a meeting to discuss the selection of a president suddenly shifted to a discussion of Ocean Groupʼs equity liquidation.

”What???”

Inside the conference room, Leok sat in his wheelchair, his face twisted with rage. ”We havenʼt gone bankrupt. What liquidation?”

Their still-living uncle, Leon Boshan, who held 5% of Ocean Groupʼs shares, chuckled lightly. ”Leok, Ocean Group doesnʼt belong solely to your branch of the family. The three of you siblings together only hold 32% of the shares.”

”And you hold the smallest share of the three!”

At that, Leok was absolutely livid.

When the old man passed, heʼd been out of his mind—no one knew how Bella had sweet-talked him, but heʼd evenly split his 36% stake among his three children.

Logically, each should have had 12%. But Leok had sold off a portion due to his lavish spending, leaving him with only 8%.

The other two still held their 12%. So in everyoneʼs eyes, Leok was just a worthless, spendthrift failure.

What enraged Leok most was that this uncle had always been a staunch traditionalist who had previously supported him as the eldest son to inherit the family business.

But the truth was, Leokʼs biological mother had died early. Leon Yong and Bella were full siblings, sharing the same mother. Though they had never been close, blood was ultimately thicker than water.

Even after their grandmother passed, the distance between them hadnʼt really created any rift.

Leon Boshan said casually, ”Ladies and gentlemen, this concerns our own interests. Since the board meeting is in session, weʼll put it to a vote.”

”If we let you keep making a mess of things, our interests will keep suffering.”

As one of the founding members, Leon Boshan carried significant weight.
