Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 430: Auction

At this moment, David stood proudly with his arm around the beaming Deewa, sweeping his gaze across the room with an air of triumphant return. His pure, domineering kingly aura came off as rather cringe-inducing.

”Brother-in-law, this is an occasion for showing support,” Luis whispered, pressing his point. ”Selling something worth 10,000 for 5,000 is embarrassing. But selling something worth 10,000 for 100,000? That’s a matter of face. So rest assured. Just treat it as playing along.”

”That’s true,” Daniel mused, seemingly lost in thought.

The gossipy women behind her were also excitedly discussing, ”This commemorative edition is still on display in the domestic flagship stores. After the display period ends, only VIPs with very high loyalty points will be eligible to purchase it.”

”Yes, I even checked on international websites. They say these are auction-grade pieces, all custom-made. I never imagined someone would be willing to put one up for auction.”

”The price has to be at least 60,000 dollars, I remember. If it’s bought for 40,000 dollars, that bitch Deewa could make a profit just by reselling it.”

These words made Nancy feel even worse. She had sent that emoji precisely because she couldn’t stand Deewa showing off in front of so many people.

Even though the price of the bag was far beyond her reach, an utterly unrealistic sum, in the past, she would have left early to avoid seeing that smug face.

But now, the fairy-like sister-in-law, deeply in love, was unwilling to back down. Gazing at the handsome yet infuriating guy sitting in the third row, she had sent the emoji almost as if possessed.

What Luis said when he came over filled her heart with sweetness. There was nothing quite like this kind of telepathic understanding.

This sweetness also helped her calm down a little. She wondered if it was really necessary to compete like this. Would her actions put her brother-in-law in a difficult position? After all, it was such a large amount of money.

Sometimes, good fortune arrives exactly when you need it. The auctioneer, seeing the enthusiastic crowd from moments ago had now fallen silent with no one bidding, acted promptly.

With professional dedication, the auctioneer immediately chuckled charmingly, ”Everyone, this commemorative edition bag is a globally limited release. Only ten will be available for public sale domestically, making it an item of immense collectible value.”

”This lot has been generously donated by President Leon of the Ocean Gestor Palace Hotel. It is a cherished personal item contributed for this noble charitable cause. We encourage everyone to bid enthusiastically.”

This divine intervention immediately put Daniel at ease.

He didn’t ask many questions. After glancing at his wife’s intimate demeanor with his brother-in-law, he simply said, ”Then go ahead and bid. You can have this seat. I need to use the restroom anyway.”

With that, he made his escape, likely to avoid being seen by David, since they were, after all, relatives from the same ancestral lineage.

Luis immediately sat down with a cheerful smile, placing his hand directly on Nancy’s thigh and caressing it. This scene left the classmates behind them utterly stunned.

The man who just left was her husband, right? So who was this? This was far too brazen. Had social morals really deteriorated to this extent?

Even within their circle of so-called ”green tea” friends, where moral boundaries were already low, they would now hypocritically look down on her. Such a seamless transition was simply too much.

Encouraged, the fairy sister-in-law couldn’t be bothered with the opinions of the gossipy women behind her. She directly raised the bidding paddle from the table and called out, ”42,000 dollars!”

Finally, someone broke the silence. All eyes turned toward her, and Nancy felt a brief moment of stage fright under their collective gaze.

Luis patted her thigh gently and smiled reassuringly. ”Big sister, no need to be nervous. Remember, we are determined to win this bag today. I will absolutely not allow you to suffer any slight.”

Nancy’s face softened with emotion, nearly moved to tears. The most tender part of the fairy sister-in-law’s heart had been touched. She, too, was defenseless against such domineeringly sweet words.

Luis immediately added with a serious tone, ”Of course, if my Mother-in-law scolds you, you’ll just have to bear that particular grievance. Don’t drag me into it.”

”You devil. So annoying. You ruin the mood,” Nancy cooed in a sugary voice, so sweet it surprised even herself. In that moment, she desperately wanted to throw herself into his arms for some proper intimacy.

She was the center of attention. After only a fleeting discomfort, she lifted her head high like a proud peacock, revealing a confident and strikingly beautiful smile.

Many in the crowd were astonished. Who would dare to cross David like this? Who on earth was this?

The female classmates behind them all looked at Luis with gleaming eyes. A shared glance confirmed it: this was the legendary sugar daddy everyone dreamed of.

The wealthy young patron who bought Nancy a Cayenne, a G-Class, and reportedly piles of luxury goods and jewelry.

Faced with a sugar daddy like this, forget about a husband, they’d divorce in a heartbeat to serve him. If he had other women, they’d even go help their ’sisters’ during postpartum confinement.

David and Deewa also turned to look. It was a case of enemies meeting, eyes blazing with recognition.

When Deewa saw it was Nancy who had bid, her smile instantly froze. The hatred in her eyes was utterly unconcealed.

When David saw it was Luis, his anger flared even hotter. Young Master David hadn’t yet avenged the humiliation from last time, and now this guy was publicly slapping his face again. What kind of deep-seated grudge warranted such direct confrontation?

Burning with rage, David immediately raised his paddle. ”45,000 dollars!”

Nancy instinctively glanced at Luis. Seeing the man’s affectionate gaze, she instantly felt an immeasurable sense of security.

She offered Deewa a benign smile and raised her paddle again. ”47,000 dollars.”

In settings where one must maintain decorum, even if it’s hypocritical, sometimes a friendly smile is far more damaging than a look of mockery.

”What if we drive up the price and then drop out, making him lose money?” Right after calling her bid, Nancy leaned in, covering her mouth with her hand, and flashed a mischievous grin.

The usually aloof and elegant fairy sister-in-law rarely showed such playful moments. While venting her anger was important, the primary reason for this idea was her concern about the money.

Given her family’s financial standing, carrying a bag worth tens of thousands of dollars was something she wouldn’t even dare to imagine.

Even if they backed out in the end, making David pay a heavier price would be satisfying. Of course, given her competitive nature, she was somewhat unwilling to simply concede defeat.

”Big sister is so wicked. But I like it. Though it does make us look a bit cowardly,” Luis said, grabbing her hand under the table. He intertwined their fingers and then whispered hot breath into her ear, ”This bag is yours. Be bolder. As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters. You can just give me a little reward later.”

”What reward? I’m not worth that much even if you sold me,” the fairy sister-in-law murmured, already sinking into this tender, honeyed affection, a sweetness amplified by a domineering financial offensive. How many women could possibly resist?

Especially since Luis wasn’t some pot-bellied old man, but a rather handsome, muscular young stud.

The women behind them wore expressions of envy, jealousy, and resentment, exchanging meaningful glances, each secretly scheming about how to snatch him away.

”Go home and get your little asshole cleaned up. Your brother-in-law is going to break it in for you...” His voice was extremely low.

Upon hearing this, Nancy’s face flushed. She shot Luis a seductive, sidelong glance but made no verbal protest, which was practically an open invitation.

David’s expression showed a flicker of hesitation before he gritted his teeth and raised his paddle again. ”50,000 dollars!”

Just as Nancy was about to raise her paddle, Luis said offhandedly, ”Just bid 60,000. Don’t dawdle with him. It makes us look as petty as he is.”

After a slight hesitation, the obedient fairy sister-in-law chose to comply. She raised her paddle and called out, ”60,000 dollars!”

This bid caused a stir throughout the room. Everyone understood that raising the bid by 10,000 dollars in one go signaled absolute determination. Moreover, it clearly indicated a malicious competition aimed solely at undermining the opponent’s dignity.

The discord between the Taiga and Leon families was a complicated matter, not solely stemming from the strange situation between Bella and Dominic.

It wouldn’t be surprising for them to openly clash like this. It seemed the other side was there to support Bella; otherwise, they wouldn’t so blatantly disregard David’s face.

Seeing Luis take a seat on the other side, Dominic’s expression turned somewhat unpleasant, and he immediately looked toward Hail.

Hail maintained his usual businesslike, polite smile, sipping his tea with an air of detached serenity, as if completely unconcerned with matters beyond the immediate surroundings.

But Dominic’s heart began to pound irregularly. That bitch surnamed Leon was truly ruthless. She was clearly a perverted lesbian, yet she went and seduced men herself.

This current move was undoubtedly orchestrated by her. Even though they had superficially reconciled, seeing her still harboring such obvious resentment would inevitably color Hail’s perception.

If Hail’s judgment became biased, then the advantageous position Dominic and the Leon brothers had painstakingly built together would be completely lost.
