Chapter 893 - Broken System

The group wasnʼt sure what they should think about this. They had agreed that they wouldnʼt reveal their origins, but the Spirit Lord seemed to know. He had also said that their origin wasnʼt an issue.

Yet, what if he was lying? What if he just wanted to probe them?

”I donʼt think heʼs lying,” Sebastian transmitted. ”I have been noticing something peculiar, but I just thought that this was normal.”

”What did you notice?” Star Genesis asked.

”This worldʼs Elemental Dimension is surprisingly empty,” Sebastian transmitted. ”My Lightning Elemental hasnʼt seen a single other Elemental this entire time. Thatʼs very unusual.”

When Manny heard that, his brows narrowed. ”I see, that explains things. I understand why nobody has returned from this place, even with the support of Humanity, Sebastian, you can tell him,” Manny transmitted, referring to Sebastian by his true name.

Some people might notice that it was unusual for Sebastian to share his real name. After all, everyone said that sharing oneʼs true name was bad, which was true. By knowing someoneʼs true name, a Seeker who was knowledgeable in the Laws of Karmic Luck could find the location of all their Avatars.

However, this only became relevant later. Only Immortals knew this much about Karmic Luck, and more importantly, when someone created their Avatars, they stopped having an original body. A new individual would be born, and one could change oneʼs true name during that process.

”Alright,” Sebastian transmitted before turning to the Spirit Lord. ”Yes, Iʼve noticed something peculiar. Your Elemental Dimension is basically empty.”

The Spirit Lord nodded slowly. ”Do you realize what this means for the world?”

Most of the team wasnʼt entirely sure. They had heard that the Elemental Dimension stabilized the Elements, but they werenʼt sure what this meant exactly.

Manny jumped in and explained it, and when the team heard the explanation, they truly realized how dire the situation was.

”There are no Law Wells,” Manny said.

Kyle almost couldnʼt believe what he was hearing.

No Law Wells?

But then, how were they supposed to comprehend Laws?

”Thatʼs correct,” the Spirit Lord confirmed. ”Itʼs not that we do not wish to comprehend Laws. We know that we need Laws to become Immortal. Itʼs just that we canʼt.”

”Wait, canʼt we just make one?” Kyle asked. ”Iʼve created a bunch of Law Wells in the past.”

Manny shook his head. ”Thatʼs feasible for Minor Laws, but it wonʼt work for any Level Four or stronger Law.”

”Why not?” Kyle asked.

”The Elemental Dimension and the Main Dimension are separated, but Elemental Energies can travel across the barrier easily,” Manny explained. ”A big part of dispersing Elemental Energies travels back and forth between the two Dimensions. The Elemental Dimensionʼs draw on Elemental Energies is greater than the draw of the Main Dimension.”

”An Elemental Dimension is supposed to be filled with chaotic and dense Elemental Energies. When the Elemental Dimension is filled with Elemental Energies, the Elemental Energies you have summoned will primarily stay within the Main Dimension.”

”If the Elemental Dimension needs more Elemental Energies, it pulls in more Elemental Energies from the Main Dimension to feed the Elemental Dimension. This strengthens the Elemental Energies and increases the density of Elemental Energies.”

”Elementals travel through the Elemental Dimension, consuming Elemental Energies to make themselves stronger. Loose Elemental Energy easily scatters and disperses, since there are no Elementals that consume them. This keeps the Elemental Energies dense and stable.”

”Now, if there are no Elementals, any Elemental Energy traveling to the Elemental Dimension will just scatter and disperse, turning into Neutral Energy eventually. Metaphorically, if nobody eats the food, it spoils and becomes inedible.”

”A Law Well gathers a great amount of Elemental Energies to create a self-sustaining effect. Enough with Gravity Wind, all the Wind and Gravity Energy in the surroundings will gather and fuse, making more Gravity Wind. Thatʼs how it works when you have a healthy Elemental Dimension.”

”However, if you were to create a Law Well in this world, you would notice that the Gravity Wind would disperse over ten times faster. At the same time, you would also notice that thereʼs barely any Wind Energy in the surroundings it can draw in.”

”You canʼt have a self-sustaining Law Well. Additionally, creating a Law Well by converting Energy Stones would cost you over a hundred times more Energy Stones than normal since the Elemental Energies disperse this quickly.”

Manny shook his head. ”We need an Elemental Dimension thatʼs filled with Elemental Energy to create Law Wells. However, if we dump Elemental Energies into the Elemental Dimension, they will just disperse since there are no Elementals that consume them. This means the Elemental Dimension remains devoid of Elemental Energies.”

Kyle took a deep breath. ”So, we need Elementals, right? Can we make them?”

Sebastian has one. Canʼt he make more?”

Manny shook his head again. ”Making Elementals isnʼt hard. From time to time, new Elementals awaken in the Elemental Dimension. However, these new Elementals are weak and canʼt stay alive for long. They need Elemental Energies to grow stable. Yet, since the Elemental Dimension has almost no Elemental Energies, these newborn Elementals will just die and disperse again.”

Star Genesis looked at Manny with a serious expression. ”Is there a way to fix this?”

”The way to fix this isnʼt very complicated,” Manny said. ”We just need to go to the Elemental Dimension, find a newborn Elemental, feed it with Elemental Energy until it becomes stable, repeat that process a couple of times, and eventually, we have a self-sustaining population of Elementals that keeps growing.”

”But we canʼt do that here.”

Kyle raised an eyebrow. ”Why not?”

”Go ahead and try,” Manny said.

Kyle focused on the Dimensional Barriers and tried to break through them.

Yet, he very quickly realized that descending Dimensions was impossible.

The feeling he got was identical to the feeling he got when he tried to descend a Dimension in the Hell Dimension.

There was no Dimension below them.

So, Kyle looked upward, trying to ascend a Dimension. The feeling he got was familiar to him once again. It felt identical to when he tried to ascend to the Elemental Dimension while inside the Hell Dimension.

That was when Kyle realized the problem. ”The Main Dimension in this world is the lowest Dimension!”

Manny nodded. ”Tertiary, Secondary, and Primary Worlds are inexperienced. They do not know how reality works. If you allow a Peak Mortal to go to the Elemental Dimension in a Tertiary World, they might harvest all Elementals inside, not knowing that this would forever cripple their world.”

”This is not an issue in the Supreme World since there are even Elementals in the Eleventh and Twelfth Realm. The only people who can threaten the Supreme Worldʼs Elemental Dimension are people who know how the entire Cosmos works and wonʼt benefit a lot from killing any of these Elementals.”

Mannyʼs brows furrowed. ”This entire world is broken, and this is not something we can fix ourselves. You could view it as needing administrative rights to fix this problem.”

”Administrative rights?” Kyle thought, remembering something.

”Can the Overseer fix the world?” Kyle asked.

Manny nodded. ”The Overseer can fix this easily.”

Kyle furrowed his brows. ”Does this world not have an Overseer?”

”Impossible!” Manny said.

”Why?” Kyle asked. ”Iʼve heard about worlds that donʼt have an Overseer.”

”Yes, but these worlds had no humans whatsoever!” Manny said. ”If this world truly had no Overseer and the inhabitants, for some reason, didnʼt count as humans...”

”One of us would have become the Overseer as soon as we arrived.”
