Chapter 864 - Sending Messages

The Elemental Energies around this sphere were intense. There were also a lot of Law Diagrams, but strangely enough, the Law Diagrams appeared… incomplete.

Whenever Law Diagrams appeared on the other spheres, they came in a set. Certain Law Diagrams were always accompanied by other Law Diagrams belonging to the same set.

Yet, on this sphere, it was different. It was like the Law Diagrams appeared without any pattern. One could also say that the sets were incomplete. On top of that, the Law Diagrams representing Imposing Laws were also strange. The Law Diagrams of the Imposing Laws were accompanied by Law Diagrams from other sets, which didnʼt happen when Kyle looked at the other spheres.

ʼIt looks too normal to be an Experimental World, but itʼs also too strange to be completely normal.ʼ

”I think this is a normal world that has changed too much,” Kyle said. ”Something in this world makes it brutally hard to ascend, but it shouldnʼt be like this. Something is wrong.”

The Lord nodded. ”This is the same conclusion all of the Peak Organizations have come to,” he said. ”Compared to other unknown worlds, this one seems deceptively easy. Since this should be a regular world, it shouldnʼt be difficult to ascend. You just need to send a talented Disciple into this world. The Disciple already knows what they need to do to ascend. As long as they keep advancing, they will eventually ascend. After all, theyʼre from the Supreme World. They know what they need to do to become powerful.”

”And yet, nobody has ever succeeded,” the Lord said. ”Over the years, millions of regular Sages and thousands of Sages, who had been Legendary Crushers previously, had been sent. No one has ever returned or become the Overseer.”

”It shouldnʼt be the fault of the worldʼs Energy Density. It draws more Energy than the average Primary World, but itʼs still very much in the norm. It canʼt be a certain Realm Requirement. Worlds that only allow Unique Seekers to advance also only accept Unique Seekers. You canʼt send a Sage, who had previously been a Fulfilled Crusher, into a Primary World that only allows Unique Seekers to advance.”

”This world accepts any Seeker. Even the ones who have advanced with the bare minimum. Even stranger, the World Cluster of this unknown Primary World shows no issues. Any Seeker entering one of its Secondary or Tertiary Worlds says that everything was as expected. Standard Laws. Standard advancement. Standard beast to human ratio. ”

”We also know that this world canʼt be another Pseudo-Beast World. The number of Law Diagrams is normal, and beasts canʼt understand Laws before they become Immortal Beasts. This means thereʼs a healthy population of human Seekers, who are also regularly fighting.”

”The world doesnʼt show signs of being in an extinction war, but it also doesnʼt show signs of a world without conflict. Except for the strange Law Fluctuations, everything appears normal.”

”And yet, nobody has ever come back from this world.”

Kyle furrowed his brows. For some reason, he felt like this world was familiar to him.

”Hey,” Sebastian said from the side, nudging Kyle. ”Donʼt you think this sounds like our Tertiary World?”

Kyleʼs eyes widened as he realized why the world felt so familiar.

Right, the descriptions the Lord had given about the world sounded similar to how one would describe their old Tertiary World from the outside.

Everything was normal, but nobody ascended.

But then, Kyle furrowed his brows. ”I can see the similarity, but the comparison doesnʼt work. The issue with our world was the existence of rituals. However, that doesnʼt work here. Our Aspects of Power canʼt be made stronger via some kind of ritual. Thousands of talented Seekers, who knew how to become powerful, were sent there. If such a talented Seeker were sent to our Tertiary World, they would become the Overseer with relative ease.”

”Yet, none of the Seekers ever returned from this world.”

”If itʼs a meta thing, they would simply adapt. They would follow the meta to a degree that gives them a lot of power, but wouldnʼt follow it enough so that it can cannibalize their growth. Something else must be wrong.”

Sebastian scratched his chin before shrugging. ”Well, if itʼs not that, I donʼt know what it can be. Anyway, I would be down for going to this world. Sounds interesting.”

Kyle sighed. ʼSounds quite risky, but I have to agree with Sebastian. It does sound exciting. Also, even if we canʼt ascend, I can still somewhat fulfill my dream of having agency. As long as Iʼm the strongest person in this Primary World, I will finally have agency.ʼ

But then, Kyle thought about the two warring Gods. ʼBut my life would still be in their hands. If God number one wins, he will most likely eradicate everyone who has Death inside them, which includes me. If God number two wins, the entire Cosmos gets destroyed, including the world Iʼm in.ʼ

ʼYeah, well, beggars canʼt be choosers. Might as well go.ʼ

”Sure, Iʼm fine with going to that world,” Kyle said. ”You said that I can also ask my friends to accompany us, right?”

The Lord nodded. ”Right now, the Secondary Sector is heavily monitored, and the Array of Stars keeps your friends under surveillance. If youʼre still alive, they know that you will try to get into contact with them.”

”For now, you should focus on becoming a Legendary Crusher. Your friends also need time to become Legendary Crushers. When one of your friends becomes a Legendary Crusher, I can get a message to them without being noticed. However, this will only be a single message without a way to send a message back. That means they canʼt ask for more information before committing to a decision. It also canʼt contain too much information, in case one of your friends reports the message to the Array of Stars.”

Kyle took a deep breath.

ʼThat makes it hard to convince them. However, it also doesnʼt matter as much. They will probably all refuse the invitation anyway. The Cult is everyoneʼs enemy.ʼ

ʼBut I should still give them a fair shot. I should make the message as convincing as possible without putting pressure on them. It also shouldnʼt be deceitful. They need to know what theyʼre getting into.ʼ

Kyle summoned a piece of paper and wrote several sentences on it. At the very top, it said ”Swamp Dragon”.

Then, he made another message for Star Genesis and Manny.

After scratching the back of his head, Kyle also wrote one for Fierce Breaker. This message was much shorter since Kyle barely knew him. In a way, this was just to include him. While Kyle didnʼt know him very well, the other three probably knew him much better.

”These donʼt seem convincing,” Sebastian commented, looking at the messages.

”Theyʼre as convincing as I can make them without resorting to deceit or threats,” Kyle said.

”If you say so,” Sebastian said with a shrug.

Then, Kyle handed the messages to the Lord, who just looked at Kyle with an even expression.

”Iʼm an image,” he said. ”I canʼt deliver solid objects.”

”Oh, right,” Kyle said with a laugh.

”Iʼll send someone to get you two,” the Lord said. ”For now, you should come back to Orchis.”

The image of Orchis shot through Kyleʼs mind.

He had never thought that he would go back there.

”Sure,” he answered.
