Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 656 Comedian

Manny just kept looking at Kyle.

The next moment, Kyle stood up and walked towards Manny.

”Listen, buddy,” Kyle said with a dark tone. ”Activating your Complex Law and using it on me is already reason enough for me to attack you with the intent to kill.”

Manny just watched Kyle with interest.

He still didnʼt say anything.

He was just looking at him.

20 Swamp Dragons were looking at Kyle with confusion.

Kyle arrived in front of Manny and looked at him.

”Stop this nonsense, or you will be dead in three seconds. I swear on my Realm and my Karmic Luck.”

Mannyʼs brows rose in horror.

Everything returned to normal.

Swamp Dragon shook his head and looked around the room.

Then, his eyes landed on Manny, who was currently looking at Kyle with surprise.

He quickly realized what had happened.

His eyes narrowed, and he stood up.

”It was just a joke!” Manny quickly said, holding his hands up.

”Funny joke,” Kyle said dryly. ”If you keep being this funny, you might die of laughter.”

Swamp Dragon took a deep breath. ”Itʼs fine,” he said. ”His personality is… unusual.”

”If he keeps being this funny, his body will also be unusual,” Kyle said evenly.

”Calm down,” Manny said as he slowly stood up. ”Itʼs just a joke, okay? No reason to get upset.”

”The only upset person will be the janitor when he cleans this room if you keep being a comedian,” Kyle said.

Kyle looked into Mannyʼs eyes from just 30 centimeters away.

Swamp Dragon took a deep breath.

Manny was just smiling nervously as sweat started to run down his face.

Several seconds of silence passed.

That was when the door opened, and a fourth person walked in.

It was a young lady with dark-blue hair wearing the uniform of the Array of Stars.

The lady furrowed her brows as she looked around the room.

Naturally, she noticed the tense atmosphere.

”Is there a problem with the team composition?” she asked neutrally.

Swamp Dragon sighed.

Meanwhile, a bright smile appeared on Kyleʼs face.

”Hahaha!” he laughed as he slapped Mannyʼs right shoulder a couple of times.

Mannyʼs bones were creaking under Kyleʼs slaps, and he just smiled a nervous smile.

”Weʼre just joking around!” Kyle shouted. ”Right, buddy? Pal?”

Kyleʼs smile lost its authenticity as he looked at Manny. ”It was just a joke, right?” his voice was disjointedly calm when compared to his smile. ”No reason to be upset, right?”

”A joke?” Manny repeated. ”A joke!”

Then, he laughed as well, but his laugh was completely genuine.

”Oh, you got me! Good one!” he shouted loudly.

”Haha, yeah,” Kyle said as he turned around, his mirth vanishing from his tone in an instant.

He walked back to his chair and sat down, his expression neutral.

Meanwhile, Manny looked with interest at Kyle as he excitedly whipped back and forth in his chair.

Swamp Dragon sighed again and sat back down in his chair.

The young lady shook her head a bit.

The next moment, the broken table vanished, and a new one appeared.

Or, more precisely, it was the same table, just completely repaired.

The repairing Formation Arrays were fast.

The lady walked forward and stood in front of the group, which was a bit awkward since one person was to her left, while two people were to her right.

The discord in the team couldnʼt be more obvious.

”Iʼm going to ask again,” she said. ”Are there issues with the team composition? I have to stress that it is not an issue if there is. We need a good team, and if there are issues, I want them solved early. If you need a new team member, you will be given one within a couple of months.”

The lady primarily looked at Manny while talking.

He was alone, while the other two were together.

It was clear that the two on her right had no issues with each other.

Manny blinked a couple of times before looking at Kyle with interest.

”No! Everythingʼs fine!” he shouted.

Kyle rolled his eyes. ”You can leave if you want,” he commented. ”She just said that there are no negative consequences.”

”No! NO!” Manny shouted, almost like he was about to lose something valuable. ”Please, let me stay here! This is the best team Iʼve ever been in! I love it! I donʼt want to leave! Please!”

Kyle furrowed his brows as he looked at Manny.

ʼWhat the fuck is up with this guy?ʼ he thought. ʼI just told him I was about to kill him, and heʼs all excited to spend more time with me?ʼ

The lady furrowed her brows again.

Manny seemed… genuine.

This was not just an act.

He actually wanted to be here.

A moment later, she looked at Swamp Dragon.

”Iʼm fine,” Swamp Dragon said.

Then, she looked at Kyle.

”Depends,” Kyle answered, glancing at Manny. ”If he keeps being a comedian, we will leave as three and return as two. Otherwise, Iʼm fine with the composition.”

Naturally, the lady wasnʼt the biggest fan of what Kyle said.

Yet, instead of confronting Kyle, she looked at Manny. ”Psychosis Manifestation,” she said. ”This is your seventh team. If this keeps happening, you will never earn any resources.”

”I know!” Manny shouted. ”Iʼm trying my best! No worries! Everything will work out this time! I promise!”

The lady didnʼt believe Manny, and she just looked at him evenly. ”You said the same thing the last four times. I was willing to give you one last chance, and I arrive to this.”

”I didnʼt do anything!” Manny shouted.

”Psychosis Manifestation,” she said. ”We have investigation Formation Arrays, and you know that. I have already investigated everything that has happened in this room.”

”It was a joke!” Manny quickly shouted.

The lady didnʼt find the joke funny.

”One last chance,” she said.

Manny grew hopeful.

But then, the lady turned to Kyle. ”If he acts unprofessionally again, you may end his life, even if it is during a mission. As long as you and Swamp Dragon return, itʼs fine.”

Mannyʼs expression fell.

Meanwhile, Kyle smiled. ”Sure.”

Then, she turned to Swamp Dragon. ”I want you to keep an eye on your friend. If he kills Psychosis Manifestation, it must happen for a good reason. If thereʼs not a good reason, I want you to report to me.”

Swamp Dragon looked at Kyle.

He didnʼt want to choose between Kyle and his morals, but sometimes, there was no choice.

”I will,” Swamp Dragon said.

The lady had seen Swamp Dragonʼs profile, and she knew that he was someone who valued principles very highly.

”No worries,” Kyle said to Swamp Dragon. ”As long as heʼs not being a comedian, I wonʼt kill him. I donʼt want you to choose between a friend and your morals. Also, I donʼt want to die.”

Swamp Dragon smiled a bit. ”Thank you.”

The lady looked at the two of them for a while before turning to look at Manny.

”No accidents this time,” she said.

Manny smiled brightly and lifted his hand solemnly. ”I swear! No accidents!”

Everyone looked at him.
