Chapter 457 Armed to the Teeth

A huge being made of nothing but metallic swords attacked another huge being made of nothing but maces.

It canʼt be overstated how many swords and maces these two things had.

The feet were swords, the legs were swords, the torso was a big sword, the arms obviously were swords, the neck was a sword, and even the head was made of several swords.

The same thing was true for the thing made of maces.

It was just ridiculous.

Far away, Kyle was watching these two things fight it out.

Naturally, these two things were Metal Elementals, and not the weak kind.

Peak Metal Elementals.

Why did these two Metal Elementals have such strange appearances?

That was Kyleʼs doing.

After searching around for a bit, Kyle had found a couple of ore deposits that were gathering a ton of Ether while slowly moving towards each other.

Slowly, as in, continental drift levels of speed.

Kyle guessed that these ore deposits were about to form a Metal Elemental, and he experimented a bit.

What if he shoved the ore deposits together with some Metal Ether?

When he saw them meeting each other, he noticed how they formed some sort of resonance.

A Metal Elemental was about to be born.

Well… about to in a relative sense.

It might still take years.

So, Kyle decided to speed things up by shoving more Metal Ether into the ore, which worked, surprisingly.

Just a day later, the ore liquified and fused, and moments later, the puddle of liquid metal started to move.

Since everything happened underground, the liquid lifeform couldnʼt perceive anything else that moved, except magma.

The first thing it would perceive would be the blueprint for its appearance.

ʼI wanna learn about metalʼs properties,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼMight as well see what happens if I do this.ʼ

Then, Kyle created a little man out of weak metal and manipulated the metal to make it seem like it was a living thing.

The newly born Metal Elemental perceived the little man and copied its appearance.

After that, it killed and consumed the metal man.

Naturally, Kyle kept away from the Metal Elemental and just let it roam around.

When it finally met another Metal Elemental, the two started to fight.

Unsurprisingly, the Sword Metal Elemental won.

After all, this thing was literally just weapons.

Over the next weeks, the Sword Metal Elemental grew stronger by absorbing other Metal Elementals until it became a Peak Metal Elemental.

Of course, Kyle had also experimented with other Metal Elementals, and eventually, two of them met.

The Mace Metal Elemental and the Sword Metal Elemental.

Cutting stuff was a common use of metal, and hammering shit was a common use of metal.

So, why not just watch these two aspects work in a natural manner?

The great thing about Metal Elementals was that they had an unparalleled Metal Affinity.

The aspects of metal came naturally to them.

They learned stuff about metal so quickly that it made it seem like they knew everything instinctually and were just getting more familiar with their own knowledge.

Usually, that was not really relevant since Metal Elementals mimicked biological lifeforms, and biological lifeforms generally didnʼt have bodies that fit metal as an Element.

But swords and maces were great uses for metal, which made these Metal Elementals made of weapons more powerful than regular Metal Elements.

The battle between the Mace Metal Elemental and the Sword Metal Elemental had been going on for days already, which was more than shocking.

After all, battles on this level usually didnʼt even reach a full minute.

Yet, these two had been going at it for days.

The reason was pretty simple.

Neither of the two had weak spots.

ʼItʼs actually crazy how strong these two are,ʼ Kyle thought as he watched from a distance. ʼThe speed at which theyʼre growing is insane.ʼ

Near the beginning, the Sword Metal Elemental managed to cut small gashes into the Mace Metal Elementalʼs body.

Yet, before it could reach the core, the other Metal Elemental did something to its own metal.

Kyle couldnʼt be sure what exactly it had done, but the swords could no longer make grooves.

Instead, the swords started to chip.

More and more of the Sword Metal Elementalʼs body got damaged and chipped.

But then, it became sharper again and stopped receiving damage.

That was because the swords became more flexible, which allowed them to stay in one piece after being struck by something hard and heavy.

For a while, the fight was even again, but then, the edges of the swords became denser and sharper.

The other Metal Elemental started to receive damage again.

But then, it became harder again, and the damage stopped.

This process was repeated a couple of times, and now, the two Metal Elementals were simply attacking each other without damaging each other.

They were just standing there, in melee range, constantly launching attacks. Whenever a new Metal Elemental arrived, they simply killed it, absorbed it, and returned to fighting.

ʼThey havenʼt changed for over three days,ʼ Kyle thought as he watched the battle. ʼTheyʼre probably already at the peak of their capabilities. There are no more things they can improve without changing the shape of their bodies or by looking at completely different aspects of metal.ʼ

ʼWell, this is as good as itʼs going to get. Time to learn.ʼ

Kyle readied himself and charged towards them.

As soon as he arrived, the two Metal Elementals attacked him.

Kyle summoned his armor made of Rank S Materials and approached the Sword Metal Elemental.

CRK!

He allowed it to attack him, and the sword managed to break through his armor and even managed to draw a bit of blood.

This took Kyle a bit by surprise, but he had been prepared for that eventuality.

He quickly used his mastery over metal to change the shape of the sword that touched him so that it couldnʼt infuse him with foreign Ether.

Metal Elementals were made of Rank A Materials, and Kyle knew all Rank A Materials.

While he couldnʼt remotely manipulate their bodies due to their will, as long as he touched them, he could manipulate them.

BANG!

Kyle blocked a strike from the Metal Elementalʼs mace, and his entire body shook, some of his muscles tearing.

His physical power was more powerful than theirs due to his Aristocratʼs Body and his four specks.

And yet, the strike had still shaken him tremendously.

ʼJust the fact that a sword made of Rank A Material can cut through such thick armor made of Rank S Materials shows that they have mastered aspects of metal I donʼt know.ʼ

ʼAfter all, if I knew these aspects, my armor would be able to withstand these strikes.ʼ

Kyle smirked as the two Metal Elementals continued attacking him.

ʼJust what I wanted.ʼ
